HELP IM FAILING 9TH GRADE!?

Your Biology grade clearly denotes your interest in a medical profession. Regarding all of your other grades, sit down for 10 minutes or 20 minutes with a pen and paper and write down everything that is distracting from doing homework, distracting from work in the classroom and such. Also things in your personal life; boys, video games, recreational activities. Then decide where you need to decrease the consumption of your time to concentrate on schoolwork.
The school system these days is not actually set up for education is much as it is just indoctrination of past beliefs and aging information. However you need to discipline yourSELF. Self-discipline little lady that's how its done. Certain subjects can be extremely boring and its difficult to find motivation to study and work on them, but you just gotta power through it and "Focus" your energy and attention on those things AT those moments.

You still have a lot of time to improve. Sometimes if you display to your teachers that you are willing to work hard, they can be a little easier on you. Also, the best thing to do is actually to ask the teachers themselves for extra help - they are usually quite willing. We all have our strengths and our weaknesses. Everything occurs when it does for a specific purpose. You have 3 subjects close to 50%, so you can get them up more safely.
Remove the temptations around you that encourage procrastination so that you will not be tempted to do them.

My Son is failing 9th grade!?

Welcome to today's generations of kids. I'm glad to read that you KNOW he's just being lazy rather than making excuses for him (that seems to be the trend these days). School is for anyone with half a brain and a desire to move out of the house. If he has neither, maybe he's right. Otherwise, he needs to change. Remember the transition from middle school to high school can be a big one for some kids- middle schoolers are used to having a lot of things done for them, and high schoolers have to fend for themselves more. Once he fails this year and has to go through summer school, he may change his tune. My brother certainly did, and he's doing great in college (living on his own in another state and everything). I'd definitely revoke driving privileges completely until his grades are acceptable (and to me, Cs are acceptable-nothing lower). If school's not for him, then neither is getting a successful job. There's no need for a car if you don't have any money to spend. Good luck!

I'm failing 9th Grade math?

I have the same problem, except in Australia. I'm so worried but in the older years i think year 11 or year 10 up, if we have a career choice that doesnt include mathematics we don't have to do it.
My suggestion is talk to your math teacher. I have but he isnt happy with me cos I'm failing.

I need 9th grade math help???

1
a) equation to find slope = (y1 - y2) / (x1 - x2)
slope of PR= (y-4)/(x-3)
slope of QR= (y-4)/(x+3)

b) perpendicular lines have slopes with a product of -1. so multiply their slopes = -1
(y-4)^2 = - (x-3)(x+3)

c) i don't understand the qn, sorry.

2
a)distance formula = sqrt( (x1+x2)^2 +(y1+y2)^2 )

How do you know if you fail 9th grade.?

u cant really fail a grade in high school.
shell move on to tenth grade but it depends on the amount of credits she has.
shell be in tenth grade but be taking ninth grade classes but only the ones she failed.

Can I still go to grade 10 if I failed math and passed all my other subjects?

Talk to your counselor. It really depends. In Georgia, you be classified as 9th grade until you met the credit requirements. In Chatham County, you would stay in a 10th grade homeroom, but be classified as 9th grade.Take the math over. If possible, take it at afternoon/night school, or over the summer. How? Talk to your counselor. It is his/her job to give you the chance to graduate on time. It is your job to make it happen.

I am most likely to fail a math class in the 9th grade. If I plan to study industrial design in the future, will failing affect my course drastically (as in not getting into the college I want)?

Industrial design is competitive at the best schools. They will look at everything. But, why not dig yourself out of your possible failure? Go ask the teacher for help. Do it every day. Ask for additional work, do it and ask for feedback. You will slowly recover. Get a tutor. Get some peers to tutor you. You don't have to fail.Even if it is too much to overcome pointwise, if you show extraordinary effort and improve your performance, your teacher may raise your grade.Passing math now may be painful, but not as painful as a failing grade.Edit: Check out the DAAP camp in Cincinnati. My daughter went for a few years and she was accepted to DAAP. Site: DAAP

I'm 14 years old in 8th grade (elementary school), and I'm failing math. I just don't get it. It seems impossible to me. What should I do to help myself? Exams are in 9th grade.

Your foundation must be weak. If you are in Sec two, you should take out the book of lower levels either Sec One or Primary six /Primary five.Singapore text books have different standards of questions. I highly recommend you to start off with text books instead of assessments books.Try to spend weeks to concentrate on maths only and switch off your mind other subjects during long term holidays. From there, you will gain confidence in this subject. If you do it continuously, you will not feel so tiring to do maths. For questions which you cannot get the answers, you must mark them. Try to do them again a couple of days later. If cannot again mark them until you get the answers one day.REMEMBER, the markings are important. You just need to revise the questions which have second or third trials for exam revision. Because, these questions may not have gone into long term memory.Maths is the only subject which can be improved within months. DON'T GIVE UP!
