Feeling Dreamy - Is This Correct

Dreamy feeling after smoking weed?

First off, the weed wasn't screwing with you, you were just full of anxiety. you had a bad trip, you were scared, ect. i guarantee you weed is perfectly fine. hear me out before you close me out, because i may be able to help you, just sit down, and listen.
what does weed do? weed gives you a simple, safe, high. thats it. if you do decide to do it again, you need to do exactly this.
1. DONT WORRY, NO ANXIETY. you gotta be in a safe environment where your not hiding, you should be with a good friend who won't screw with you.
2. Do it at night. After you get high, and experience the high, go to bed. weed is one of the best things to help you sleep, stay calm, and chill.
3. Have fun with it. put on some of your favorite "chill" music. have your fav food. laugh, be happy.
4. I felt disconnected after my first time too, why? well because i felt i was "dirty" truth is, there is nothing wrong feeling this way. until you get accustomed to it, you will feel like this quite a bit. but you know what, i don't feel dirty anymore. who cares if people know you do it? most people try it at least once. anyway, if you choose to give it another shot, remember my steps, and also, you shouldn't let weed conflict with your the important parts of your life. you should only really do it if you have no work and no priorities, and weekends (if you have no work on the weekends you gotta do, be smart with it)
good luck.

Feeling dreamy after smoking weed?

(Sorry it's so long. I'm going into detail so you can point out what I had. Please read the whole thing and answer it. Thanks!)I smoked weed yesterday. A lot. Everything was fine. I got high, and started to play trombone in this band. We we're all high. After a couple of songs, we went out to smoke some more. We had 2 bowls going around. We all got even higher. Then, the band members left, and my friend and I went inside to watch this show called China, IL. After about 15 mins, we decided to smoke even more weed. We filled on small bowl, and then a regular sized bowl. It started out nice, but then I started freaking out, saying I had to go inside. After, I started laughing, and I thought it was just me being high, saying stupid ****. But then, I stopped laughing, and said it again. I felt like I was dreaming. I thought I overdosed and was going to die. I don't remember what happened in his house after that moment (everything happened in his house, btw.) I` asked my dad to come pick me up, and keep in mind he doesn't know I smoke so I couldn't tell him anything. I tried to act normal (I hope I did.) He reminded me that we had to go to my schools football game. The car ride there, i was tripping out. I started feeling safe, like I could do anything, and not get hurt. I knew that wasn't the case. I lost touch with reality and my body felt numb. "I'm dreaming" I thought to myself. I got scared and tried to snap out of it. It was really cold at the game, which made it 20x worse. I walked away from my dad, and told him I was going to call my mom. While I was doing that, I saw my friend from elementary school. Worst feeling ever, because I thought for sure I was dreaming. We talked for about 5 minutes and I thought I was going to pass out! I went to the bathroom, and the walk there felt really bad. I thought I was going to throw up. I felt like I was being controlled by a doll. I tried to shake it off and deal with it. I became better and then got worse and it continued to do that. After the game was over we walked back to the car. My iPod got stolen and everything was all around the car. It felt really awkward, don't ask me why. On the way home, we got Taco Bell and then I went to sleep. Nothing happened in my sleep, no scary dream or anything. I woke up and I felt normal. I was reconnected with the world. Sorry this is really long. I just want to know what this was. Please reply! Thanks

Is "are You Feeling happy ? " grammitcally correct ?

I am not as good in grammer but as i know it is correct.

I feel like I'm dreaming but I'm awake?

This is not going to make any sense whatsoever but I'll try my best. So basically for the past 2 months or maybe month and a half I've been feeling really strange. It basically feels like I'm dreaming but I know I'm awake it's just everything seems kind of foggy or it just feels like I can't see everything clearly?? It scares me to death and I get this reoccurring fear that I'm not actually awake but when I wake up in the morning I remember my dreams and can tell I'm actually awake. At first I just brushed it off because when this started I had been reading a lot of creepypastas and I get scared REALLY easily and thought it was probably just because I was afraid all the time but now I'm not scared of them anymore and I still feel the same and it's worse when I'm thinking about it like right now lol oooppps but yeah...also I don't want to talk to my mom about it because whenever I tell her something she says I'm overreacting..also I am getting enough sleep and no I'm not a pot head.

Why do I feel like I'm in a dream?

