How can I start dressing more fashionable now that I’m 40? I’ve always worn baggy harem pants or leggings.

If you wanna be more fashionable, you should start wearing things that are flattering and on-trend, without having to lose your comfort. For example: Wide-leg pants are becoming more trendy and this should be easy for you to adopt, since you are already comfortable with baggy pants. You can always pair wide leg pants with a nice fitted blouse for a smart-casual look.Since you wear leggings often, I assume it may be easier for you to switch to more fitted jeans etc instead. You can pair fitted jeans with near enough anything and it will usually look good. The rule of thumb with these things is to always have something loose and something tight. So when you’re wearing baggy pants/ sweaters you can wear a fitted tshirt/ body top to go with. Or if you’re wearing leggings/ fitted jeans you can wear a baggy sweater to go with. Here are a few common trends amongst trendy people:Their clothing fits right: e.g it’s not too tight nor is it too baggy, get things tailored to your size or just make sure your sizing is accurate.Clothing is not just one or the other: e.g. you can be smart-casual with a nice blazer thrown over a casual tshirt and jeans with a trainer combo.Honestly the best advice is to google what kind of look you wanna go for. So I’m assuming you want to look like a fashionable 40 year old, so just google fashionable 40 year old for some quick inspiration.I’m in no way shape or form an expert, I just think fashion is something fun and that a person can always enjoy the way they present themselves which is honestly the most important thing.Either way, good luck!

If I have leggings with Adidas logo on it, and then a hoodie with Nike logo on it at the same time - is the fashion community okay with it?

Here are three items I often wear together — a pair of Adidas leggings, a New York Yankees baseball cap, and a pair of New Balance walking shoes.Note that all THREE of these items have logos on them.I have read online that generally, wearing only one item with a logo on it should suffice. But this was just the opinion of the writer (or the website itself) and certainly it’s NOT a rule you need to live by. It’s not a rule that I myself live by.Check out this outfit as another example:This is about as big of a logo as I’ve ever seen.At least where I live, the “fashion community” isn’t particularly outspoken. The main thing, in my opinion, isn’t how many logos you are wearing but how you are wearing them.If your overall outfit works as a whole, then wearing two logos could make you look trendy, in my opinion. If you’re feeling self-conscious though, then simply wear a different hoodie. But don’t do it because you have to, but rather because you want to.And always keep in mind that there’s an awful lot of disagreement even within the fashion community itself. The bottom line is to wear whatever you’re comfortable wearing. The only other piece of advice I would offer is to make sure your clothes are clean - nobody in ANY community would be okay if things were otherwise.
