Why do some people follow me on Instagram but never like my pictures?

Why do people not follow other people back on Instagram?
Because people are self-absorbed, narcissistic and live in their own little universe.It’s an unspoken social media rule to follow people back, especially on Instagram where everyone is out there to share their art, food, or their own images.I have unfollowed most people who never bothered to check out my work though I have been religiously liking, commenting and appreciating their work.It’s common sense that when someone takes effort to like more than 5–6 images, you are only being kind by returning the favor.The only community of people who genuinely comment on my work are wildlife photographers. And, I reciprocate. Since then, I try to follow only wildlife photographers.It’s frustrating to follow such people, especially the Indian women food bloggers. They think people have a lot of free time to just like their images and not expect anything in return.Not sure what they think of themselves.
How do people on instagram get more followers than following?
I've always wondered how? (and twitter too!) Are you always suppose to follow people back? Or just hash tag alot ? I dont understand but people have like 100's more followers than the number of people they're following. How do they do it?
Why people unfollow people on Instagram?
I wouldn't go as far as saying they don't like you! The reason usually stems from lack of interest on their part. If you aren't posting enough pictures that capture their attention, they start to wonder if they should follow your account at all. Don't think of it as them unfollowing you, the person, think of it as them unfollowing the content that your account is posting. Try posting more pictures that would cater to their - or other people's - likes. For example, pictures of food usually has split decisions on weither or not people like them. I can't tell you what to post, but I can tell you in order to keep follower, you need content. Hope that helps!
Do you get upset when people unfollow you on Instagram?

You can’t possibly please everyone, so don’t try. If a couple people decide to unfollow you, that’s ok. It doesn’t discredit who you are or what your brand offers.On a side note, if after posting a certain post, you lose a large amount of followers, this may actually be of concern. In this situation you should really take a step back and determine what caused those reactions. Apologies or damage-control tactics may be in order.We all deal with life events in our own way. What disappoints me, may not phase you. What makes you happy, may not register with me. That’s what makes us human. Just remember that on the other side of that profile picture is a real human being and if they chose to unfollow you, that was their choice, not yours.The important thing to remember, is not to take these things too personally. Why is she following me on Instagram?
This girl that I was friends with in school. I think she's absolutely perfect, One of the mist beautiful ppl I've ever seen. Everyone was seriously obsessed with her both guys and girls. But I used to treat her so awkwardly and rudely. We had the most awkward friendship, I'd ignore her sometimes. When we were alone together it was so awkward. She probably thought I was so weird. Yet she still liked me. She always smiled and stared at me. Was always happy to see me. I found it so weird that someone like her liked me and put up with my weirdness for so long. I always wondered WHY she liked me so much. Sometimes I can tell she was confused by me, she would stare at me, act apprehensive with me, ignore me back some days, act really distant. But in the end she stayed friendly to me. I followed her Instagram, she has 700 follows and only follows about 290.. But she followed me back. I see that she also followed back one our mutual friends but then a week later unfollowed her. But why does she still follow me? For a year she would never like anything I post but now she likes my stuff all the time...
How to get instagram followers?
First of all, I wouldn't recommend getting "free followers." They'll not do anything. They are basically just ghost followers who don't like your pictures. They'll come and go. So instead, here's a few tips on how to get followers. 1) Post at least one picture a day. VERY IMPORTANT! 2) Follow people back.. Don't be those uptight accounts who think they're too good for anyone. lol. 3) Show some love! Like other people's pictures! 4) Spam your followers to let them know you're not a ghost follower. Random spams are the best. 5) Comment on pictures so people see your account and they'll want to follow you! 6) Don't hashtag anything like "#instagood" etc. You'll just gain unwanted followers. Sure you'll get likes, but they wont be forever. You need followers you can depend on. So just hashtag at least 5 things per picture if you just have to lol. 7) Have an original bio! Be funny and nice. :) 8) BE PATIENT! Your followers and likes will come soon. :) I think that's all you need to know in order to gain followers! Good luck!
