Explain The Argument From Design For The Existence Of God When It Is Interpreted As An .

What is your opinion of these 5 arguments for God's existence?

1. The Cosmological Argument; Whatever begins to exist has a cause. The universe began to exist. Therefore, the universe has a cause. God is the best explanation for that cause.

2. The Teleological Argument; The fine-tuning of the universe is so improbable that law or chance aren’t adequate explanations. God is the best explanation.

3. The Moral Argument; If God does not exist, then objective moral values do not exist. Rape isn’t just culturally unacceptable, it’s actually wrong.

4. The Resurrection of Jesus; The vast majority of historians generally agree that the tomb was empty. Separately, the vast majority of historians generally agree that Jesus appeared to people post-mortem. The hypothesis “God raised Jesus from the dead” is the best explanation of these facts.

5. The Immediate Experience of God; Belief that God exists may be rationally accepted as a basic belief not grounded in argument.

Can mathematics prove the existence of God or intelligent design?

Kurt Godel provided a mathematical proof. Here it Goes…Every proof that we formulate are based on certain basic principles which cannot be proved formally. For example, we can prove the Pythagorean Theorem with much ease, but if we look into the tools we use to do this: principles of Euclidean Geometry, which one cannot prove formally....we come to know the value of faith. Its faith that make us think "Yes, the postulates cannot be falsified". As per Godel, if we draw a circle, everything inside it cannot define itself without reference to something outside the circle. As per I know, Universe is proved not being "infinite" in all directions as per the popular belief. So, if you encircle the whole universe in within a circle, we can understand that there is a "being" outside circle. This being must be absolute, infinite in all directions, since we cannot encircle it along with the universe. It must be concious, since it can explain the contents inside the circle.Amazingly, the definitions provided by various prophets regarding God match this. So, by supporting the fact that faith and reason are comrades, not enemies, we can conclude that a certain absolute "Being" does exist, which we may unmistakeably refer to as "God".I was enlightened about this amazing thing, after I read a blog by Perry Marshall

What are the best philosophical arguments against the existence of a god?

Seems that the best arguments against the existence of god all rely on there being evil in the world. There are two different arguments from evil. The first is the logical problem of evil. It states that by the definition of god, namely being all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good, and the fact that evil exists disproves god. It would be a logical contradiction, making the theist deny one of the three "all" statements. However, it is widely thought that this argument ultimately does not work because if you can provide a possible reason for why god would allow evil, then the argument fails. It is commonly thought that Plantinga sufficiently provided a reason why god would allow evil, free will. The second is what is now referred to as the evidential  problem of evil. It is much harder to argue against because it is simply stating that the types of evil and the amount of evil that we find in our world is strong evidence against the existence of god. This includes both moral (caused by humans) and natural (earthquakes, tornados, etc.) evil. William Rowe's fawn is a good example of natural evil. To overcome this argument, a theist would have to prove that not only is there a possible explanation for why evil exists but it has to be extremely probable. Arguments for why belief in a Christian God would be immoral could revolve around the idea of hell, the fact that evil exists when the Christian God could stop it, could be based off of the idea of predestination if the Christian God chooses who to save, and others.

Explain Aquinas’ argument that faith cannot contradict reason?

Faith is needed when the limits of reason are reached.
You must go outside the limit of reason to obtain faith.

Religious faith is self serving egotism masquerading as morality.

"Faith: Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel."
----Ambrose Bierce
