Feel Like I Ruined Me Plan To Eat Healthy

I've lost over 10 pounds, eating very healthy, will one cupcake ruin me(intelligent answers only)?

No, it won't. As far as you eat healthy most of the time you will still have good results. It's kinda silly to think that one tiny cake could ruin weeks or even days of eating healthy. It's like filling up a glass what have a leak, ya know... as far as you actually fill in more than gets out you will still get it full.

In fact, cheat meals are only good for you. You should have one cheat meal every week. That will keep your motivation going and cos you will know that you do not say goodbye to bad food forever. That will decrease the possibility to pig out and you will also be able to enjoy it more and don't feel bad about it cos you know it's not "fail meal" but scheduled part of your diet...

What should I do about my mother who keeps ruining my diet plans?

My mother knows I am struggling with my weight, and I have been trying to diet for about six months but I find that she always seems to undermine my chances of success. She is pretty overweight now herself and is always talking about starting and maintaining a proper diet, but as soon as we launch into a mutual decision to start one, she bails out on the first or second day by buying something like cookies, cake or curry. There is always an excuse like buying a box of cookies for a visitor coming for a cup of tea, knowing the visitor will only have one or two leaving the rest of the box behind once they leave - which usually leds us both to resign outselves to starting the diet again he next day and gorging ourselves. Well, a week into MY DIET, today, my mum came back to the house with rice, nan bread, microwave curry and raisin cake, and invited me to eat it with her. I think she was surprised that I said I am not eating any of it. I'm trying not to be tempted but it makes me mad that she is trying to ruin my chances of succeeding because she is not serious herself about loosing weight. Does anyone have similar experience like mine? Is there anything I should do or say? Is it possible for me to succeed knowing that the person I live with seems at some level to want me to fail? Thanks!

I'm on a diet and I ate chips. I feel so guilty I can't and the bad thing is that I ate yesterday again. What should I do ? Am I going to gain weight?

You feel guilty because you had chips when on a diet. If it makes you feel any better i’ll tell you a very logical and practical thing that has a lot to do with your guilt that’s building inside.Just like one low calorie meal won’t make you slim overnight, the same way one pack of chips ain’t going to make you gain weight. It’s okay you slipped. Everyone does. But just don’t make a habit out of it. Get back on your diet and start afresh.

Will eating an unhealthy meal one time make you gain weight?

Not enough that you'd notice. What is an unhealthy meal? One with excess calories? One with more sugar than anything else?Your body doesn't have a 24h diet schedule like you do. Every meal is processed at the speed it can handle. Sugar gets processed quickly and fats and proteins get processed less quickly.Having a meal high in simple sugar will make your blood sugar rise quickly and drop quickly. This energy, if not going into exertion straight away will be stored as fat in the liver and around your body.Having too many calories from any type of food will have a similar effect, but at what point in time is many calories too many calories? We use a 24hour system in our diet plans. And it tends to work quite well because it fits around our active schedule. After sleeping, we have empty stomachs and dehydration. If you haven't eaten in days, then you'll also have low blood sugar and dehydration.Throughout the day, just by standing up, you are burning calories - so you need to replace them. Knowing that it takes at least 6 hours and up to 4 days to digest food (depending on your food type and digestion ability), what you eat and when you eat it has a very large window. You can replace those calories already lost as you progress in the day, or you can have your daily recommended calorie intake in one sitting. It really doesn't change anything other than how you feel while stuffing your face in one go and how quickly you want to finish the meal.So yes and no. One high calorie meal will make you feel heavier because you've ingested that weight in food. But no, that one meal won't make you gain noticeable weight as body fat overnight. Over-eating in general and in excess sugar will make you put on weight over time.

HELP! My binge eating disorder is ruining my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Okay I have a binge eating disorder and I am overweight. I am trying really hard to stick to this new diet that really seems to be working. I exercise 5 days a week at the gym or dance-cardio classes and I am allowed to eat whatever I want but smaller portions of it. This week I did really well! I choose healthier items and actually wanted to eat them! However, for any of you reading this that are bingers you know that one bad day can cancel out an entire week of dieting. I had a bad day last night and ate 2 little bags of doritos, a chocolate covered granola bar, 3 Kool-Aid pouches, 6 cookies with cream cheese, a Babe Ruth bar, and an entire bag of Goldfish crackers and this was all at 2o'clock in the morning! I hate binging so much but I don't know how to stop it! Does anyone have any tips that could help me control my disorder?! Please I am desperate!!

Did I ruin my strict diet by eating a meal of fried chicken at a fast food restaurant? I feel guilty and regret doing it. How Can I undo the damage?

This question makes me sad. You’ve come under the influence of some prissy orthorexic types who have convinced you that eating the “wrong” food once can “ruin” a diet.Balderdash. The fried chicken did not hurt you a bit. In any way.The only thing you’re doing wrong is being on a weight loss diet in the first place. Don’t do that. See The best weight loss diet. And please relax and enjoy your food. There are no unhealthy foods. What you eat today doesn’t matter. What you eat this month does. Just eat a variety of foods, mostly plants, not too much or too little. Don’t obsess about special diets. And if anybody or anything ever tries to make you feel guilty about something you ate, get that person or thing out of your life.

How can I make a diet plan for myself after suffering from anorexia/ruined metabolism?

Best to see a doctor to be sure. You want to get this as right as you can so that it actually helps you and so that you can stick to it.one possible tip: If you issues with not being able to stand the feeling of eating normal amounts I’d say eat healthy nutritious things that have high calorie to size ratio, that are not as filling for what you get out of them. More nutrition, feeling of eating less than other things, may help you adjust. Trick your body into getting more while thinking you still are eating little like you used to. Nuts would be a good example of this. I like to mix almonds, raisins, and sunflower seeds. Lots of good vitamins, iron, bit of calcium, and a few other things. But I never feel like I’m eating much by having normal serving sizes of them. But again, see a doctor. See how much you need to increase your intake by to be safe, and what you can do to help your metabolism eventually re-adjust as much as it can.
