Why do I feel sick every time I eat meat?

I've never been a vegetarian so eating meat shouldn't upset my stomach but it does. Almost every time I eat meat I feel nauseous, like I'm gonna puke. The feeling lasts for an hour sometimes 2. I've tried cutting meat out all together, but that's not good for anybody who's been a meat eater their whole life. Any and all help would be appreciated. Please and thank you.

Feeling sick every time I eat?

I feel the same way every time I eat. I've been to the doctor multiple times about it and so far they haven't been able to really do anything about it. Basically based on my own research and what the doctor has told me I have narrowed it down to a few things that might be causing this:
- Acid Reflux
- IBS
- Lactose Intolerance
- Celiac Disease
- Stress

I would suggest you first step should be to start a food log. Write down what you eat and how you are feeling after you eat it. Then bring that into the doctor with you. (The doctor will proabbly ask you to do this anyways so your just saving yourself a doctor visit). The doctor can then use this information to try and figure out whats wrong.

Now with myself I have noticed there are a few things that make my stomach worse:
- Tomato based products (tomato sauce...pizza)
- Heavy milk products (icecream, milkshakes....)
- Certain Vegtables (Lettuce, green peppers...)

Also I have noticed stress plays a HUGE role in how my stomach feels.

I've found that mylanta chewables REALLY help. I chew 2 and within a few minutes I am feeling better. I wouldn't worry about taking too many either. Just take them whenever youre feeling sick.

Also believe it or not water really helps. Whenver I start to feel nausious I drink some water (sometimes along with the mylanta) and I start to feel better.

Also try to avoid the foods that you know are going to upset your stomach. If you do eat something that you know is going to upset your stomach take some mylanta right before or right after you get done eating.

Why is it everytime i eat i feel fat?

Try breaking your meals down into six smaller size portions rather than 3 normal size portions - that is the best way to help you lose weight as your metabolism becomes more regulated.

Instead of having breakfast, lunch and dinner - have breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner - usually at about 3 hour intervals.

Why do i feel like throwing up everytime i eat?

Is it certain foods? Certain times of day? or every meal? Have you been ill? Have other symptoms like achiness, fever, or flu-like symptoms? Are you nauseous if you eat a "snack"-like a small meal? Is it just food or drinks also? Narrowing down some of your symptoms will help diagnose what's wrong - Are you coming down with the flu or stomach virus? Are you having an over abundance of stomach acid(can try OTC Zantac) --Possible hiatal hernia? (which I suspect) If you get no relief- see your Dr. or gastroenterologist for a diagnosis.

Every time I eat food it feels like I'm going to choke?

Every time I eat any type of food I choke on the food (Indicated, normally, by feeling very light headed whenever choking, not being able to breathe, etc.), no matter the size of the food (I chew it very thoroughly) Every time I eat it feels like a piece of the food I ate is stuck in my throat, but still not making me choke. I can't get it up or down, either. My parents refuse to bring me to the doctor, also. About 1/4 of the time I eat a piece of food I choke on it. Is there a problem with me or something? Is there any way to stop from this happening? This all started whenever I was in a restaurant and I choked on a mussel. Please help! Thanks!

Every time that I eat something I feel like puking. What should I do to soothe this feeling?

First go to a medical doctor to rule out an organic cause. Then, if there's nothing obviously wrong on a sheer physical level, ask for a referral to a therapist. It might be anxiety or an eating issue that's affecting you. To get through the time until you can see a doctor, try a little antacid or maalox, eat bland foods (yogurt, toast, whatever you can manage). Eat slowly and try to be calm while you're eating.

Every time i eat i feel like throwing up?

okay so im NOT pregnant im still a virgin. but every time i eat i feel like im going to puke it has been going on for the last few days so i haven't really been eating. i have only actually thrown up once. im still eating just not that much. and i know its bad to not eat. my personal trainer has already chewed me out for not eating and made me eat. my parents keep asking me if im pregnant and there is no way i am as i said im a virgin. why do i feel this way should i go to the doctors? every time i take a bite of something i gag. and when i think about eating i wanna puke also. what should i do is there something wrong with me. my head and my stomach have been hurting every once in a while also

Every time i eat i feel like vomiting afterwards?

I drink a lot of fluids but whenever i eat i would randomly feel like vomiting. And my nose is really sensitive to smell, because before i ate i smelled something and i start dry heaving. I can't throw up because my body really won't let me (and i don't want to) like, if i wanted to vomit i wouldn't let me (if that makes any sense) back to the eating thing, whenever i eat i just feel like vomiting and i start gagging and dry heaving. I literally love food and i'm always going back for seconds and stuff, but lately i haven't had much of an appetite for any real food, all i've been eating are these little sweet rolls. The only thing i want to eat is mac and cheese and my mom made home made mac and cheese but every time i smell it i feel sick. and my mom's really upset because i wont eat any of the food in the house and i keep telling her it;s making me sick and she gets mad. The only thing i've been able to eat are these mac and cheese cups from the dollar store and she wont take me to get any. What could be wrong with me. I'm 14 turning 15 in may. could it be puberty?

Why do I feel sick every time I eat pizza? How can I prevent this?

IANAD, but going on my own situation and the advice given to me by my own GP, it’s possible that you have gallstones. Many people do have them and never know it unless they are revealed by a test for some other condition, which was how I discovered I have them. I had a CT scan as part of a lung-study research project ( I used to smoke), which showed clear lungs (whew!), but gallstones. My doctor asked if I ever feel nauseous after eating a meal high in fat. I do, though I hadn’t thought it mattered, and she told me it could be because of the gallstones that I certainly have.So the answer for me is easy: avoid eating a lot of fat. It works, for me anyway, and it’s also good to know that as well as avoiding nausea I’m reducing the chances of having a painful gall-stone attack. And losing weight!Commercially-made or restaurant pizza is usually very high in fat. You can find out if this is what’s wrong in your case by trying other fatty foods without the ingredients of pizza in them at one meal, and by trying the other ingredients of pizza without all the fat at another meal. Maybe you could make your own “pizza” by using ordinary bread as the crust, spreading a tomato sauce on it, adding mushrooms, peppers or whatever, and then adding only low-fat meats and cheese and not too much of them. It won’t be as nice of course, but it will mean that you will know if it’s the fat or some other ingredient that’s causing the problem. If it’s not the fat, then you could try again but cutting out a different ingredient each time and including all the others. You can buy bare pizza crusts and put the other things on them yourself; those will be nicer than regular bread for all the pizzas but the one without crust.Once you’ve found out what’s causing it, you can just not eat that one thing. I guess it means you’ll be making all your own pizzas from scratch, but you might find you prefer them to commercial ones anyway. In case the question changes, the one I answered was: “Why do I feel sick every time I eat pizza? How can I prevent this?”
