For Those Who Body Build How Do You Make Your Calories And Nutrients Add Up

How come bodybuilders eat so much calories but never get fat and never do cardio workouts ?

Bodybuilders, the natural ones at least, are extremely active and their metabolic rates are set on high due to the sheer volume of weight they lift per workout, which can ADD up to several thousand pounds worth of iron moved.

Second, a natural bodybuilders total caloric load is around 60% Protein, which most of which goes to rebuild torn down tissue and the dietary fat and carbs go to energy production.

Very little energy is left to be stored as fat, if any at all.

Can you build muscle on a calorie deficit ?

Maybe you cannot get a straight answer because you’re not asking a straight question.
Do you mean that a 2,000 calorie diet would be a calorie deficit for you?
A 6 feet tall, 20 years old 185lbs guy would not even need that much.

What is your BMR? (your Basal Metabolic Rate depending on your gender, weight, height and age).
How much would be that calorie deficit?
How much fat reserves do you have?

Men: BMR = 66 + ( 6.23 x weight in pounds ) + ( 12.7 x height in inches ) - ( 6.8 x age in years )
Men: BMR = 66 + ( 6.23 x 185lbs ) + ( 12.7 x 72 inches ) - ( 6.8 x 20 years old )
Men: BMR = 66 + 1,153 + 914- 136 = 1997

Do not expect any right answer without providing enough data, like your age, weight, height, your calorie expenditure and your calorie intake, and the percentage in your diet of carbs/fat/proteins.

Do you really need supplements for Bodybuilding?

You don't *NEED* supplements to gain muscle. It may help speed up the process, but they aren't necessary. The other thing to remember is that supplements are, by definition, something that is added to something that's already there.

For example, you ask about whey protein. If you are getting enough protein in your diet, you don't need a protein supplement.

Another thing, you need to make sure you're eating correctly. If you are trying to build muscle, you need to make sure you are getting enough calories.

And, finally, if you are doing intense weight training to build muscle, you should aim for between .75g and 1g of protein per pound of body weight each day. This doesn't mean drinking enough protein shakes to get 200g of protein. This means that all of your protein for the day should add up to that much.

How do I build my body up in five months without supplements?

Hi,Although many good people already have answered thsi question; however, I would still like to add my points to it. 5months is a decent time to pack on muscles (irrespective of what bodytype you have).Fix your diet- Take 1gm-1.5gms of proteins per pound of your body weight from lean protein sources like Chicken breasts, Fish, Egg whites. You don’t need to rely on supplements to get your proteins. Eat clean carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc. You can take healthy fats from Omega-3. Olive oil, Egg yolk(don’t consume them in large quantities; 1–2 yolks a day would be fine). And, not to mention, eat lots of salads and fruits (to add fiber in your body). Eat moderately, don’t eat to fill your tummy but to function properly. You may like to add caffeine (e.g. black coffee) before your workout for a better focus and fat-loss.Build a Solid training regime- Go for strength training 4–5 times a week and, do 15–20 min cardio post strength training. If you want to cut fat, try to have “active rest” days ie. on your rest days, you would be doing some physical activities outside your gym. Play any sport or jog.DRINK A GALLON OF WATER EACH DAY- Helps to detox your body.Sleep- 7–8 hours every night. (NO COMPROMISE HERE as your body will grow when you sleep.BE POSITIVE ABOUT YOUR PROGRESS ALWAYS!!Best,KP

Can we build muscles without protein supplements?

Yes you can build muscle without consuming whey protein supplement.Building muscle results from a proper training program and good nutrition. Even the biggest of bodybuilders do not rely merely on protein shakes to achieve their muscle building and fat burning goals.Whole foods(actual food) contain all the amino acids the body needs to recover from intense workouts. Protein supplements are very fast absorbing i.e. they get digested very quickly. In fact, whole food protein has a thermic effect on the body, increasing fat burning by forcing the digestive system to expend more energy breaking down the amino acids. How to build muscles:-progressive weight training (free weights and body weight). with time keep on increasing the weight and/or the number of reps and sets.by performing compound exercisesmaintaining good form while trainingby changing the training pattern every few months to shock the muscle because the body gets adapted to the pattern which you have been following and stops responding to it. thus, leading to a plateau.eat plenty of good food throughout the day spread out in 4–6 meals containing ~20–25 grams of protein per meal.rest is one of the most crucial factors which determines muscle growth. have a good nights sleep of 6–8 hours.the timing of the food and what you eat around your training is very important. e.g. post workout you need to immediately feed your body with carbohydrates and protein rich food.Whey protein supplements are good for those who are not able to get enough of the nutrition from the food they eat.For furthur information:-Bodybuilding Without Protein ShakesHow to Build Muscle Without Supplementscheck out my INSTAGRAM @UTKARSHS2204 for workouts and fitness tipshttps://www.instagram.com/utkarshs2204/

To gain muscle do you eat more calories or less?

So I'm confused, they say fat is bad for ya and that fat doesn't turn into muscle. However I would hear famous celebrites like Jason Statham or Hugh Jackman eat like 5000+ calories a day. So does that I can fast food or whatever a lot a do heavy workouts and get big. Yet in that same token a program a program like p90x says you need to cut you calories intake in half.....so what's the deal!?!?! Thanks.
