If I were to message someone who's not my friend on Facebook using the Messenger app, would they get the notifications on their phone even if they don't have messenger?
Previously the message would hop into the Others folder which was usually considered a graveyard. No one ever looks into that even when I went into it for first time I was amazed that I had like 39 messages from others users. Besides Now, I can see that facebook has added a new feature and whenever you receive a new message you will get a notification saying "You have a new message request" so you can easily look into and its your wish to accept or to decline that message.So I would suggest you to send him a message again now and It will surely be seen by him and if he does not reply then stop stalking him. Hoping that would clear your doubts.

I sent a message to someone. Right after I blocked this person. Now by my idiotic greediness I unblocked the person. Can they still view this message and see that it is from me? Also does anyone know why you have to wait 2 days before you can re-block someone? Ps. I don't know if this matters but I have everyone of my Privacy setting to only friends. The first message that you sent was added to Message request list (A list of messages received from unknown user), not in his inbox. Now even after you've friended him, your messages are following the conversation in Message request.If the receiver accept your message request then you'll see the delivery report (blue circled checkmark). Message requests are not visible in Facebook mobile, receiver can view them only in Messenger app.

But they still have to accept I get guys all the time sending me message on messenger, but next to their name there is a check or x mark, unless you hit the check mark you will not see the message. You hit the x mark the message and the name disappears so if the person does not know you or the name most likely they're not going to accept it I know I don't, I'm not going to accept a message from somebody whose name I don't even know in or just messaging me so hope that answers your question

I think they can still message you, but if you block them they won't be able to.
