Family Member For Homestuck

In homestuck are Rose and Dave siblings?

Rose and Dave are genetically related. Same with John and Jade. Dave's bro is Rose's genetic father, and Rose's mum is both her adoptive and genetic mother. Dave's bro is his adoptive older brother and genetic father and Rose's mum is his genetic mother. John's father is John's adoptive father and genetic half-brother, Jade's grandpa is his genetic father, and Nana (John's grandma) is his genetic mother and adoptive grandmother. Nana is Jade's genetic mother and Jade's grandpa is her genetic father and adoptive grandfather. This was all possible through the magic of ectobiology.
This picture is a "family tree" that kind of explains it all. http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120410204447/mspaintadventures/images/thumb/a/a5/Homestuckfamilytree.png/541px-Homestuckfamilytree.png

Where can you read the webcomic homestuck?

It's not really a comic to read as much as it is an interactive net game that tells a story.

And it starts here:

Is Homestuck satanic?

I am a Homestuck fan and also a Christian.

I saw an article: http://christwire.org/2011/11/the-works-of-evil-andrew-hussies-devil-worship/

About how the writer thinks Andrew Hussie's work is evil.

Some of the points the writer gave were bull gunk, but the writer of the article had some valid point (I don't really know if it's valid or not).

He said that the trolls (the candy corn colored horned aliens from Atlantia) somehow represents the devil and how they help John and his friends create a new universe (and then there are trolls telling the little human party of sburb players that they are god-like and more superior to them since they created the universe John and the other humans now live in) and one of the commandments in the Bible says that 'Thou shalt have no other gods before me.'

So it got me wondering if Homestuck is really satanic or not.
(I really hope it isn't because I really loved that web comic)

What do you guys think? Please prove it wrong or tell me if it's satanic or not.

(Please no stupid answers)

These are the only sites to get official Homestuck merchandise. If you see other products not on those sites, they are fan-made and not allowed to be sold for profit (Although some people will try to sell it regardless of legalities)

Is the web comic Homestuck appropriate for my daughter?

Well, I've seen plenty of kids 14 and under at Homestuck meetups that read it. It depends on how lenient you are. I'm seventeen and I don't think it's too bad, but there is some cursing. No nudity at all, no skimpy outfits, some violence but it's all cartoony. Only blood, no gore, and its drawn very simply like a child's picture. The characters with grey skin and horns aren't demons, they're called "trolls" though they're technically aliens. As a running joke buckets are seen as perverted to them, but there's nothing bad shown or implied. The aliens/trolls are helping these human kids (who are around 13 - 16, which are also how old the aliens/trolls are) play a video game that brings about the end of one universe and creates another. It also involves Nic Cage, Betty Crocker, and other random pop culture figures in ridiculous settings (Betty Crocker Corp takes over the world, etc.). If you're okay with foul language and cartoon violence, it should be fine. It's no worse than what you would find on TV nowadays.

As an added note, I've actually learned a lot from Homestuck, haha. The word choice used is very interesting and I've started using a lot of fancy vocabulary words that I never knew before I started reading it. The story is also VERY complex and well-written, the characters all develop and have deep personalities, and to understand most of the story you need to read what goes on between the lines, since it's mostly told through pesterlogs (or IM chats between the characters).

If you'd like to read it yourself you can on MSPaintAdventures.com. It's really long, over 5000 pages and growing every day so it'll be time consuming, but you can also read some (long) recaps of what's happened so far which I'll add below. I go to a lot of meetups (one this weekend, even) and all the people I know and have met who read the comic are really super friendly. I think it's okay for her to read. Just, cursing is the only issue.

Why Homestuck against Hetalia?

Homestuck and Hetalia have a little feud, and the whole thing is not over. Im guessing its because its both webcomics, (yes, hetalia's originally a webcomic.) and from what i've heard, some fans are bashing each fandoms.

the war between Homestuck and Hetalia started off in Facebook where a Hetalia fan made a page titled, "Homestuck fans should shut up." and after that page was created, it caused an uproar. A homestuck fan responded with hate, and so a fan made a page titled, "We'll shut up if the Hetalia fans shuts up." or something like that. Its like a chain, basically. One fan sends out hate to a fandom, a fan from that certain fandom responds with hate.

