HOW DO I THROW A HUGE PARTY WHILE MY PARENTS ARE AWAY?

I'm 17 and I almost don't have a life. So I wanna throw a party to make it all up also because I have no real friends. I wanna do this when my parents are away for the weekend. I dont chill with anyone I just make small talk in school with the people I know. So screw it. I have a really huge 112yr old house. I have a few things in my house thats anitique but I have no liquor, barely any snacks no huge sound system (so i want a DJ). So basically all I have is just a good setting to throw a party I dont even have any money. How would you throw a party if u were in my position?

Why are peole so offended that I don't want children?

Some people get offended because they misinterpret your declaration to not have children as an indication that thier decision to have them (or want them) is wrong. I assume that you mean no such thing, so you will have to leave them to deal with thier own issue because you can't fix that for them.

If you can't make a different choice than I did without me feeling upset, then that's not really your problem, right?

Some people really just love kids so much that it's unfathomable that someone else doesn't. They don't mean to offend with thier comments anymore than you mean to offend with your comment about not wanting kids...it's just thier thoughts coming out. I could possibly fall into this category from time to time with friends. They might think I'm judging them by being surprised that they don't want kids when really I'm just surprised to hear it from that particular person.

Some folks have really sad reasons that they don't have kids and thier own pain probably makes them more defensive (and possibly offensive) than they intend to be. If you are starved and see someone trash a sandwich; it'll affect you a little differently than if you are full and see the same thing. Just pray for those folks.

Oh and for those wonderful people who say you are selfish to not have kids (that's just rude), you can politely remind them that it's probably more selfish for them to insist that you have a child that they don't intend to help you birth, pay for or raise for the next 18 years. How off is that??? To tell someone to take on a gigantic responsibility that they will have to deal with and not you.

As much as I love kids, they are a LOT of work and a lot of responsibility and I can certainly respect that not everyone wants to take on that particular responsibility.

Are bars and clubs good places to meet girls?

and I don't just mean for one night stands. I'm at the point where I am ready for a relationship again. However the only 3 girls I've met that I would want to date are out of reach. One just got a boyfriend who is apparently great, one has had a boyfriend for the greater part of 4 years, and the last one (who I just recently met) just go out of a rough relationship and said she is just looking for some guys (my roommate and I in this case) to be friend with. So I'm pretty sure I've been friend zoned with her but I'm not 100% sure yet.

Either way, where is a good place to meed girls? I go to bars and clubs here but the girls where I live are actually harder to talk to. I live in NH and guys who moved here say that girls in other parts of the country are much more open to talking and dancing, where many girls here are almost stuck up.

Why is the Huffington Post widely hated?

It's puff piece journalism. I am a left leaning person, however I have little tolerance for the constant streams of fawning and gushing over Democrats. Check out the background of their "editoral staff"- 20 year old political science grads fresh out of some left wing non profit political think tanks. Sleazy tactics for headlines- use of keywords to draw site hits despite being irrelevant to the topic. It's also amateurish- I can't recall how many times I have seen the word "awesome" in a headline- it doesn't take much to figure out the demographic of their editoral staff. I wouldn't cite reference to them - their bias is transparent and shallow- I'd be embarrassed to. What they try to pawn off is weak. Here’s an example of the amateurish journalism- along with some racebaiting:Truly my fav- an example of how pathetic a 20 something political science major pretending to be a journalist can go:Sadly this was man who wrote this headline:It appears their “Entertainment” section is the work of some teenage girl that bombards their readers with nonstop Jennifer Aniston, Miley Cyrus and SNL.. which also doesn’t say good things about their readers. Here’s proof how out of touch they are.. on the day of the Hawaiian volcano, THIS New Age Nutcase article was their headline news! Yep, FISH SEX.and another (loved the mom part)..
