Ex-husband Owes Me $9000 In Back Spousal Support

What are some ways to get out of child support?

This answer is coming from a single parent, a Mom who never received one dime of child support, because my ex told his lawyer; “How do I know my money is being spent on my child and not on her?”I was a single Mother, working and raising my daughter alone. My boyfriend, walked out on us 9 months after she was born. He never wanted kids and still acted like a teenage boy, who wanted to screw anything in a skirt.I took him to court and he was forced to pay $300/month. He immediately quit his job and moved away. I found out later, that he had a new girlfriend and worked at a night-club for cash only.Again, I went after him for non-payment and my lawyer contacted his employer and he was fired. So he simply got another part-time job painting houses, where he insisted on being paid in cash. After awhile, I simply gave up and he was free to live his life.I realize that most people try to defend their point of; “why should I have to pay child support?” Also, there are several postings which I agree with, however the sad truth is that MOST dead-beat parents are men, and these men feel they shouldn’t have to pay. But, it takes two-to-tango - so stop blaming the wives and girlfriends for getting pregnant. Raising a child alone costs a lot of money!Rent $$$Utilities $$$Food $$$Reliable Car & gas for that vehicle & Insurance $$$Entertainment $$$School supplies $$$Clothing $$$I was able to find a good-paying job, a low-rent complex, where I rented a very nice townhouse, I bought a reliable used car and I had the support of my family. I am (most definitely) not a bad parent, I worked and raised my child, and I stayed home on Saturday nights, while my friends were out having fun and I was and still am a good Mother. My dead-beat boyfriend never paid me a dime of child support. I also found out that he has (6) children with (6) different women. Note ( he told me he never liked wearing a condom?) So, I guess I feel bad for those other women who thought they could change him, and I know that he’s not paid them either.Sorry men, but if you chose you have sex, then you need to PAY !

Can someone explain social securtiy to me?! Just the basics of it?

Workers pay money to Social Security administration, which uses them to pay pensions to retirees.

It will go bankrupt in a few years as there are more and more retirees. So they will have to increase social security "tax" on workers, or fund it with federal money (other taxes).

There is lots of talk about switching to "retirement account" approach (social security invests the money you pay, then uses that investment to pay your own pension). But the problem is paying off those people who are retired now, and cannot possibly put money into their account.

So it again has to be financed by some huge borrowing.

And neither Rep nor Dem candidates do not care about it.

How to determine whether to file injured spouse form or not?

My husband owes approx $70K in back child support and approx $6k to the IRS. He has been marked as uncollectable status by the IRS but I am sure they will still take his return and if they didn't then child support will. He made approx $51k paying $9000 in federal taxes ($15,000 plus was paid to child support) and I made approx $21k w/approx $1700 in federal taxes. We have 1 child together and I have 2 of my own. Child support says he has to claim our child we have together or he will need to pay more child support per/mo. I thought I read somewhere that in ordered for the injured spouse to benefit the injured person would have had to had the bigger yearly gross income. We have been married for 6 yrs now and I have never filed this because I didn't know if there is any benefit to me. I have always file MFS. I am always told how I am losing out on so much money due to the EIC credit we miss. The tax preparer we used last year said he looked at it and it wouldn't have helped to file MFJ w/inured spouse form. I am ok to wait longer for my refund if it means a larger refund than usual. Can someone please give me advise on this?

If I deposit 20,000 cash in my checking account, will I be red flagged from IRS?

Oh my, no. Plus, I never heard of”red flagging”. Sounds like a race for bulls. All we do, and its harmless, is fill out a CTR (currency transaction report) after the first $10,000. We would report the whole transaction, listing all that is known about it. These are sent to the government, where they sit. Most never get seen again. End of story. We never ever talk to the IRS, by the way. They talk thru attorneys, any way. We have no direct line to the IRS, for example. That is just a misconception. So, deposit the money. HELP the bank complete the CTr accurately. It is in your interest to do so.DO NOT break it up into chunks to evade the reporting requirement; THAT is illegal (structuring to evade) and even has a nickname; “smurfing”.Know that we do have solid obligations and methods to total the deposits for a day and issue the report, whether you want us to or not. We are obligated to by federal law.Its your $20k. If you earned it legally (whether taxes are owed on it is 100% irrelevant), you should WANT us to fill out the CTR. Please do not fear it. Doing so protects you MORE than any repercussions this natural, but unfounded, fear causes you to imagine.

How do people get such hugh refunds?

My daughter and her husband got back a hugh tax refund. I don't get it! They don't own a house and He claims 5 dependent's during the year, when there's only 4 of them. His bring home pay is over 1900 dollars every two weeks. The only deductions they have to itemizing their taxes would be his 401k, 2 kids, themselves, part of his medical insurance [ his employer pays most of it] and medical bills [ which I could count on one hand how many times they've gone to a doctor and dentist]. And just for their state refund it was a $1000. As for me, I have one child and myself, I own a home which I pay interest on plus insurance, plus medical and dental bill [ and I take us to the doctor and dentist] Uniforms I have to have for my job, Property taxes plus other deductions and I bring home less then half what he does every two weeks! And I still have to pay both Federal and State tax!! WHAT THE HECK??!! I don't understand where people are getting these hugh tax refunds and I can't catch a break! It's so not fair! Yes I am married and I file separately from my spouse but I'd have to pay more filing with him! But even my husband doesn't bring home what my son-in-law does. Both our checks together barley come up to 1900 every two weeks. My husbands has been layed off from his job several times. His still got his job but there's no work so they have to lay him off for a week here and a week there. And we don't claim 5 dependents! And I know it's best to file jointly but it's bad enough to have to pay in anything much less have to pay over 1200 each!!! God give me a break....Please!! Do you think more people are cheating on their taxes now? Even my husband has said the same thing about men he works with that rent homes. How are they getting such hugh refunds?!

MY tax refund is showing much lower this year..whyyy???2009?

i was employed and filed last year my income was $16,734.00, total axes paid ( state federal, medic, local, soc sec) were about $3,900, i got close to a $3000 refund, i did simple refund, i have unemployed spouse we filled jointly

this year i made a total of $51,000 and paid $11,000
in total taxes (state ,local, federeal, social, medic for both w2's)::... my spouse is still un employed same as last year but when i tried to do efile its showing i am going to get only $2000 return, and one even said it was going to be less that $1000

i dont know whats going on, can someone help me

all my activities in both years were the same, i live in the same house (renting) and was filing a standard return on both cases.. i dont have children either and no one can claim either me or my wife as their dependents..

teh situation is almost identical from last year and this year the only difference is that i was absorbed from my temp job to my company thus the 2 W2's and the increased amount of both the income and the taxes

What is the Chase check cashing policy?

There are many different types of situations when it comes to the chase check cashing policy and each one is unique but here are some of the most important ones.If you received a check payable to you that was drawn through Chase Bank then you could go to a Chase Bank branch to cash the check. However, if you are not a Chase customer then you will have to pay a fee of 6 dollars. If you made one of your personal Chase Bank checks payable to somebody; that individual can show up at a chase branch to cash the check that you wrote. However, Chase Bank will require that person to show an Identification Card.If you deposit a check to your Chase Account through the ATM machine. It takes one business day for the funds to be available. Business days mean days when the bank is open; holidays and weekends are not business days. So if you deposited a check into a chase ATM machine on a Friday afternoon then the funds might not be available until Monday morning.Chase does take legal option for those who committed fraud and cashed a fake check. If you either show up in person to cash a large amount check or you deposit it into your account then the check might be put on hold and only part of the funds will be available; the rest will remain on hold until the check and the funds are completely validated.
