Fever And Lethargy After Vaccine

Can you get a fever after getting vaccines 6 months ago?

It is in my opinion unlikely, but possible. Vaccinations are artificial infections and if the organism fails to deal with the forced introduction of toxic chemicals and foreign protein/DNA, this may result in fevers and other issues days, weeks or months later.Vaccinations also impair the immune system in that they weaken the immune system, making a person more susceptible to infections and resulting fevers. In such a case, the fever would be an indirect consequence of vaccination. It is important to note that fevers are a normal and healthy response to an infection and should therefore be left to run their course and not be interfered with via fever-lowering drugs, as this is counterproductive and potentially very harmful. It is in my opinion important to avoid vaccinations of any kind, as they are of no benefit and only cause harm.

Do people gets fever after getting anti rabies vaccine?

It is uncommon to have fever after ARV. Hardly anyone has it even among children. If at all someone has it, Paracetamol is enough. If your fever persists , think of some other cause.

Do puppy vaccines drain pups energy?

Some dogs will run a mild fever (102° – 104° F) and be slightly lethargic and not eat well for 36-48 hours after receiving vaccines. This is a normal response of the immune system to the vaccine and should not require treatment.
Call the Veterinarian if your dog:
Runs a fever for more than 48 hours or has a temperature of over 104°F.
Seems severely lethargic.
Refuses to eat or drink for more than 24 hours.
Develops a lump that does not go away after 4-8 weeks, continues to increase in size or bothers your pet.
Vomits repeatedly.
or If you are concerned for any reason after your pet has received vaccinations.
In rare cases a pet may have an allergic reaction to a vaccine. These usually happen within the first few hours after the vaccine is given but may occur up to 72 hours after the injection. Allergic reactions usually require treatment. Call the Veterinarian or seek after hours care at an emergency clinic if you notice any of the following:
Dfficulty breathing
hives ( red welts most visible on the stomach)
swelling, especially of the eyes, lips or muzzle
profuse vomiting or diarrhea
excessive scratching, (may even draw blood) especially around the neck.
extreme lethargy, inability to waken

I have had typhoid fever for 15 days. I took the medicine and I'm still having symptoms. The doctor told me that it's been cured, but I still have a headache, abdominal pain, throat pain, weakness, and fever. What should I do now?

Typhoid cannot be cured through medicines alone. DO NOT SELF MEDICATE. It needs medicine ( continuous for some time), diet (lot of water), rest and the body defense mechanism takes over to eliminate the virus. WIDAL will show positive even after 30 days. So, dont go by it. Consult a senior or government doctor (local and aged doctor in your locality) and obey whatever he/she says.Note: When i had typhoid, i tried to read a lot about it and took medicines without rest. I got relapse and was admitted to hospital needing saline and bed rest. I lost hair and became weak and paranoid. They stopped giving me medicines as i developed resistence. Hence, please dont read, dont take any advice from online forums or change doctors. A local doctor knows the number of cases in that locality and what medicine doses work better. Hence, please take rest, eat right food and mainly OBEY what doctor says suspending your intelligence and experience. This is not a disease that you can take lightly and medicine alone cannot cure this. I speak from experience.

Is it normal for a kitten to be lethargic after vaccinations?

Yes!! The reason is that a vaccine is a dead virus. Bodies both human and cats alike start to attack the dead virus. This "attacking" allows the immune system to find a way to effectively destroy the virus so that if we are exposed to a living virus then the body knows how to destroy it, thus we do not get sick. In the mean time while our bodies are "attacking" the symptoms are similar to when we get the flu (sleepiness, fever, ect).

Do/can children develop a fever after vaccinations as a side effect a week later?

My 2 yr. old daughter received vaccinations that she was behind on, they included mmr, chicken pox, flu, etc. last week, and now she has a 103 temp. and doesn't feel well. She has no other symptoms but the fever and fatigue. Has this happened to anyone else?

HELP! Do dogs get tired after their vaccinations?

YES - and you also need to take your dog's temperature. Normal should be between 100.5 and 101.5. Dogs do get tired and lethargic after vaccines, but this is by no means "normal."

Vaccines are un-natural assaults on the immune system, especially multivalent vaccines (those are the shots that have more than 1 antigen in there). It's not normal for a virus to enter a dog's bloodstream directly with the exception of rabies - virtually all other virii enter through the respiratory system.

Vaccine reactions are far more common than vets admit. They ALL need to be taken seriously and your dog's lethargy is no exception. It's not normal for a dog to be lethargic, plain and simple.

If your dog has a fever, then you do need to take him to the ER and insist that your dog is having a vaccine reaction. Insist on waivers for vaccines in the future and do what is right for your dog. If your dog does not have a fever, then lots of TLC will probably do the trick - just keep close watch. And if any new symptoms crop up (inappetance, poor stools, vomiting, etc) then race over to the vet.

I will caution you that ALL the time we see animals who would logically have fallen ill due to an event that just happened, but in reality there was something else going on. So while this would obviously seem related to the vaccine, and it may very well be, just look at your dog objectively. You know your dog best and you know when something is wrong.

Good luck !!
