Using Honey as a facial cleanser/moisturizer?
I've been using natural honey on my face as a moisturizer, I don't have acne or anything but my I do have scars from blemishes and my face feels a little dry. It does feel alot softer after using the honey, I rinse it off just with warm water but i was wondering if the effects will be different if i put on a moisturizing lotion after I wash off the honey?

I suffer from acne prone skin as well. For me, its more genetic as opposed to a diet issue. As for drugstore products, Neutrogena is probably your best bet. They're very well known for their good skin care products at affordable prices. St. Ives is also a very good skin care brand that can be found at your local drugstore. If you're looking for something a little higher quality, check out Sephora and look into the brands "Kate Somerville" or "Clinique". Though they're more expensive, the quality is better and better results will come from using them. As for moisturizer, Cetaphil is the way to go. It can be found at the drugstore, and is great!

Clinique is more expensive than Aveeno. Aveeno's cleansing pads are the best. I really like Aveeno's Positively Radiant Daily cleansing pads for my sensitive combination skin. Clinique is a bit better for moisturizer - IMHO. Just wait to buy it when Clinique is having a gift w/ purchase promo. Some people love Aveeno moisturizers, others hate it.
