Fedex Ground Delivery Mistake

How do FedEx Ground and Home Delivery differ?

As stated in the previous answer, Ground delivers (mostly) to businesses, while Home Delivery delivers (mostly) to residences. However, we operate out of the same facility and either can deliver packages for the other division. This is especially true of HD routes in rural locations. Although it is an HD route, it also serves the few businesses in that territory, as it wouldn’t be cost-effective to run a Ground delivery route to cover those few businesses in a remote location. Likewise, there night be a few residential deliveries along a Ground route, and those packages can be delivered by the Ground driver. Let me add that Ground runs Monday thru Friday, while HD runs Tuesday thru Saturday, thus providing 6 days a week of coverage. During ‘peak’ (Thanksgiving thru Christmas), both divisions run Monday thru Saturday.

What is FedEx home delivery?

It is the residential delivery arm of FedEx Ground.  In urban and suburban areas, FedEx Ground handles business deliveries while Home Delivery delivers ground packages to residences. In rural areas the Ground driver may make all deliveries do to the sparseness of the delivery points. Ground and Home Delivery drivers work out of the same terminal and their packages travel through the same system.

Can I sue FedEx for misdelivery?

I mailed confidental letter for my clearence via FedEx and it was misdelivered. The information contains ALL of my sensitive information for the last 10 years. FedEX delivered it to the wrong city and state. How would I go about filing a law suit against them? I have fraud alert on my credit profile and I was notified that someone has tried opening a loan under my name, I believe it is directly related to FedEx mishandling my information

Fedex deliver after 9pm?

Hello. A couple things I ordered and shipped through Fedex were suppose to get here yesterday. Last night I kept refreshing the page that had the items saying out for deliver. Then it said "delivered", and that it was left on the porch. Guess he didnt even knock because I didnt hear it. Said it was delivered at 9:27 PM. I checked the porch at like 9:40ish, and there was nothing there, didnt even hear the truck pull up. I heard some people say they dont deliver to residential people after 9pm, so maybe my stuff is still on the truck and going to be delivered another day? Or do you think since it was dark they brought it to another house? They were some big boxes, and I doubt very highly some one stole them. Or that they were even brought to this house. So I was curious is there any way that it could still be on the truck and the marked as "delivered" was a mistake since they dont deliver after 9pm? And what if there on a run and it passes 9pm, will they automatically go back or can they actually deliver after 9pm? Any help/information will be greatfully appreciated.

Can I change my delivery address after a FedEx package has been shipped?

Andrew Mariano’s answer is spot on, the shipper can contact Fed Ex and change the delivery address. This can be done in multiple ways, in person at a Fed Ex location, on the phone. or on line. all will require you send or turn in signed paperwork authorizing the change. If that isn’t possible Fed Ex will attempt to deliver. When that fails they will leave paperwork on the door and the recipient can then either note the new address on the form that the driver will pick up on the re-delivery attempt the next day. You can also contact them on line and input the data from the delivery notice left on the door to redirect the package.

Fedex complaint about driver?

they are better then UPs though...call 1-800 gofedex.
remember, they have to deal with idiots all day long, plus handle traffic.

Fed-ex package is out for delivery, IN THE WRONG CITY?

Last wednesday I ordered a muzzle loader from muzzle-loaders.com, they did their part and shipped it out via fed-ex ground within 24 hours. It slowly crept its way from Oregon to Iowa, and it was processed in the Grimes facility this morning. It says it is out for delivery in Grimes, but I live in Ames, a city about 30 minutes away. Is there a distribution center in Grimes or something? Or was this a mistake on Fed-ex's part? Wondering if I should stay home today to sign for it, or go about my business. Thanks!

How much are Fedex Ground drivers paid per package to deliver and pick up?

Again, each contracted route varies. There are certain factors that provide the contractors settlement. Mileage, distance from terminal, projected volume, weight of package, etc. If you are interested in a route, ask contractors in your local terminal. They would be the best source for telling you about the business.

FedEx Shipping, "No scheduled delivery date available at this time"?

So last Monday(6/06/2016) I ordered something online and my order has been taking a really long time. I'm using standard ground shipping for FedEx and the tracker said that it would arrive on Saturday (6/11/2016). Although I don't believe they even deliver on Saturdays for standard ground shipping so I thought, "okay it should come on Monday then", but it hasn't arrived. The tracker says that the item is in transit in my local FedEx destination facility for the past 3 days now. It's almost midnight and the tracker has not updated at all and isn't even saying an estimated date and is instead saying "No scheduled delivery date available at this time". Should I expect the package to arrive tomorrow still or did FedEx possibly make any sort of mistake?

I by accidently put a fedex groung package into fedex express dropbox!?

I work at a FexEx ship center, and nearly everyday when our Express driver comes in, he brings us ground packages that people left in the express drop-boxes.
So, it will be sent....but because air drivers pick up most drop boxes after the cut-off for ground, it is more than likely that your package will go out the next day.

And, remember, FedEx ground doesn't pick up on Saturdays.
