If I mark a message as unread on facebook after reading it will the other person know I read it?
Yes. As soon as you've seen the message Facebook will tell the other user. You could try going onto the full list of messages and just reading the preview message off there, provided it's not too long. Or, as I do, just pie them. Hope this helps.

I message someone on Facebook messagner and everytime I message them today it goes straight to seen like skip delivered in all. It doesnt make sense because how are they reading them so fast unless they have it open or literally looking at their inbox as I type but even then still have to click the inbox. It keep saying seen on every message and these messages are hours apart. This happen to me before too and I thought the person was ignoring me, but when I checked it again it went from seen to delievered the next day. It also looks like they not even in messanger because they dont have the blue symbole just the gray Facebook logo

I sent a guy a message on Facebook Ten minuted later I looked and I could have sworn it said 'read' I looked again, another ten minutes later and it was still unread! Did he in some way read it and then mark as unread? I didn't think this was possible! I could have sworn I saw he'd read it. Maybe I imagined it

yes, that is what "mark as unread" means however, there is a trick to it... if the person is basically watching your every move, you will want to wait at least 12 hours before actually reading it and then marking it as unread, because the person might be watching very closely and see the time you read it, and then notice that the time goes away... thus knowing that you are using this "mark as unread" trick so it doesnt work very well if you have stalkers

Solution is here: I was facing exactly same problem as yours. I have sent a message wrong person and i wanted to delete it. But, if i delete that message then it will empty only my inbox but not recipient inbox. That means recipient will able to see that message.Solution 1: After sending the message report that message as spam. Most of the time it will not receive other person inbox folder.Solution 2: Deactive your facebook account for 3–4 hours.I will suggest follow both process if you have serious issue with that message.
