Feels Like Somethings In My Eye Really Hurts

Why do I feel something crawling into my eye?

You should get this sensation checked out by an ophthalmologist.I had this sensation. It really felt like some kind of worm was exploring my eyeball and occasionally seemed to be sticking its head into the gap between the two lids. It turned out that this was a symptom of Zoster AKA shingles. There are other possibilities, but only your eye doctor can tell for sure. If you are getting initial symptoms of shingles it will be well worth your time in avoiding pain to get started with medications as soon as appropriate. I’m a patient not a doctor, so don’t take my words for professional advice. I’m just telling you what happened to me.

Feels like something in my eye, nothing there?

It feels like there is something in my eye such as an eyelash or something like that but there is nothing there. I was just sitting in class and it appeared, my teacher sent me to the nurse and she out eye drops in it and I have washed it out and everything but the pain is not going away. It's like a scratching and only happens when I blink. What do you think it is? And should I go to the doctors? And advice?

Why does our eye cavity hurt when we eat/drink something really cold?

Every time i take off my contacts, my eye feels like there's something in it &i can't get it out. HELP?

Sounds like the irritation is on the insides of your eyelids. When you blink, the irritated part rubs the surface of your eye, causing that feeling. Give your eyes a few days to a week of rest from the contacts.

Aspirin might also help reduce any inflammation on the inside of your lids, but it's more for your relief - it's not a substitute for giving your eyes a rest from the contacts.

If your contacts are disposable, after the rest, put in a new pair. If not, thoroughly clean and sterilize them and the case before using them again.

It feels like something's in my inner tear duct?

Believe it or not, this has happened to me several times. The pain does go away after a few hours. It's like maybe you have rubbed it raw in that spot, and when the salt in your tears touches it, it makes it hurt. You feel like there is something there, but you cannot find anything there.
Yes, it's aggravating, but if you keep rubbing it , it makes it worse.

The best thing you can do is put some eye salve in your eye and then try not to touch it. If you think you might rub it, just hold your eye shut with your finger, but don't rub. The salve helps to lubricate your eye. Plain eye drops don't work for this. You need something that lubricates.

When you remove your makeup in the future, try using plenty of liquid soap in a wash cloth, and keep your eyes lightly closed so they don't burn.

Also check the makeup brand you are using. You may be sensitive to that brand. I am sensitive to Maybelline eye products for some reason, but can wear their skin products just fine. After three months, toss your eye makeup. Don't add tap water to it. These things can "pollute" your makeup and also cause eye infections .

If you do damage to your eyes, your vision would be impaired, and the pain would be very intense. If you suspect infection, please see the dr at once. Better a false alarm than altered vision.

Best wishes.

I feel something in my jawline under my skin, it hurts when I touch it. What could it be?

Abscess or cyst is the most likely option, especially with the pain. There are some lymph nodes under the jaw though so they could be swollen. However, if you have no symptoms other than pain then it is likely not a swollen lymph node (typically occurs during times of infection)If it is truly an abscess you will know soon enough. You will wake up one morning and your face will be blown up like a balloon. Especially if you keep playing with it.Save yourself the stress and go to a GP for a referral to a maxilliofacial specialist. They will get it sorted out for you.

Feel like something is poking my eyeball from inside?

Hey, Doctor Dad. As a doctor, shouldn't you know this? hahaha.
What you probably have is a stye. It's sort of like an "eye pimple" and should go away after some time. It does hurt, I know. If you want to see it, go to a mirror and try lifting your eyelid up (or bottom eyelid down, whichever side it is) and look. You'll probably see this white dot - that's the stye. If you look it up on Google, you'll get some pretty scary pictures, but they're usually not that bad. Those are just extreme cases. Don't worry, they go away after a little bit. It's probably from stress, lack of sleep, or something of the sort. Don't rub your eyes or anything. What you might want to try is cupping some cold water and rinsing your eyes by bringing the water to your eyes and blinking in the cold water a few times to wash it under there.
I hear it helps to get some warm towels over your eyes, as that will increase blood flow for faster healing.

It will go away eventually. I have popped mine, but it's recommended that you don't because it can spread and you'll have an eye that looks like those Google images if you do it wrong.

It feels like something is crawling around in my eye, by the tear duct. Please help!?

Yes, having dry eyes and using eyedrops can matter.

Is this feeling actually in your tear duct (lacrimal gland) http://eyemakeart.files.wordpress.com/20... or in the lacrimal canaliculi?

Tears start in the tear duct above each eye, wash over the eyeball, pool in the lower eyelid, and drain into the nose.

Dry eyes (which I also have, so you have my sympathy) can cause a clog somewhere in this drainage system. I tried to research whether any of these structures can have nerve spasms that might account for your feeling, but was unable to tell. We certainly can't rule out an infection or a parasite, not without actually seeing the area.

After four days of discomfort, you do need to see a physician. If you haven't seen an ophthalmologist (who specialized in medical eye conditions), I suggest you do so. There are prescription drops that can help dry eyes, depending on the cause. I have a chronic dry eye condition that eventually caused me to have minor but irritating eye surgery, and if I'd seen an ophthalmologist earlier I might have been able to avoid it.
