Why are you trying to install the Windows 10 preview? Do you not realize it's just a buggy little test program? Furthermore, depending on which build of the Test program you installed, there are 3 versions that expired on 30 APR 15. At any rate, the real version of Win 10 comes out in a couple of months. Right now though it sounds like your laptop is hosed. Get your Win 7 software and reinstall using that.

Hi; Both Seagate and Western Digital have their own drive fitness test pgms. Other brands no doubt have one as well. Use the one for the brand of hard drive you have. Disconnect from internet before running these pgms and also the o/s reinstall if you do reinstall your o/s. If your antivirus & anti-malware pgms are not able to remove the malware and virus's you picked up then a wipe of the hard drive then reinstall of the o/s may be your only option. Windows 7 Service Pack won't install into my PC?
I'm trying to update my windows with the "windows 7 service pack 1 for x-64 based system." but it always says it failed to install, (Error Code FFFFFFFE) I was reading about it online and people said it could be malware, but i installed malwarebytes and took 4 out. Than I went to the store and picked up a McAfee Total Protection CD and ran a "Full Scan." But found nothing. What can I do in order to install this new update? :(

Don’t uninstall it. As the error stated, its either network or resource related. Check how much disk space is available on the box. Has to be at least 30GB.
