Features And Advancement Of Window 95

Windows 7 features?????????/?

No, those aren't the jump lists.

Those are the taskbar previews, aka taskbar thumbnail previews.

Windows 7 features and how to use them?

Windows 7 has something called Windows Media Center. You can reach it by clicking on the start button and typing in "media center" and believe that's where you can watch TV(i don't really use my computers for this reason so :P) as for the wireless screen to TV I have no clue. Windows 7 also has something called Speech Recognition which allows you to plug a mic into your computer and pretty much "dictate" (as the they call it) your computer and tell it what to do, what to open, what to type, and it's 10x better then the one that came with Vista and works really well (search Speech in the start menu to find it just like media center [yea i'm lazy XP]). Windows 7 also lets you make your desktop a slideshow (but you probably already knew this) right click on your desktop, go to personalize, pick a theme you like, then on the bottom you should see something like pictures or something, click on that and find the folder you want from the drop down and pick which pictures you want to be displayed by RANDOM on your desktop screen. Also aero is really nice to but that you probably already have enabled, it's the transparency and stuff. There are many more features I can't think of at the time so search around a bit and you should find most of them, good luck!!

What are the features of windows 95?

Windows95 Special Features

Windows95 offers a plethora of new and improved features. Many features from previous versions of Windows have been updated and many new ones have been added. The first major feature of Windows95 is the use of an actual desktop along with the new "START" button and Task Bar. These features allow the user to quickly organize his system with the click of a button. Along with the new Desktop, Microsoft has introduced a "Recycle Bin," which acts as a temporary holding space for deleted files. The Bin is very useful for saving files from accidental destruction. In this newest version of Windows, the File and Program managers have been modified in order to make them both more efficient and user friendly.

Along with simple visual enhancements, Windows95 also sports many new technical features. One of the most significant being the "Plug and Play" hardware compatibility. Now, Windows is able to locate new hardware and automatically installs the proper drivers. All the user has to do is plug in the hardware and Windows95 automatically does the rest. Along with "Plug and Play" another new feature is the new 32-bit Preemptive Multitasking ability of Windows95. Multiple programs can be run effortlessly without any major problems. Not only can Windows95 run multiple programs at once, it can also run both 16-bit and 32-bit applications without a second thought. In being able to do this, Windows95 is able to run both the old Windows 3.xx and the new Windows95/NT 32-bit software.

Windows95 is also multimedia and Internet friendly. Some features include: built in dial-up networking for the Internet, super fast video performance, improved sound and video performance, and the new Microsoft Exchange electronic communication abilities. With all these new built in features, Windows95 is definitely a powerhouse.

There are lots of new features of Windows 10, as well as some significant upgrades and a number of things that have just been plain removed. Here are just a few features worth mentioning:Windows 10 brings back the desktop and Start button, which some people love and others find quite irritating - luckily there are a bunch of customisation options to tweak these settings. Another notable feature of Windows 10 is Cortana, a voice-activated, personal digital assistant built into the operating system. Cortana can make your life a little easier by finding files, reminding you of appointments and loads more. One thing that Windows 10 does very well is adapt to whichever device you're using. So if you're on a PC it opens to show you the traditional desktop, taskbar, and Start button. If you're on a tablet it presents the full-screen Start menu instead. And finally, it's free! If your computer runs Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, Microsoft offers Windows 10 as a free upgrade that installs itself on your computer over the Internet.ReferencesWhat’s New in Windows 10?

At home I have a Gateway Solo 9300ve.When I first got it, it was running Windows 2000 Professional SP4.Windows 2000 layout wise is amazing. The interface is nice to use and it looks pretty good. Also, internet wise it’s not too bad.The downside it the speed. My computer took about 7 minutes to boot up which is a big difference to the 39 seconds it takes since I’ve upgraded it to Windows XP Professional SP3.It also runs slow and takes up a lot of memory. For instance on Windows 2000 I could open Photoshop, Word 2002, and a file explorer window, which would make it run extremely slow and come up with a overload error. On Windows XP I could do the same and not notice any real difference.Short version is: Windows 2000 is probably my favorite operating system layout wise but is slow.

What are some cool features of Windows 7?

Hi,

I'm getting a new laptop tomorrow or Tuesday, most likely a Gateway with Windows 7 Home Premium (I think that's what it's called) pre-installed.

My old laptop (the one I'm using now) is Windows Vista Home Premium, and I really havn't noticed anything. Basically, I told my dad this when we were thinking of laptops- I want a fast laptop with Microsoft Office, and Internet. That's really all I need since I'm just a high school student, no games are necessary. Only big program I would have is Windows MSN Messenger.

So I really want to utilize Windows 7- what are some cool things about it? From the commercial the "snap" feature looks awesome, I can watch youtube or movies while talking on facebook haha.

Anyways, Thanks!!!
