First Interview Tomorrow

First job interview tomorrow?!?!?

Firstly, it is essential that you just be confident in yourself. What I mean is don't worry too much, and just trust your abilities. Make sure you don't come across as arrogant though, as that would make you look full of yourself and certainly isn't a quality for a good worker. You'll also need to make sure you don't stutter or mispronounce things much, good speech and social skills are an asset to you. You also need to be very honest in everything they ask, don't linger much on anything negative for you, but don't lie or try to cover anything up. If they decide to do a background check (which Human Resources normally does) and they find out you lied, you can kiss the job goodbye. Also be very polite, it is much better to be overly formal than too informal. Take care of your appearance as well, it says a lot about you. It can tell someone whether you even care or not, and motivation can be conveyed through a little effort on your appearance, but don't wear a suit or anything overly formal. I would say the most formal you should be is a button up shirt and khakis or something like that, but don't go in shorts and a T-shirt, that would be disrespectful.

Essentially, be polite, honest, respectful, and convey a good image of yourself and you have little to worry about. If you do this and someone else gets the job, they were just better qualified. I'm certain that you can surpass a better qualified person if you adhere to the above rules and they don't, so good luck!

Very first job interview tomorrow.........?

I am 16 years old and tomorrow is my very first job interview for a store. I am not sure what I'm supposed to bring with me? Also I need some tips because i'm pretty nervousp

What should I expect for my first job interview tomorrow?

I’m 17 years old and tomorrow I’ll finally get to go to my first job interview but I’m nervous and not sure what to say or expect! Everyone I’ve asked says since I’ve never had a job before I shouldn’t worry about having a resume- and it’s not that I dont believe them but I’m worried that my interviewer will take note of it and deem me as unprepared! If I should ask questions, what should I ask? When should I ask them? It’s retail so I know it won’t be the same as an interview for a career but I still want to take it seriously! Any and all help is deeply appreciated!

I have a job interview tomorrow? Tips?

It's my first interview ever. I am 18 female if it matters. I have the interview for the position "Holiday Retail Merchandise Placement Associate" at Macy's. I already have the outfit together, I need please. Like suggestions for "Why would you want to work for Macy's?"....I'm getting pretty nervous and I'm scared that I will blank out as soon as I begin the interview. I really really hope I get this job! I really really need this job! Especially so that I can finally have some experience under my plate!

Thank you :)

I have a job interview tomorrow, how can I do good so I get the job?

Congratulations on landing an interview! Here is how you can prepare:Be ready to talk about who you are, why you’re interested in the company and how your past experiences make you qualified (these are standard opening questions)Look up interview questions from that company on Glassdoor.com if applicableConduct some research on the company and your interviewer (if you know who they are beforehand)Prepare questions for your interviewer to help you assess whether the role will be a good fit for youPractice speaking without “uhs” and “ums”Have a copy of your resume handy in case the interviewer refers to it.Dress appropriately for the role.Ask a friend to conduct mock interviews with you to help you prepare.Get a good night’s sleep the day before.Follow up with thank you notes to each of your interviewers.Overall, just remember to try to stay calm and treat it as a get to know each other conversation. That is all an interview is - a chance for you and the employer to assess whether you could work well together. If you aren’t a good fit, then it’s probably better that it does not work out. Hope this helps and good luck!

Interview tomorrow for a part time job - first ever interview...SO NERVOUS!?

Hello, and good job on landing the interview. This in itself is a big accomplishment!

Depending upon the job (retail, tutoring, or whatever you have applied for), employers will typically ask:

(1). About your personality. What do you like\dislike?
(2). Why are you applying? Is this something you really want to do?
(3). About your work history, if any;
(4). About how long you intend to stay with the job approximately.

Such an interview will not last longer than 15-20 minutes at the maximum.

Do not be nervous---there is no reason to be. An interview is your time to shine. Keep in mind that your interviewer does not know anything about you, and if worse comes to worse, you don't get the job. You will get another one, trust me.

Just be yourself and be 100% honest about everything that you can bring to your new employer. Be confident (but not cocky) and look your interviewer straight in the face at all times. Be polite and do not interrupt your interviewer. Tell him\her that you want the job because you want to prove to him\her how well you can do whatever you will do, and give him\her your word that you are capable of exceeding his\her expectations.

If you do these things, you will ace the interview!

I also have panic attacks (very severe ones), and know exactly what you are going through. Get there early (not more than 10 minutes), and get acquainted with the surroundings.

You will be just fine.

Best of luck with your interview! I hope this helps you.
