You will see that lines between paragraphs and indenting is variable from book to book. It appears better on a page if you indent the first line of each paragraph and leave a blank line between paragraphs Who are you submitting this paper TO? Ask that person what style they expect to see. When writing by hand in my journal notebooks, 3 ring binders actually, I use narrow lined paper, also called college ruled, indent the first line of each paragraph and I do NOT leave any blank lines.I write from the first line on the page until there are 3 lines remaining. I put a page number on the 2nd of the 3 blank lines at the bottom of the page. I only write on one side so any ink bleeding into the paper or impressions do not interfere with any writing on the back of the page. I prefer to use a fountain pen, but have used gel roller ball pens from time to time when I find one which fits my hand AND smoothly rolls.

College essays and plagiarism: Is posting part of my essay online a bad idea?

I have to disagree with the person below, they dont scan essays for plagerism- they generally dont even look at them unless its between two or more people of equal stats- they scan them to see if you can write thats it. They dont have time to read everyones essay.
So, its up to you, but I would say that you could use the advice first over anything else- but if you have a teacher, parents, and a close friend read it, you should be fine without posting. Like I said, we dont care too much about your essay unless your applying to an ivy league or the likes.
