Fiction Story Help Myths/lore

Who are some beautiful woman in works of fiction, lore, mythology and religion?

In works of fiction, basically every female protagonist written by the brothers grimm or hans cristian Anderson was described to be beautiful. I don't know specifically what type of fiction ur asking about, because who the hell knows how many beautiful women have been described in fiction?in terms of mythology, Greek mythology has a great number of beautiful women, including the goddesses, in particular Aphrodite, who is the Greek goddess of love and beauty, and of course the rest of the goddesses were described as beautiful as well in many Ancient Greek scriptures. Pandora was crafted by the gods to be a beautiful woman, and Pysche (who was Cupid's lover), was greatly resented by Aphrodite because she was beautiful.

Is there a brief distinction between a legend, myth, fable, story & a saga?

Fable is kind of a folklore,  one passed down through the generations.  It is normally a shorter story with a moral lesson. Saga is a long story full of a varied cast of characters that deals with a series of events that leave no life unaffected.Legend is a tale of good and bad that is longer than fables but smaller than saga. Sort of like a full length novel as compared to series (saga) or novella (fable). Myth is unverified sort of story closely linked with real events,  making them feel as if that is how they occurred instead of how it happened. There isn't really a way to be absolutely sure of the truth. And lastly, story is a term used to include all the above and is basically any tale that you can tell to others for entertainment and teaching. It is a gathering of prose that is relatable or at least the components are understandable. (An extreme example: Reading a story of the main character recovering from abuse becomes much more than prose because you can understand the character motivations, even if you can't relate to it.)EDIT: Thanks to a helpful commenter, I realize a need to make a distinction. The boundary between legend, myth and fable is really thin and there is a high scope of one classifying as more than one. In that sense, we can distinguish between the three on the fact that fable is shorter than legends and myth has more feel of being a piece of distorted reality than fable.  And lastly, legend is a story of grandeur and evils while myths  normally are passed around as warnings.

What story from mythology or lore demonstrates the importance of being efficient in your work?

I usually encounter stories which are about people being clever about how they work, such as Hercules and the Augean stables. Or there are stories about being hard-working in general: there is a type of fairy tales in which the hard-working heroine helps someone out and gets rewarded - usually by contrast with a lazy other woman; the hard-working one can be rewarded with diamonds falling out of her mouth when she speaks, for example; or there is the fairy tale of the girl whose brothers turn into swans and she must knit nettle sweaters for them before they can escape their curse (it takes time). Efficiency... I can't think of any story of that sort. I think working hard and/or being talented/clever was supposed to involve being efficient.

Is the movie The Babadook based on an existing myth or story?

No. The Babadook’s name really means “a bad book” (the book the kid finds), and one of the reasons why the film is so fresh and critically acclaimed is that, unlike most horror movies, the monster is not supposed to be “based on a true story/legend/something that could happen”. Rather, it represents grief and depression (this is why the monster itself is not CGI’d to look terrifying, and why we never really see it- it is something that we have all felt or will feel at some point, and it manifests itself differently to everyone).
