Fema Using Colors For Emergencies

I've been watching videos/reading a lot about conspiracy theories (Illuminati, New World Order, FEMA camps, etc.). Is there some grain of truth to it?

Some grain of truth? Every once in a while the conspiracy theorists will hit on something that is true. So in that sense the conspiracy theories are correct. But to take the ones you mention: The New World Order is a weak but common translation of Novus ordo seclorum. Take a one dollar bill out of your pocket and look at the reverse side (the one seen below). Look just above the Novus Ordo Seclorum at the base of the pyramid, and you’ll see a string of Roman numerals. MDCCLXXVI - which is more commonly written as 1776. 1776 was, of course, the year most associated with the American Revolution - and that’s when the New World Order started. An era when kings ceased ruling countries - and an era with peaceful transitions of power and from which George Washington stepped down rather than had to retire or die.So yes, there is some grain of truth in the New World Order - it just really isn’t one the conspiracy theorists are talking about. It’s also a phrase that periodically gets dug up by politicians when they want to propose something they consider major.FEMA Camps? This is an old one (so are they all) - and I’m no expert on the subject. So I’d simply advise looking at the Popular Mechanics debunking. The basic answer is no.And the Illuminati videos? Do yourself a favour. Try and dance and avoid making triangle symbols. Tell me how it goes. (That triangle of course coming from the obverse of the Great Seal of the United States - the same symbol as the one dollar bill and a symbol the Masons only adopted a decade and a half later). The big question that none of the Illuminati videos ever answer is why they would be making all these symbols everywhere. One exception I will grant that is chock full of Illuminati symbolism is happened at the 2014 Grammy Awards (below). This is because former Contemporary Christian Music star Kate Hudson (performing as Katy Perry) decided to see just how many ways she could bait illuminati-watchers in one performance for the hell of it, from the Templar Cross onwards. She grew up in the sort of environment that looks for Illuminati everywhere and has turned her back on it hard - I suspect the people who put that performance of Dark Horse together were laughing themselves silly.

What components should I include in making a family emergency kit and plan?

The first thing you need to do is an Area Study to determine your family’s unique situation. What are your assets and threats? What are the most like natural and man-made disasters and emergencies you might face? Then you need the basics. Water, food and first aid. Shelter depends on situation.I recommend storing at the very least two cases of water per person in the household. The FDA considers bottled water to have no expiration date as long as the lid is sealed. Expiration dates printed on bottles are voluntary and reflect concern over taste and color; not safety.Depending on the possibilities of emergencies in your area, more is better. FEMA recommends having at least a two-week supply for moderate emergencies. I recommend a month at a gallon per person, per day for extreme emergencies. This is your number one priority: Get the water if you haven’t already!Stop procrastinating. For food: A least 3 days of non-perishable food, equaling at least 2,400 calories per day, per person. For first aid: a basic first aid kit.You can actually get the basic three items for less than $50 total. For more info there are free slideshows on survival here: http://bobmayer.com/workshops/

What is the myth of meritocracy according to peggy mcintosh in her article the white privilege?

White privilege is what got Michael Brown his job. If Michael Brown had been an African-American heading up the International Arabian Horse Association, with no prior experience with emergency management, he would never have had the connections, or been part of the good old boy network to get the job heading up FEMA. The appointment of Michael Brown goes to show that meritocracy is a myth. Society teaches us that if we work hard, we will get what we want, but white privilege puts certain people at an advantage while putting others at a disadvantage. As McIntosh writes,

"...obliviousness about white advantage, like obliviousness about male advantage, is kept strongly inculturated in the United States so as to maintain the myth of meritocracy, the myth that democratic choice is equally available to all. Keeping most people unaware that freedom of confident action is there for just a small number of people props up those in power and serves to keep power in the hands of the same groups that have most of it already."

Is it true that Fema will be rounding up americans for not having Obama Care?

I was watching videos on YouTube and i stumbled upon these videos about that FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Act). The videos were stating that FEMA would be placing color coded sticker on our mailboxes to identify us. If im correct blue means your a veteran or elder. Red means you will be on house arrest until they take us to the concentration camps. Yellow means You Rock and your an Obama Care Supporter.(I'm not 100% sure about the colors) One video stated that they would round us up on March 19, 2014 and March 20, 2014. Is this true?? I asked my parents and my father said that its completely fake because of our second amendment and that a government would never try that because there is more guns in america then people. Can someone please explain why FEMA would be doing this! I thought this was The United States Of America Home of the free!!

What does it mean when there is an 'x' on the door of a house after someting like a natural disaster?

In many communities, officials placard and mark structures after inspections. But, what are those colored placards and spray painted X's that adorn buildings after a disaster? The placards are postings by building officials that indicate what condition the structure is in. The large X's are marks made by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Search and Rescue Teams during and after searching for victims of the disaster.

This article briefly describes the meaning and use of these markings.

Question about FEMA Gulfstream rv trailers.?

Anyone have any experience with these rv's?
They sure sell cheap and are brand new, granted they don't look fancy but looking at pictures they seem like good trailers.

Feedback anyone?

As a police officer, if FEMA provided BDU's, but the uniform supplier required you to pay to have patches sewn on, how would you feel about that?

I’d take that offer in a heartbeat. Most departments give their officers a clothing allowance that covers certain uniform or equipment purchases. It’s likely, if that is available, the sewing fee can be taken from the clothing allowance. But even if it can’t, it’s still a bargain.
