Find Sharp Pains In Back When Breathing

Pain in back/chest when breathing in deep and lying down.?

I am having a really peculiar chest pain but I don't think it is a heart problem or anything (I am only 19 years old). Whenever I stand up or sit up I am perfectly fine. However, whenever I lie down and breath in deeply, my mid back and what I think is into my chest cavity a little bit hurts like hell (a sharp pain). I wasn't able to sleep last night until 4:30 AM because I couldn't find a sleeping position that didn't hurt like hell whenever I breathed in. However, whenever I finally turned on my right side (which I didn't do normally because I usually sleep on my left side or on my back), the pain was absent no matter how deep the breath was.

This afternoon, I experimented to see if lying down still hurt when I breathed, and it did, so it is still persisting.

I have strong acid reflux at times but this is fairly well-contained by my anti-acid medicine. I also had costochondritis when I was younger but that was a far more mild pain.

Again, when I stand or sit up, there is also no pain. What the hell is going on!? I am starting to get worried and I don't have any easy access to "my doctor" for about 2 weeks.

Why am I getting sharp chest pains when breathing in?

If you experience pain, pressure or discomfort in the center of your chest or in your arms, back, jaw, neck or stomach.... along with shortness of breath, a cold sweat, nausea, fatigue or lightheadedness — for at least five minutes than this is medical emergency. But as you saying .... you're getting chest pain while breathing .......If it is characterised by pinpoint chest pain that worsens with positional changes in breathing. diffused or radiating .....is more likely to involve the lungs e.g pleurisy, an inflammation of the lung membranes pneumonia or asthmaIf pain is unrelenting, typically for several minutes is more likely to result from musculoskeletal injury or inflammation, or nerve pain e.g., a cracked rib, a pulled muscle in the chest wall or shingles involving the chestIf chest pain that gets better with exercise and improves with movement is more likely to have other causes related to your stomach.Keeping in mind your age factor i think you didn't have any pathology or alarming condition. ..... so there is no need to worry about it . My verdict. If you give me more info i will give you much better answer.Edit 1 : yes this is not a main issue..... usually this could be costochondritis pain nothing else. in this case pain coming directly from where the breastbone meets the ribs due to little tenderness. it usually goes away on its own without any treatment.

When I wake up, it is hard to breathe, and I feel sharp pains all around my ribcage. Any ideas as to why?

If it only occurs after you wake up , and you fine later during the day , I would say that your mattress is too soft , allowing your body to fold ( so to speak ) inwards , compressing , and reducing your lung capacity , it could also cause your spinal column to bend forward ( on your back ) , and sideways , on your sides. Sleeping for several hours , the muscles stretch , while the opposite side relaxes , causing a “ kink “ or “ catch “ even causing individual bones to slip a little , which can be very painful when trying to change positions.First try a different bed , no symptoms , it's the bed , if it's a different bed , BUT , you're a 2 or 3 pillow sleeper , or a stomach sleeper , all of these simple conditions can cause this type of pain .

Pain in stomach, lower back and around diaphragm when breathing deeply?

Your problems stem from tight back muscles. In that state they really aren't a problem but when you want to do deep breathing it's causing them to be pressed into the nerves going to the organs to cause pains and around your body to become pains in your rib, chest or heart areas. When you are doing a deep breath your ribs are expanding out in the muscles to cause the pains as well. When the muscles to the rib area has pressure on them they will keep the chest from expanding to make it hard to get a breath in. The pressure on the nerves to your stomach would cause it to release more gastric acid for stomach pains and can also make your stomach knot up, like a cramp, to cause pains in it. Muscles often tightened up for different reasons for this to happen. To get rid of the pains you have to free up your back muscles to release the tightness in them that is allowing them to be pressed into the nerves and here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do while sitting on a chair)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front, and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm as straight as possible. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, then release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Sharp pain around kidney area when breathing deeply?

Occasionally, not very often, I would breathe in deeply to suddenly find this sharp pain around my kidney area--in my lower back (definitely feels like it's around my right kidney).

It feels like this big bubble blowing up as I breathe in air, only deflating when I exhale. I feel like if I keep breathing too deeply it will suddenly burst...

But this only lasts for a few seconds, and to avoid it I just take shorter breaths or breathe through my nose instead. And after 5 short breaths, I test it and the pain seems to have gone away.

I am 15 years old, and I'm around 5 ft. and not very skinny (kinda average weight?).

Can someone please tell what is this pain? Thank you very much for helping!! ^^