It disappoints me how some fans don't get along well. I know someone who likes hetalia before and moved on to homestuck because of the fans. Personally, im a fan of both webcomics and the Hetalia anime too, and both of them are really amazing.

Well i guess all fandoms has its flaws. And its impossible to not see a stupid fan in a fandom.

Hetalia's all over homestuck. a lot of homestuck fans like hetalia too, so i think you wont feel left out. Actually, hetalia made me read homestuck due to its popularity. Im pretty sure it won't change your views, just try it out and you might actually like it!

Im a proud hetastuck. :) i love Homestuck and Hetalia, and i support Hussieruya~.

Why is does the Homestuck fandom get so much hate?

I'm a Hetalian (I just started reading Homestuck so I can't say I'm in that fandom yet) and something I've noticed about Hetalians is that they are mostly really loud and hyper people. A lot of them are also young. I've found only 2 other people who were Hetalians that weren't 15 years old and younger.

I was once "kidnapped" by some Hetalians at a con, but I thought it was fun and that they were nice, happy people. My friend on the other hand was angry and shocked that they would do that to me. (I was wearing a Hetalia shirt and they wanted me to come hang out with them)

Hetalians and Homestuck seem to be pretty random too. That turns a lot of people off, but I find it fun. They also invade peoples posts on tumblr.

From what people on tumblr say Homestuck is a "Spoiled" fandom because Hussie actually occasionally listens to their input apparently. I think this makes a lot of Homestucks self righteous that and the fact that they raise 2 million dollars in like a week or something.

Hetalians and Homestucks seem to relate almost everything around them to their fandom and people don't like that. This one I don't really get because my Whovian friends relate almost everything to Doctor Who they even go so far as to say "Oh my Doctor" instead of OMG

Oh and some Homestucks can be pretty mean. I told this girl I was reading Homestuck and she got all excited but then I told her how I was only in like Act 1 and I basically didn't exist to her anymore.

I'm also kind of jealous by how big the Homestuck fandom is. I have so much trouble finding Hetalians.

I completely don't understand the MLP fandom so I'm not going to comment on their behalf.

Homestuck auspice quadrant?

The ashen quadrant mediates for the caliginous quadrant. In other words, the Auspitice mediates for the two Kismesis'. This means that he/she makes sure the two don't kill each other (when the Imperial Drones come around you best have someone to fill that pail), that they don't develop a caliginous quadrant with another troll and to make sure they don't screw up their other quadrants because of their kismesitude.

I am worried about my daughter getting so into this Homestuck thing?

Chuck all I can say is you have a choice of whatever parenting style you want, especially in this digital age but nothing is without cause and effect.

As a Homestuck fan, if the content of Homestuck bothers you, a purely fictional drawn comic hosted on the freedom of language medium that is the internet, I suggest, until she is of an age you deem appropriate, cancelling your Internet and cable services or pony up the cash and sacrificing your personal options of entertainment for effective child blocks. Supervise any and all of your daughters outings and parties with friends, monitoring what they say and watch. Heck even attach a recording device on her while she is at school and censor the history books videos and pictures.

Of course you don't have the time to sacrifice to do all this. What I'm saying is today the best and the worst of the world is available to see by anyone any age with a spark of curiosity and can click a mouse. Shielding children and teens from any and all things will only rise their curiosity and tendency to rebel and add more resentment and distance in your parent-child relationship.

You have a choice, you can stick to the old way of parenting shield the child as much as you can in a world were access to information, media and influence can fit in your pocket.

Or you can adjust, learn, understand and regulate and this takes communication not "here is what you will do without question" but an equal exchange of words between the two of you, Why does your daughter like this? Can my child discern reality from fantasy? Are they imitating inappropriate behavior from this? Does she know enough of public decorum and maturity to not curse like a sailor in public or in the home? What if I fully read/watch/play this with my child to try to see what is the appeal and guide him/her away from negative messages?

By the way, the kids with gray skin and horns are aliens not demons.
Please take a tour of at least a wiki page before you sling ignorance.
