Father Likes Golf Over Me

What should I gift my father?

Dads are such a weird bunch to shop for because they are such dads and say “I don’t want anything.” They walk around with their hands on their hips and survey their property to access where the next project will take place. It’s a challenge to find something that they never knew they wanted before now.I am here today to change all of that. See the list below:Send him a Man Crate of your choosing. Nobody needs a pinata full of beef jerky but they will enjoy it.Shark Bookends because you really want his book collection to impress/intimidate everyone else. The Chamberlain MyQ Garage door opener because what dad doesn’t want to be able to monitor the safety of his tool collection from the comfort of the toilet?Binoculars for when he needs to survey his property from his porch and feel cool about it. Who knows, maybe he will become the next It-Bird watcher that the internet goes crazy for.A drone because every dad is really just a little boy that thinks new toys are SO MUCH FUN. His real-life creeping skills will finally be on par with your mom’s social media creeping skills after you buy him this nifty present.Socks and ties because he already knows you will fall back on this option for lack of creativity so he never buys them for himself.Happy gifting!

Father Inlaw i think dosent like me...?

You need to be happy with yourself and accept yourself and the differences between the two of you are just material differences - you both are just human beings, nothing more, nothing less. If you recognize that his mansion does not ensure him a place in heaven any more than your not having a mansion ensures you a place in heaven maybe you will stop being intimidated by him. Find a common ground with him - does he like to fish, go fishing with him, does he like to golf, go golfing with him. The next time you see him remember that he is no more important to Jesus and God than you are and maybe that will help you to feel less intimidated by him and get your bearings around him. Good luck and God Bless.

Is it fair for my parents to force me to play golf?

Offer them an alternative. I doubt they're forcing you to play golf as some cruel and unusual punishment, they probably want to help you develop varied interests.

If there's a sport you'd rather play, offer it up as another option. Otherwise.. play the golf. It won't kill you.

Why won't my dad take me golfing?!!!?

I'm so sad! Ever since i was 6 i loved golf but i had never been on a course before, so my dad promised he'd take me that summer, but never did. No matter how much i begged, or how good i behaved, he would never take me. it was always like this. He'd always come up with the dummest excuses not to go: Oh, it's too hot today, it's to cold, i'm tired, or we'll see, and then no. my uncle and i have tried to make plans many times but it just never worked out because, he works a full time job, and then a cleaning buisiness at night. None of my friends like golf so i can't go with them either. As this kept going on and on and on, i kept taking lessons for another 7 years. I'm almost 14 now and i can hit a golf ball 225 yards straight with my driver at the driving range. I still haven't been on a golf course either. I just had a huge fight with my dad an hour ago and he told me to go in the house. i said no and tried to climb a tree to get away from him, but he grabbed my foot and i fell out of it. then he said that he is never going to take me golfing. He treats me like i'm not even his kid sometimes. my sister's favorite sport is basket ball and my dad takes her to celtics games all the time and plays it with her. I'm so mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Why won't my dad take me f'n golfing?????????????????????????????????...

How do I ask my girlfriend's father for permission to marry her?

I'm certain her father likes me, he always has me over for family bbqs and I always help him with the car hes building, but I wanted to do it the right way and ask him for permission to marry his daughter? We've been together for almost three years so it is something serious and I've realized I want to marry her. How can I go about this (feeling a bit nervous to)? Thanks.

She wants me to enjoy it but doesn't understand that I never will it's stresses me out I need advice or ways to get through it! Thanks

My parents are taking me to play golf, I hate golf. How do I get out of this?

Maybe your parents just want you to be more active. do you like any other sports? Soccer, basketball, football? Tell them that you like other sports. There is no point of picking up a new sport if you don't enjoy it. But let me tell you this, these are some benefits of playing golf:
- When you are passionate about something, it could be a future career.
- Golf teach you to control your emotion. If you are feeling angry, you can't do well in golf.
- Golf teaches you between eye and hand coordination. If you can hit a golf ball with a golf club consistently, your body has a good coordination.
- Golf is all about techniques. All sports require technique like how to shoot a basketball properly. But in golf, it's more than that. Good swing mechanics lead to better score and longer distance.
- I think golf is the only sport where you can have a conversation with your playing partner while you are playing with them. In basketball, how can you have a chat with your teammates during a game? Not possible right?
- I don't know where you live. But America is the best place to play golf. The green fee is lower than they have in other countries. The course condition is superb. You are living in paradise if you love golf.
- Golf is not a useless crap. If people hate it, nobody will pick up the game. It's for everybody from kids to seniors. Don't think it's for older men. It's just a sport like any other sports, hockey, soccer, basketball, etc.
