Fluent English Speakers Could You Help Me

Which app can help me to speak English fluently?

Quite some answers here suggest you enhance vocabulary. But the fact is many people having learned thousands of English words and able to listen/read/write in English can’t speak English fluently! So vocabulary is only the most basic requirement for English speaking. The more critical skills include :Your proficiency in using phrases and sentence patterns to express thoughts;Your proficiency in uttering sentences in real time (vs writing them where you have time to review and refine the words).(Some may argue pronunciation is also important. But if you’re aware that countries like India and Philippine are providing English call center services to the world, you know accent is actually minor in verbal communication.)And how could you develop the above critical skills? Conversational practice is the only effective way. So the apps you’re looking for must present an interactive speaking environment so that you can practice English speaking by yourself any time, any place. The AI-powered app TutorBot, your 24/7 English speaking coach is designed for that. It provides a virtual speaking environment where you interact verbally with a virtual tutor, as demonstrated in the following clip.So download the free app now and start to improve your English speaking fluency. Good luck!

Jobs in France for fluent english speakers?

Depending on your age, you could do the language assistantship program offered by the French embassy (in US) and British Council (in UK). check it out at www.frenchculture.org (search assistantship) Here you will work 12 hours per week in a French school. They request a minimum of 2 semesters of university French. With your students you'll be speaking only English.

Otherwise scientific organizations are a good place to check. I work in one and while I am fluent in French, everything is English because it's an European institution. We have people from all over the world working there, and the common language is English. It's noted on job openings 'knowledge of the French language, while useful, is not necessary' I believe my employer even pays for French lessons for certain employees.

Also, anything European Union based will want English for sure (however, may require nationality in an EU country); Check Strasbourg or even Brussels (in Belgium I know...but they speak French there)

Fluent speakers of English, I need your help?

Note: "...which of these paragraphs..." ("paragraphs" - plural).

The first seems to be correct, if that protection by groves happened only in the 16th century, if your understanding of the text in the foreign language is correct.

If it is the case that the protection offered by the groves is still common, then rewrite the sentence as: "From the 16th century onwards it has been appreciated by local people that their homesteads benefit from the protection from drifting sand offered by the pine groves." That might be quite a long way from a literal translation of the foreign text, but it is how I would express the idea in English. Note also that I have used "protection" rather than "shelter" or "defence".

The expression "as of (named time)" means from the named time and still to carry on in existence. It is more usually used for events which are about to happen, e.g. "As of 1st May this year, drivers over 70 years of age will need to renew their driving licences".

Note that I am British, Americans etc might have different ideas.

Native English speakers! Could you help me with my poor English?

A long time ago, I visited her house in order to meet her, When she answered the door, I said "Hello", but she did not say anything to me.
Her mom (my aunt) took her by the arm and said to her "say hello to Ikuyo" she responded "Do not touch me! You are sooo disgusting" then she just went to her room. Her mom said to me "She is really busy and gets very stressed, it's okay, I can understand how she feels. I wonder what kind of stress an unemployed person would be under.
.
The younger brother of my dad's side love her, so you know why we cannot get along with them.

My mother's family are very nice people. I like them a lot and they like me as well.

My mom's brother worked at Honda after he graduated from junior high school. He recently retired from that company after working there for about 50 years! They live in the middle of area in Japan. Tokyo people get the largest salaries in Japan, and then those areas, because Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Yamaha...etc are all in those areas.
You also mentioned GM, Ford and Chrysler, Toyota is also plagued by an operating deficit. Toyota said "if wel lose 75% of our sales, the deficit will balloon to 10,000,000,000 dollars" That is amazing!

Do people agree with a plan for the car companies to get money from the government?
It would be VERY big trouble if they go bankrupt.

It was pretty to hear arara from you ^^ you seem to be a woman (women say arara, men do not say it)
You looked silly in that pictures? we need to be silly, sometimes ^^

Please do not worry, you are a nice person. You seem to be a little bit of a worrier.. If someone does not mail you, it is not always true that you said something stupid. I have also had the same experience that my penpals stop mailing me. Just let them do what they want to do, maybe they were fed up with me, or found out there was not the same interests and attraction between us.

I have heard of bleach, but I have never read it.
It is cool that you also know and like to see pics of cosplay ^^ Yes, I like the Japanese get dressed up in cosplay stuff.

Do you like video games? I used to play them a lot when I was younger. I was into the FF series.

Which countries have you ever been to?

You once told me that you have not found what occupation you should choose to work. Have you found one?

I do not speak English very well... HELP!!?

Dear Saiirin,

I totally understand your feeling because I've been there too. I moved to the United States from Taiwan in 7th grade speaking NO English, and I felt so ashamed and stupid EVERY SINGLE DAY. Can you believe it? My father even had to show the principal my IQ test result from 4th grade to prove that I was not retarded or anything. I was completely silent for two years and I didn't have any real friends. I hated English and I hated America.. so much. Some of my classmates made fun of me, immitated Chinese (like one of the answerers above did), etc., and they would not stop until I started crying. I think you are doing better than me, already speaking in front of the class and everything! The first time I spoke in front of the whole class (if ESL doesn't count) was in 10th grade, when I had to do a presentation for English. My voice was shaking, and I CRIED after the presentation. It was so bad. And then in 11th grade, I had to do a soliloquy, and even though I memorized the entire speech, I still forgot halfway through and stood there in silence for an entire minute. Everyone just stared at me. I have so many stories like this that I can tell you, but I just want to let you know you're not the only one going through things like this. Trust me, everything will be fine one day, and you will even be glad that you have been through experiences like this. Please don't be discouraged or ashamed of yourself. You are doing just fine!
