Fellow Libs What If Hiliary Doesnt Run For President Who

I told my progressive friend that Trump's presidency means America wants change, yet he didn't really see it that way. Am I wrong?

You can both be right. My personal opinion? Both of you are right.Americans can be stupid and ignorant—as much as any other group of humans.True believers of both parties found their candidates by scraping the bottom of their septic tanks—and they expected the American public to find that palatable.Trump? He is an unabashed narcissist. But he wasn’t inexperienced (he had more executive experience than Obama, which was exactly zero). And Trump certainly wasn’t racist. That’s echo-chamber campaign talk. (Though, he’s no saint as a businessman either.)Other option? Hillary. A smug, condescending politician, who’s been in D.C. for decades dealing influence for cash at the expense of Americans. Barely a pretense otherwise. The epitome for what half of the country absolutely despises about Washington D.C.Stupid and ignorant? Newsflash: both sides call the other side stupid and ignorant. If Hillary had won, conservatives would be saying the same thing. Slinging these opinions doesn't say much.So why did Trump supporters vote for Trump? The easiest way to find out, is to ask them. And they overwhelmingly tell you a few things, which can be distilled into one point:On the issues they cared about, Trump was highly preferable to Hillary.Voting for Trump was stupid and ignorant. But, it can be fairly argued—at least for many Americans—that voting for Hillary would probably have been more stupid and more ignorant. And that’s why so many people could hold their nose and voted for Trump. Many lefties have no conception whatsoever about why people thought Hillary was so terrible. The progressive left has intentionally developed a systemic inability to understand the other side’s perspective. For tactical reasons. They parrot asinine talking points like, “But you’re voting against your own interests!” To which farmer Bob and machinist Dan laugh and say, “Who are you to tell me my interests?!” It's bad strategy. Was Trump’s election a rejection of doing the same? I think Michael Moore summed up popular sentiment very well:There are other candidates I would have preferred. But I don't think Trump will be that bad. He'll bumble, he'll misstep. We're overdue for a recession. And his opponents will complain no matter what. He might be chaotic, but he's not evil.

Not Racist. Not Violent. Just not Silent Anymore.?

The fact that gentle and intelligent Tea Party members are being called "racist" and "violent" is evidence in itself that they are fighting evil and making some progress.

Edit: Here is what Hillary Clinton said about the right to debate:

"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration."

Does the Obama administration really want free speech? No! They only want dissent when they are not in charge and when they are in charge they will attempt to ram their diabolical ideas down everyone's throats.

The hateful bitter left is trying to establish the worst kind of socialist dictatorship and we know what all their tricks are and what their lies mean because we have seen all that before.

Why are Liberals so desperate to get rid of the Electoral College?

Okay, let us start with some simple facts.

The Electoral College remains in place over two centuries after the framers of the Constitution empowered it to select presidents. Though occasionally maligned, this system of electing a chief executive has been incredibly successful for the American people.

Many modern voters might be surprised to learn that when they step into a ballot box to select their candidate for president, they actually are casting a vote for fellow Americans called electors. These electors, appointed by the states, are pledged to support the presidential candidate the voters have supported. The Electoral College holds its vote the Monday after the second Wednesday in December following the election.

The Founding Fathers created the Electoral College after much debate and compromise, but it has provided stability to the process of picking presidents. Though the winner of the national popular vote typically takes the presidency, that vote failed to determine the winner in four elections: 1824, 1876, 1888, and 2000.

The Constitution states:
Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of senators and representatives to which the state may be entitled in the Congress.

As author and Texas lawyer Tara Ross wrote in a Heritage Foundation memorandum:

America’s election systems have operated smoothly for more than 200 years because the Electoral College accomplishes its intended purposes. America’s presidential election process preserves federalism, prevents chaos, grants definitive electoral outcomes, and prevents tyrannical or unreasonable rule. The Founding Fathers created a stable, well-planned, and carefully designed system—and it works.

On Election Day, Americans should appreciate the great and long-lasting constitutional tradition bequeathed to them—including the quirky Electoral College system created by the nation’s Founders.

Now to answer the question if you better understand how the Electoral College works.

The Libs want to eliminate it so they can add more and more Government control over your life and continue to get rich over raising your taxes while taking away your choices and freedom and allow states that are large, like California, to have final say.
