If you stop eating carbs, eat only protein and veggies, and exercise, will you lose fat?

I have told myself that I wasn't going to comment on food posts anymore because it is a lost cause, but all these responses has compelled me to say something.Fist off, vegetables are carbs.  They are complex carbohydrates that take longer to break down and create a low glycemic load on the body.  There were several  responses from fellow contributors, saying that you will die if you cut out carbs, this is ridiculous.Your body tightly regulates weight through hormone production of leptin and insulin.   Controlling these levels through a good diet of veggies and non processed meats and avoiding junk food is the key to success.   Bad food can also cause low grade inflammation in the body.  This resembles constantly having a mild flu. Inflammation is also a primary cause of high blood pressure, and heart disease.You can totally eliminate simple carbs from your diet, and you will lose weight.  You can eat only lean or fatty meat and you will also lose weight (Atkins).   You can eat only veggies and you will lose weight(Vegetarian, Vegan).   You can eat a combination of both and you will lose weight (Paleo).People have eaten like this for thousands of years before the post industrial age, and they tended to be a healthy weight.  Just watch any old movies or documentaries from around WWII.The goal is to eat natural foods that have are recognizable in their natural form as they sit on your plate.  Bacon doesn't look like a pork chop.  A potato chip doesn't look like a potato.  A chicken finger doesn't come from a chicken's foot.  The more the food has been modified in a factory or some other place, the more it is less like food."Why we get Fat" by Gary Taubes is an excellent reference about this.You need to study more literature concerning healthy eating.  Start with the more recent discoveries and work your way back.   Most people are going to repeat what they have heard for the last 20 years.  There is a reason that American's are obese.   If eating less saturated fat was the problem, then everyone would look like models, with their diets consisting of fat free sugar crackers and what not.  Instead every other man over the age of 40 is on Statins.  Do you think that people having heart attacks and strokes is because they are Statin deficient,  or is it because they eat foods that don't even look like food anymore.Sorry I am starting to rant.

How can one lose belly fat without exercise?

If you want to see the results from day 1 then please follow the below steps religiously:Start your day with either black coffee or with tea without sugar and minimum/no milk.Take cold water showers.Brisk walk - aim for minimum 5 km in 45 minutes.No breakfast.Have only 2 complete meals in a day. Whole day I feel alert and my belly has reduced without doing any kind of demanding physical activity apart from walking. I would advise you to take measurements, get your medical check up done before following this methodology. How do you recover after someone fat shames you, especially if it’s from a close friend or family?

“RECOVER”!!!There is no point in recovering when this thing happens every day! On one side there are these close friends of yours whom you love. All of you joke about each other.. Everything is normal. They get comfortable around you and then the real issue starts…They joke about your weight everytime. You ignore it, thinking they are friends and if you say something in return they will feel bad. Their jokes become more hurtful. You feel bad but still are quiet. Then a day comes, when you are with a bunch of other people and these fellow come to you, talk and then again start body shaming. You tell them to stop but all in vain. They think they are funny and continue. They don't understand that they are hurting your self confidence. And then again you feel bad, still you keep a fake smile on your face and life goes on!One fine day you kick these people out of your life and feel relieved. You are the happiest soul on the earth. You start living your life again with an actual smile on your face…

Apparently i'm skinny, but i want to lose weight!?

I'm 14, 5'3 and around 110 pounds.
My family and friends tell me im skinny, but when i look in the mirror i just don't see it. I eat only meat and veg during the week, but i sometimes end up binging at the weekend! Then i get really upset because i feel guilty for eating!

So its time to hit some heavy weight training ...At your age my weight is around 49kg and after trying hard for around a year i gained about 15kg  ..having 67kg at current ...total lean muscle ... and six abs too..So first off all you have to make strict desciplanary daily routine to enrolled with in both diet and weight training ..It should contain some heavy .. means really heavy compound exercises and lots of carb-protien diet .. you should able to consume at least 3000/3500 cal a day mostly from clean carb and protien based diet .. and you could not consume such high calories unless heavy weight training. Be clear do not enrolled with Isolation exercises it will contradict your muscle rather than expanding it will tone them ..Train only one muscle group per day .. that way it will help them to recover faster .. as ex.MON : ShouldersTUE : ChestWED : TricepsTHU : Thighs [Its necessary to hit thighs .. so it will boost testosterone level which help to recover quicker and enhance stamina]FRI : BackSAT : BicepsSUN : Abs And after each and every workout drink protien shake ... otherwise as beginner just plain milk with chocolate syrup and a banana.Break down your meal to 6 small meals per day .. and each 3 meal should contain Protiens size of your fist .. like Chicken,fish etcInclude Eggs in your diet like 6Eggs/dayDo not suppliment your body untill you get used to heavy weight training for more than 4 months ... otherwise its just waste all efforts and money.Drink another protien shake right before going to bed .. for first 4 months plain milk would be good enough ..It will show results beyond your expectation .. and after 4 months of strictness.. iam talking about very strict training ... if you willing to go on supplimainting like Mass Gainer or Whey protien ... your body gonna get ripped lean masculine with quality of weight gained .Wish you all d best ..

INteresting you should mention that... I recently read an article in Health Magazine that said that religious people are more likely to be obese, with Baptists coming as the most obese of religious people. The reason?? FOOD was the centerpiece of the gatherings...

I cannot tell you about getting dandelion tea in India, but it is generally used as part of a detox. When you detox you may lose weight, but eating habits, etc will determine whether or not the weight loss is permanent.
