Fitness Components in 400m Hurdles?

You should be doing 400 meter training. It takes more energy to run the 400 hurdles than the 400 since you are going over 10 hurdles, so you should be doing some of your intervals over the hurdles.
The most important thing is stride pattern so that you can take each hurdle at full speed and not adjust to the hurdle, which slows down your speed for the next hurdle.
Running over distance in pre and early season gives you strength and you must do sprint work to convert that strength to speed.
Hurdle work at least twice each week is necessary, because form is not as important as in running the 110 hurdles, but it is important.

What components of fitness do you need for cycling?

endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and leg / core strength. The best way to do this is to cycle a lot because if you make the thing you want to do the primary component of your fitness routine, then you’re going to get really good at it. Other things are just supplements to that cycling routine.

How is good nutrition related to other components of personal fitness?

Your body is a machine. A very complicated one. Like all machines in needs fuel to operate. Different parts of the body need varying types and amounts of fuels. Nutrients are these fuels. To be physically fit all these parts must work properly or the machine breaks down and can't operate. Another part of personal fitness is hygiene. You gotta clean the machine. Think of the body as an automobile. It needs regular maintanance an it's your job to see that it gets it.

Which of the five components of health-related fitness — cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular?

1. Teens are most concerned with body composition because they can see it and they're very concerned with appearance because they are naive and superficial in their thinking, think they're going to live "forever", have generally poor judgment (immature cerebral prefrontal cortex), are extremely concerned with appearance because they are into dating, and have not received any serious in-depth education in fitness with the exception of athletes.

2. Teens are least concerned with muscular endurance. Flexibility is running a close second but teens are aware of a need for flexibility because they can see it in action in sports, pep squad, dance, warm up for running, etc. Muscular endurance is not something one can see and not something which is promoted in advertising and media where the spotlight shines brightly on body comp, cardio, and strength.

3. The same thing which can be done to make teens better at those important things for which they have less than adequate training such as driving, managing drugs and alcohol, dealing with emotional issues, learning how to think critically, etc. In short, EDUCATION. Very simply, teens need to be taught about their bodies and how to make them fit and keep them that way. It's not possible to educate an entire demographic with MTV or commercial advertising or the occasional documentary or PE class. There needs to be more emphasis on education across the board. Teens need two more years of high school with college beyond that for mandatory education. After all, they're going to live well into their 80's so they should give back some of that life their grandparents didn't have by educating themselves so they can forge a better future for their community on all levels, local to national to global.

Hope this helps.
