My parents do not want me to lose weight to achieve a slim body yet when they see others they admire theirs!?

Interesting (and a little confusing)...your parents sounds a little strange. Anyway, 136 lbs is a little high for a 5'1" female (i'm assuming you don't have too much muscle. Guess what...if you want to have a great body and not have to lose to much weight and definitely NOT look like your parents can't feed you then check out Zuzana on Youtube. My friend competes at ~122 lbs (she is your height) and looks absolutely amazing. Even at 5-10 lbs heavier she would still look good. So...see below

Keep in mind to focus more on body fat% than pure weight loss. You could lose 5-10 lbs and if you're tone and fit, have a smokin hot body, or lose ~20 and not look so good.. Get your body fat % checked (doctor or any good gym) and set a goal of how much fat to lose in the next 4 months.

See below...exercises you can do at home:

Try this for exercise:
I would go in this order (as you get in better shape)...if you are already in decent shape then start in the middle (with Zuzana's workouts)

- Jillian Michael's (trainer from biggest loser) 'the Shred'. This is a good starter cause it has levels 1-3 so you can start and progress as you get in better shape
- Power90
- Zuzana's youtube site (not a DVD but has daily workouts...she has one of the most amazing female bodies i've ever seen and her workouts are great. http://www.youtube.com/user/charliejames...
- P90x
- Insanity...google it, get it. This is the most intense workout ever put on tape. It's tough but you're young...you can handle it (are you insane enough :-)

As for eating...Improve your nutrition to mostly eating lean protein (chicken, fish, lean turkey, lean beef etc.) and veggies (i.e. broccoli, spinach, etc.). Mix a little fruit in there for some sweetness and nuts for snacks. Don't forget your good carbs (oatmeal in the morning and sweet pototo pre-workout) for energy. You can also buy whey protein and make whey protein smoothies (2 scoops protein, ice, skim milk - blend - little peanut butter, ripe banana, more ice - blend again: tastes great). Cut out junk food (especially soda, anything loaded with high fructose corn syrup, all sweets, etc.)

I want to loose weight?

I am a sixteen year old girl and I want a nicer body. I am 5'4 feet tall (1.66 cm ) and 117 lbs (53 kg). What I have in mind to do is start home workouts and go on a 500 cal diet. Do you think its a good idea?

How can a skinny guy gain weight and develop a fit body?

So its time to hit some heavy weight training ...At your age my weight is around 49kg and after trying hard for around a year i gained about 15kg  ..having 67kg at current ...total lean muscle ... and six abs too..So first off all you have to make strict desciplanary daily routine to enrolled with in both diet and weight training ..It should contain some heavy .. means really heavy compound exercises and lots of carb-protien diet .. you should able to consume at least 3000/3500 cal a day mostly from clean carb and protien based diet .. and you could not consume such high calories unless heavy weight training. Be clear do not enrolled with Isolation exercises it will contradict your muscle rather than expanding it will tone them ..Train only one muscle group per day .. that way it will help them to recover faster .. as ex.MON : ShouldersTUE : ChestWED : TricepsTHU : Thighs [Its necessary to hit thighs .. so it will boost testosterone level which help to recover quicker and enhance stamina]FRI : BackSAT : BicepsSUN : Abs And after each and every workout drink protien shake ... otherwise as beginner just plain milk with chocolate syrup and a banana.Break down your meal to 6 small meals per day .. and each 3 meal should contain Protiens size of your fist .. like Chicken, fish etcInclude Eggs in your diet like 6Eggs/dayDo not suppliment your body untill you get used to heavy weight training for more than 4 months ... otherwise its just waste all efforts and money.Drink another protien shake right before going to bed .. for first 4 months plain milk would be good enough ..It will show results beyond your expectation .. and after 4 months of strictness.. iam talking about very strict training ... if you willing to go on supplimainting like Mass Gainer or Whey protien ... your body gonna get ripped lean masculine with quality of weight gained .Wish you all d best ..

Lifting weights make face thinner?

Well, yes...
"Although any type of execise is beneficial to losing body fat, lifting weight (resistance training) is by far the most important factor for changing body shape. Not only does it help to tone your muscles, (which other forms of exercise doesn't) but plays an integral role in promoting fat loss. The reason for this is that the metabolic properties of muscle tissue. Muscle is the most metabolically active (burns calories) tissue in the body. For each pound of muscle you carrry, you burn an additional 50 calories per day, and you burn these calories on a continual basis even whilst lying on the settee watching the TV.

So if you put on an extra five pounds of lean muscle tissue you would burn an additional 1750 calories per week, regardless of activity level. Assuming that the food intake remained constant, those extra 5lb's of muscle would result in a fat loss of approx 23 lb in one year..!

Also resistance training promotes a significant higher level of calories burnt after training, this is called excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). Even greater than cardio training, with effects lasting for more than 30 hours. So although you may not expend as much energy during exercise performance, weight training allows you to burn a greater amount of body fat in total." (Source = Link)

So, with that said, the weight would drop..... but ideally you would want to combine weight lifting & cardio for best fat burn results.. and a thinner face.

If I lose weight will my face get thinner?

No, if you are already that thin and your face is still fat then you have an under developed chin, disproportional nose or weak/ barely there cheek bones. Plastic surgery is the only thing that can fix that. Maybe ask your parents for Christmas? It will only cost 5000 to 10,000 dollars, depending on the work you need done.

Will my face get thinner when I lose weight?

Hi!Our body doesnt burn fat in any particular area depending on the workout we select. Body fat is burning simultaneously but not always equally depending on our body type. My best suggestion is to implement healthy eating into your lifestyle and start working our your whole body, you will lose weight and already have toned muscles showingStaying healthy and fit is something you do every day if you really want those results, its not a one time solution to lose weightYou have to consume enough proteins, lower your carb intake and workout starting with cardio+some free weights.Depending on your body type face fat will burn faster or longer but eventually its all gonna leaveHave a great day:)

I am 22 years old. I am very thin. I need to increase weight. How can I increase weight? What kind of food should I eat?

You need to follow the below points. As soon as you wake up, drink 1 liter of water completely. Walk for 10 minutes so that the pressure will get on to your stomach and you will get urge to go to wash room right away. Drink 1 liter of water again after 1 and half hour and again walk again for 10 minutes until you get the urgent feeling to go to wash room. Now, you are free from waste. Your body now accepts the new products that you are going to provide.2. Do exercise for 1 hour everyday. Your stomach becomes ravenous after burning calories. This is very important.3. For Breakfast : Soaked Peanuts-1 cup, Coconut- half, Dates -10 to 15. You can also add cashew nuts or almonds-10 if you can afford and then eat fruits like Banana, Chickoo, Jackfruit, Mango, Custard apple.4. For Lunch and Dinner : Eat Brown rice along with green leafy vegetable curry and any other curry. Follow 3:1 ratio of rice and curry. More rice is required because , it’s very easy for our body to convert carbs into fats rather than fats to body fat.5. Eat curd daily .You can surely increase your weight if you can follow this clean diet. Here I made sure that you get fats and carbs which are required for body fat. You don’t need huge proteins, because those are required for muscle formation. That’s it. This is by far the best method to gain weight in a healthy way.Eat healthy, Stay healthy. :)

Do jumping jacks help slim down thighs?

Yes they can.
When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Activities that burn calories include running, biking, swimming and other high intensity activities.