What you describe is called “derealization”. It seems to happen to about 5% of the people in the course of their life, and is a dissociative symptom that often indicates a dysfunction in the temporal occipital region of the brain. It can have many possible underlying causes, including lack of sleep, side-effects of medication and drugs, epilepsy, schizophrenia, etc. The experience often passes on its own after a short time, but you describe that you have had it for days, and that it is getting worse.I would recommend to see a neurologist and, depending on the circumstances, get an MRI of your brain done, too. If there are no obvious organic causes, treatment is usually cognitive-behavioral or psychodynamic therapy (to cope with stress and situations in your life that can bring on the condition, and to get in control of the symptoms) and often medication. The same neurotransmitters that are responsible for your fatigue and anxiety are likely involved in the derealization, and many psychiatrists will recommend treatment with Prozac or clonazepam.I hope you feel better soon!By the way, we can never “really” experience reality. Instead, our brain always creates a dream, but during waking, this dream is anchored in and constrained by sensory input. The more your brain believes that its dream captures the structure of the sensory input, the more it marks the dream as “real”. In your current state, this marking does not work properly, so the same things that would normally appear as things in an objective reality to you may now look somewhat distant, or foggy, or like through a strange reflection, or just like ideas. (The good thing is that you are aware of that, and that your perceptions of the world are not mixed with true hallucinations or wild ideations, so you can act coherently.)

What are some adjectives that give a hammocky, dreamy feeling?

contented, contentment
satisfaction

Slumbering | Define Slumbering at Dictionary.com
verb (used without object)
1. to sleep, especially lightly; doze; drowse.
2. to be in a state of inactivity, negligence, quiescence, or calm.

catnap
doze
nap
shuteye
slumber party

"Contentment" seems realistically defined as "enjoyment of whatever may be desired". That definition is realistic because the more contented an individual or community becomes the less extreme so more acceptable their desires will be. Contentment is an intuitive natural concept, whereas "peace" is a civil and so non-intuitive concept dependent on restriction, whereas contentment was and is self sustaining.

I felt so contented that I had to lie down on a hammock to sense the satisfaction.

What are some books I can read when feeling lonely, dreamy, and mind-expanding?

That's a pretty unusual set of criteria you've asked contributors on Quora to fulfil. Intriguing as they are in a group, normally I would have felt obliged to pass by without answering your question simply because I couldn't think of  any book I've read which would stand as a reasonable candidate for that 'job description.' However, as luck would have it, I happen to be reading a novel right at this moment which is unlike anything I have ever read before. And it's an absolute gem. In fact, I only came across it because a number of contributors here on Quora, independently recommended it in a number of responses to completely different questions.  I think it may well just fit your desired characteristics perfectly. It's called, "The Garden of Evening Mist" by Tan Twan Eng. I'll copy a brief review from Amazon below just to entice you further into that lonely, dreamy and mind-expanding world he creates in this magical novel : * REVIEW :"I found this second novel by Tan Twan Eng both absorbing and extraordinarily enriching. His hero is a woman. He writes in the first person singular and is obviously very much in touch with the female aspect of his psyche which adds to the authenticity of his plot.I loved his first novel, 'The Gift of Rain,' and this one has an even greater profundity. I like especially the way in which he connects the past memories of his hero, Judge Teoh Yun Ling, with her present existence. The real subject of the story is a Japanese Gardener, Nakamura Aritomo. He had once been the gardener of the Emperor of Japan. Yun Ling's story is intimately connected with Aritomo and the unique relationship between the two. There are several interesting characters and each plays a vital part in the unfolding of the story. On the very first page Tan Twan Eng writes,- "Thirty-six years after that morning, I hear his voice again, hollow and resonant. Memories I had locked away began to break free, like shards of ice fracturing off an arctic shelf. In sleep these broken floes drift towards the morning light of remembrance."That's a marvellous paragraph and immediately hooked me on the story. Its a beautiful book full of wonderful and moving images as well as being an intriguing read."  .

Why do I feel as if I'm in a dream?

I can relate to this. I have felt this feeling many times before. And although I cannot answer scientifically I’ll give you my best answer. My guess is that you have realized that there is more to life than phones, games, and staring down at a screen for hours. You’ve probably noticed how repetitive your life is. (Waking up, eating breakfast, gettzing dressed, brushing your hair, your teeth, etc).Or you’ve noticed how amazing your life is (the nature, the people, the animals, the sky, space, the air we breathe in and out). And you’ve begun to believe that your life as you know it is surreal. So surreal you feel like you’re never awoke.Food for thought: do you believe you have a purpose on this earth; a reason as to why you witness amazing wonders each day; living, breathing air and life. If you do what do you do with that? Do you continue to think that you’re life is a dream for which you’ll never awake from? Or do you except the fact that there is reason for your exsistence? When will you wake up and accept it? If you have already noticed that then I would say that it is okay for you to feel that way about life. I mean, after all dreams are suppose to resemble and sort through the memories of life. Dreams can be vivid and real but so is life. Except dreams themselves aren’t real; (they have happened through your brain) but you’re not actually physically going through the motions in a dream. Overall I think it’s normal to feel that way. I believe there are parts in everyone’s life when they feel the way you do. Hopes this helps; I’m not an expert, but this is my philosophy.
