Why do I have a Wi-Fi connection but no Internet access?

1) remove current wireless network profile(forget) and connect again to your network.2) check your IP address and your gateway address.(must not to be 169.254.*.*)3) pinging your Gateway (your Router) IP address. if you have reply from it go to next, else you can't connect to your router, maybe your connection blocked by some sort of antivirus or firewall program.4) pinging an URL address for example: ping  yahoo.com. if you have reply from yahoo ip address (something like 206.190.36.*) go to next, else probably  the problem come from your router or your ISP.5) pinging 4.2.2.4 , if you have reply you have internet on your device but maybe it's blocked by some sort of antivirus or firewall program, or maybe your browsers proxy setting, else you have DNS issues. change your DNS server to public DNS for test, like google dns(8.8.8.8).

Wifi connected but no internet access. Also there is an exclamation mark on that triangle. How can I solve this?

May be you have to login to wifi so that you will get internet access. For example - if you are using ACT internetOnce you connect to wifi it will show you have internet but you cannot browse. For this you have to open browser goto http://portal.acttv.in and login with your userid and password . You may register if you are first time user.Once you login successfully you will be able to access all the sites. This is just an assumption , It may be a different issue as well. As I don't have much information abut your issue and the ISP provider.Image source - What is Your Internet Provider and Plan?

Android device connects to wifi but no internet?

So I've had my galaxy tablet for over six months now and at first it worked just fine, it was connecting to the internet with no problem. But a month ago the password to our wifi changed, and it worked a few weeks after I entered the new password, but one day I had opened the tablet and I couldn't access the internet at all. The weird thing is that the wifi is still there, it keeps telling me its "saved, secured" but I can't access the internet at all. And it's definitely not a problem with the wifi because ever other device in the house works just fine. And I've tried almost every method: I've forgotten the network and typed it in again, I've rebooted just about anything you can reboot, I've reset it back to factory settings (probably not a smart move, but oh well), I've changed the IP address several times. But nothing seems to work and it keeps saying its connected but with no internet access at all. I really need to fix the tablet soon, so answers would really, really be appreciated. Thank you!

"Actiontec WCB6200Q Wifi Extender" No Internet Access?

Hello, I have a "Actiontec WCB6200Q" Wireless Extender. It's connected directly to the wall. All the lights on the WiFi Extender are not blinking. When I try connecting with multiple devices to the WiFi Extender it gives me an error on every device saying "No Internet Access" (Even with a Ethernet Cable). It doesn't have the same password as the Modem either. Please Help!!

Windows 10, connected to wifi but no internet access ?

I have an hp pavilion g6 laptop and a Linksys wifi router and a modem all of which work well for my cell phone, iPod, moms laptop, and every other device pretty much except for my laptop. It says it s connected and identifies the password protection on the router and everything but for some reason past that it says I have no internet access ? I m very confused as to why it says that. I restarted it. Airplane mode was toggled. Checked any firewall problems as some forums suggested. Tried seeing if there was an issue with my laptop in the device manager. any suggestions ? Thanks ahead of time!

Wifi connected but no internet connection?

Do your roommate's devices work through the same router and WiFi network that you are trying to use? I suspect the answer is yes. If this is the case, it would suggest that either you have accidentally tried to connect to the wrong network, in which case your encryption password will be wrong, or you have the wrong password. Since your laptop works at Starbucks and if your friend can use his or her equipment in your room, then it suggests a configuration problem rather than a hardware or operating system problem.

Is the network name hidden by the router? If so, then you need to make your devices connect to a hidden WiFi signal (a router that is not broadcasting its name).

Check the addresses that your friend's computer has and compare the results with your own. These include:

The TCP/IP v4 IP address
The Net Mask
The Gateway Address
The DNS Server Addresses

The IP addresses should be the same except for the final numerical group. The Net Mask, Gateway and DNS addresses should be identical on the two machines.

I hope you find the answer.
