How do I fix a phone not booting after flashing a custom ROM?
Try flashing the ROM again.Make sure you are doing a clean flash.Always wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache before flashing.This is very important.Dirty flashing often results in bootloop.If it still results in bootloop after a clean flash, then your firmware might be corrupted.Try flashing again using another zip package.Lastly, if you wish to return back to stock, you can either restore the Nandroid backup (if you have made one) or flash stock ROM.

Trouble Installing Windows XP on Compaq CQ10?
I bought the Compaq CQ10 130SE a week ago, and it came with Windows 7 Starter. I wanted to install Windows XP Professional and here's what happened: 1- I made a flash drive with XP installation using WinToFlash as it is the most popular method I found online. When I boot from the flash, setup says "Drive C: is corrupted and setup cannot continue". I suspected it's trying to install it over the flash drive as it kept flashing while it says checking drive c: 2- I bought an external DVD drive and when I boot from it, it says I have no mass storage device installed. 3- I got a second flash with Windows 98 boot disk installed. My guess was right, it DOES see the flash drive as drive c: and the hard drive as d: . I ran FDISK and managed to format the drive d: but it can't make it the active drive... only drive c: (the flash drive) can be. I tried then installing XP from the DOS prompt using my XP flash drive but it sayd " No SmartDrive detected. To continue without a SmartDrive press Enter". And this takes forever and It is stuck at "Inspecting Computer Hardware" phases of setup. And no.. I don't have the option to enable my hard drive from BIOS, but I don't know why it isn't active in the first place. Now I'm stuck with a Windows XP Installation option (when I boot from the hard drive) that starts and quickly ends with BSOD with the error 0x0000007B. Any ideas on what to do?

You can copy the setup file and run it on another computer.If you mean something like cloning the program from a computer to another one, this can't usually be done. You can try using the Transfer Files & Settings Windows utility for this (Page on microsoft.com for more details).You can anyway surely do that with portable applications, which only need to be run and require no installation (e.g. Firefox portable).

I recently installed a copy of windows 7 onto my usb flash drive. I started up my computer and opened up the boot menue. once i opened up the boot menue I pressed usb hard drive. now there is a black screen with a white blinking dot in the left corner. I am wondering if this is normal and how long will it do this until the installation windows start up? need help on what i am doing wrong please.
