That is a great sign because to me it means a lot (it means you probably like precision, variability and that you enjoy learning new things about food, travel,and people. Thats a good start! The work needs good translators and there ar dozens of jobs where you can apply that skill (business, tourism, intenational trade, NGOs etc.(Please tell me your name, native language and which ones you are training and where you live and are studying.) You need to get to know yourself even more than you do now. Don't worry about the job just yet! It is not a will not be a nonsensical search for a career alternative. it will be in translation! Did you ever have to step outdside you to really find yourself and who you are?
I just got my heart broken twice and it really affected me and my view on myself...lately ive been taking a look at myself and really finding out who i am through art...music...and writing ...and i really like it...ive changed alot mentally and strength wise...the things i did wrong and let happen and ppl treat me are recognized and wont happen again....Its just cool to really understand who you are and where you are and what kind of msg your trying to get out to the world through you...i am my own entity...style wise...mind wise..and mentality wise...i know i have alot to learn and discover yet and i like the direction im headed in....i had a self ephiponey and i thought i was going crazy a few times but it was just me realizing we all are lol.....everyone has some kind of issue....living together and understanding them is what makes life easy or hard....ok ok im done for now..but i just wanted to get that out there and see who else has had a movement like this in there life...peace..
How can I find out if I really am part Native American?
Nope. No DNA test will give you valid results- that's why neither the federal government or any tribe accepts them. Just do standard family research, going back one generation at a time. Native ancestors are VERY easy to find, and are well-documented. (heck, most of us weren't even allowed to vote until the 1970's!) and we weren't even US citizens until 1924. So Indians will clearly be identifiable as such, if your indian ancestors even exist. (99% of these family folktales are just myths) The Shawnee and Cherokee are in Oklahoma....Do you have family there? The Tuscarora are in Ontario, Canada. So which ancestors are supposedly Indians? Where are they from? What were their names? Post that info here, and we can check the census records for you. btw.....having indian ancestors does not make you "part indian". It makes you someone with a story about indian ancestors. That's all. People don't come in fractions or percentages. You wouldn't say you were "part American citizen" would you? edit******************* I sure hope "Cheyenne" isn't your real name. Did you even know that it means "Dog"?

You can file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the National Personnel Records Center and obtain the following: Name Service Number Dates of Service Branch of Service Rank and Date of Rank Salary * Assignments and Geographical Locations Source of Commission * Military Education Promotion Sequence Number * Awards and decorations (Eligibility only, not actual medals) Duty Status Photograph Transcript of Court-Martial Trial Place of entrance and separation http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/foia-info.html is a good link. His awards and decorations will tell you what you need to know. If he really has been there and done that, he'll have at least one medal or ribbon to back the story up...if nothing, the Vietnam Service Medal will let you know he served there or near there in support of Vietnam operations.
