Feminists Would You Like To Join The Gym With Me All That Energy In Fighting For Your Rights When

Why has feminism gone from fighting for equality to a fight to destroy men?

Why?We figure if we get all of the men and some of the women who are not feminists, most of the forums will just be really peaceful echo-chamber thought bubbles. We just want to relax with our cats and talk about menstruation and public breastfeeding and free birth control in peace. We may be intersectional, but that doesn’t mean we won’t slice you into sections. The third ( and fourth) wave (s) can be a tidal flood.Especially if we can’t sit and crochet while talking about our Etsy shops that sell pink pussy hats while sipping kombucha seated on the backs of boyfriends or friendzoned men who were once strong and independent but who just let us talk too much without interrupting us.I understand why you’re concerned.Edit: I don’t hate men and am adding this so no one can use me or my answer as their inaccurate example. This is farce. But it is still very instructional because it illustrates how leading questions like this distort people’s impression of Feminism. I am a feminist because I believe in equality, for everyone. That’s what Feminism is. If you disagree, you don’t understand Feminism or are selling it as something else to pitch your own idea. I’m sure the questioner didn’t intend to distort what feminism is with intent, to put it down or put forward any opposing philosophy through that distortion and leading language. So I’m grateful that they asked so their concerns could be clarified totally.

Why do so many feminists say you are putting women down, if you disagree with feminism?

@ Pretty Little Liar & Yacoffee - It has been well established that feminism is a special interest group, which doesn't fight for equality. Are you saying that one is putting women down because you don't believe that they deserve special benefits on the basis of their gender?

@ yacoffee - Just because you disagree with feminism does not mean you disrespect women. It is extremely self-righteous of you to say that.

Why do people hate feminists so much?

If feminism is about equality.. can you explain these to me...

a) If men want a men-only club, feminists say it's sexist.. if women want women-only nights at a gym... that's OK?

b) If a man sees a woman undressing in HER bedroom..HE gets arrested for being a peeping-Tom; if a woman sees a man undressing in HIS bedroom...He gets arrested for indecent exposure.

Do feminists want equality or only the good parts of being a man?

No, they don’t want equality. They vehemently opposed having women added to Selective Service. They don’t want equality in all the jobs. If the cushy, safe jobs they want are even 50% male, that’s a problem and they demand more women. Funny how garbage collector is almost 100% male and feminists aren’t saying anything about that. Or sewer workers, almost 100% male, or miners. But maaaaaaaan they yell about female CEOs, CFOs in nice air conditioned offices. They want, and feel entitled to, women’s only spaces all over. Women’s only gyms, female-only salons and spas, women only lockerrooms and bathrooms, women’s only groups and buildings on campuses, women’s only classes everywhere but get angry at the scant few men only places. They moaned and whined until the BOY Scouts of America went co-ed, but of course Brownies and Girl Guides are girls only. See above. There were already more outdoorsy programs that included girls (Venture Scouts) but that wasn’t good enough. They had to go after the “misogynistic” “rape culture epicenter” that is little boys and their fathers having one single place to spend privately. Heaven forbid. They don’t want male candidates which basically means they’re against democracy since democracy means the people vote (even if it’s for a male candidate). The moment you start assigning political positions to people purely based on sex/race/orientation, it’s no longer democracy. They don’t think male charities should exist or be supported and have lobbied to have them removed from events.Buh-bu-buh…the dictionary definition!!!!

Is anyone tired of feminism?

Frankly, in a way, yes.Feminism started as a way for women to get basic rights, which I respect and support.Feminism soon tuned into a movement demanding equal pay, and voting rights, which I respect and support. It then changed into a movement for equality for both men and women, which I respect and support. With the turn of the century, the women who were left at the extreme side with very few rights, had marched to the centre, towards equal rights. But then, something changed. One group stayed with the original purpose, while the other group kept marching on in the other direction. So while the first group still fights against basic rights like equal pay, the other group has turned into what the original movement was against, inequality of sexes, by acts of male bashing. So while we have people like Emma Watson trying her best to clarify that Feminism isn’t misandry,This Feminism, I love to see.But then we have the second group pushing forward misandry as women empowerment. This isn’t me calling the second version as Feminism. This is the second group declaring so, and I (and the first group) have been called delusional by the second group for saying Feminism is about equality, instead claiming that, and I quote several discussions here on Quora with these women, Feminism is a “way for women to rise up against men”, “men are dogs”, “since men have been bashing women for centuries, it is justified for women to bash up men now”, and so on.THIS is the Feminism I’m tired of seeing, and I see it every day, from men being treated like a doorman by a lady for opening the door for her, to being beaten up by mobs simply for the women stating he had molested her. From making sexist jokes about men, but calling a man a pig for making a sexist joke about women, because “women are not in positions of power, so it is justified”.We need the Feminism that speaks up against domestic abuse, and child marriage, not the Feminism that sees men as tools.

Is it correct to state that someone who is not a feminist is a sexist, a misogynist, or anti-women, as Ani DiFranco is reputed to have said?

No. It just means they’re not a feminist or part of their group and their actions. Just because you don’t support a certain charity means you’re against the cause. You might not support them because of their faults, actions, lies, etc.I am for equal rights AND responsibilities so I am not a feminist or any “-ist/-ism”. As far as I am concerned, “You must be ready to receive whatever you are willing to dish out”.I dislike how Feminists operate (biased laws, hypocrisy, shame tactics, bigotry, screaming/shutting down conversation if it takes a path they don’t like, abuse of authority/laws/social norms, lack of courtesy/respect, making fun of victims since they don’t come under their classification, etc).Basically Feminism is a power movement and uses Marxist tactics - just read up on that and you will see the near ditto SOP. They just want more privileges and special treatment everywhere and none of the responsibilities.“When people have privilege; Equality seems like discrimination”P.S.: I know a lot of good people in my life (had a great fortune in that regard) - men and women - who chafe because of the biases present in today’s society and feminism is just insulting all of them by classifying one side as the perpetual helpless incompetent victim while the other side as the evil incarnate who have no emotions.

Why are so many MGTOW men so 'Angry' at women? (Men Going Their Own Way)?

I understand that Radical Extreme Feminism might have caused many a guy to just 'GIVE UP' trying to find a woman for a partner these days, but what's up with all of this anger and hatred?

I mean, If I had a pair of shoes that was painful to wear then I would simply stop trying to wear them, I wouldn't build up an internal hatred towards them, so why do men develop a hatred towards women that they find painful in a similar way?
