Eyelash Extensions Good Or Bad

Eyelash Extensions: Good or Bad?

I'm doing some on air work, and I feel like I'm spending tons of money (and time!) on fake lashes. I'd like to eliminate the hassle and get extensions, but I've heard horror stories about them. Does anyone have any personal experience with them? Any tips to share?
Thanks!
oh! I'm also wondering if it's true that once you start with them you really can't stop (something about your natural lashes breaking down over time so if you stop the extensions you'll look "bald").

Are eyelash extensions bad for your eyes?

Nope, they do not harm your eyes :) Though, if they are put on incorrectly, they can cause your actual eyelashes to fall out. Hope this helps!

Lash extensions ... are they a good idea?

Mascara seems too stuff, especially the waterproof, and I just don't get how to glue on false eyelashes. The point is, I really want a little thicker & bit darker lashes. (My avatar is me.) does anyone have experience good or bad with lash extensions? There's a shop nearby that advertises Xtreme Lashes.

I don't want to do anymore things that end up being 'stupid' if you know what I mean.

Thanks for ur help.

Are eyelash extensions worth it?

Eyelash extensions really enhance your eyes. If done properly, they will not damage your natural lashes. That means you do not have lashes applied that are longer than 1/2 the length of your natural lashes, make sure the tech uses a medical grade adhesive, does not apply them closer than 1 to 2mm from your eyelid skin and you are very careful not to pull on them (your natural lash will pull out before the glue bond will break). She should give you after care instructions that will include not getting any oil based products on them, wearing only water based mascara (if any at all), not getting them wet for 12 hours and only gently rinsing your eyes as opposed to washing them by rubbing. I also suggest you take a break from them every 6 months or so as the weight of the lashes can cause your natural lashes to fall out a week or so early from their natural cycle. You will be astonished at how beautiful your eyes can look with a properly applied set of about 55 eyelashes per eye.

What is a good name for an eyelash extension salon?

Do you plan on opening such a business? I recommend you don’t let random Quorans name it.There are companies that specialize in naming companies and products. It is a niche within the marketing industry. They will generate lots and lots of names, and check them for things like whether someone else has already trademarked the names, or whether they mean something weird in another language. As well as, of course, whether they are good names for the business. You won’t get that from Quora. Even if there are Quorans in the business, I’m sure they won’t go to the trouble of generating, researching, and winnowing hundreds of names for the sake of a Quora answer.

Do eyelashes extensions really ruin your own♥?

Eyelash extensions will not hurt your natural lashes. In most cases the stories that you hear about people losing their lashes is because they pulled off the extension and the natural lash came along with it.

Eyelash extensions are just like getting your nails done or a hair cut, there are good jobs and there are bad jobs. Look for someone that has gotten a good eyelash extension job and go to their lash artist. Just because someone is certified does not mean they will give you a good eyelash extension job. Make sure that the glue used does not have formaldehyde in it. Most glues these days do not have formaldehyde but a few still do. I would suggest synthetic silk lashes over mink. Mink lashes are manually curled and with washing and handling they lose their curl where synthetic silk lashes will not lose their curl.

When you decide you do not want eyelash extensions anymore do not pull them off. Let the lashes fall off with your natural lashes (natural lashes have about a 60 day life cycle). Or, go to your lash artist and have them professionally take the extensions off. I charge $15 to take off extensions and it takes about 15 minutes.

Anyone with bad/good experiences with eyelash extensions?

They are safe, but they will take your real ones out...even if you have short ones. They can last up to two weeks if you get them individually placed. I dont have them, but tried them once.
