Formulate A Question For This Research Paper Topic

Good research paper topic on horses?

What type of paper does it need to be? (ie position paper, persuasive, thesis, etc.) If you get to choose, I like position papers. Show both sides of the topic, equally and balanced, and then at the end pick one and explain why (without using first person). You could do PMU horses, you could do something on wild horses (Chincotegue ponies get rounded up once a year and sold off, same with mustangs etc.) Horse racing is controversial... If you want to do horse slaughter, don't write the whole thing about how you hate it, because in an argument about the benefits for it, they far outweigh the cons (in other words your teacher probably won't be impressed). I would go for something controversial, because there's more to write about than a one sided argument.

How do I pick a research question for a history research paper? Any general topic suggestions?

First and foremost, you should pick a research topic that you generally find interesting. If you don't find it interesting, you'll hate yourself and the topic as you do your research, and generally find writing the report much more difficult. The way I approach large research papers is to find a research question that has two competing theories or ideas about the answer and that has scholarly significance. What does scholarly significance mean? It means topics that already have large amounts of previous research done, and that continue to churn out competing theories and conclusions. This question in mind must also be a "value-judgment" question in that you, the researcher, are making a "value-judgment" as to what is the answer. This way, you can evaluate the evidence and factual information, present and analyze the theories, and then conclude with which theory you think is correct or if both theories are incorrect. For example, your research question should not be, "How did the Allies win WWII?" That question has way too many possible answers, and there is no "value-judgment" in that question. Instead your question should be, "What was the most important factor that contributed to the Allied victory in WWII?" This question has a value judgment that would then allow you to present all of the information, analyze the pros and cons of each factor, and then make a decision as to which factor was the most important.

What are some interesting topics to write a research paper on?

It really depends on your interests, friend. But a good piece of advice given to me by my English teacher in my freshman year was: if you aren’t enjoying what you’re writing, then the reader can tell.Try to focus on what gets you going, this could be personal experiences, opinions, and interests. You’ll want it to be a narrow topic, not too broad, but not so narrow that you can only form a couple sentences. You’ll also want it to be fairly debatable, not a topic/opinion like, “The sun makes it hot outside” lol. You’ll also want something that you can get a reasonable load of research on.However, to specifically answer your question, here are some ideas that get me going: thievery can be justifiable, just because something is organic does not make it superior, chemicals vs natural, evolution and creationism could be taught side by side in schools, there needs to be a distinct line in professionalism, leave your opinions/personal beliefs out of your work/professional life, going to church doesn’t make you a good person.Maybe even try historical figures, or historical events.

Alien-related research paper topics?

You could do the possibility of life on the moon of Jupiter, Europa. It is said that because of its oval orbital path around Jupiter that this has warmed the moon below the surface. Since this moon is primarily ice, scientists think that there may be a large ocean under about 15 miles of ice that cold potentially house life.

I think that this is a very interesting subject and there is plenty of information on it.

A research paper topic on dogs?

You could try to dig out any facts on all the things people argue over here day after day, age to spay/neuter, health of show vs mixed breeds, feeding, age to place in the home, etc. I doubt many of the people answering questions here realize there are studies on those subjects. Not all opinions were pulled out of somebody's butt or based on old wives' tales

Finding factual material on those topics on the net can be tough. Google and 95 out of the top 100 will be junk put up by activists with an agenda with no evidence to back it. Do a search at www.avma.org and you will be asked for your membership number when you try to open what you find. I recently discovered some of the material is available elsewhere if you do a search on the title. I long knew about the paper ''Effects of limited food consumption on the incidence of hip dysplasia in growing dogs'' but only recently was able to read it after doing a search.

Trail of Tears (Research Paper Topic)?

Hello-
I am trying to come up with a research paper topic for the trail of tears. I can’t just write a research paper on the Trail of Tears itself, I have to ask a question and answer it.

I’ve thought of questions like: What were the societal impacts of the trail of tears?
or: What were the causes of the trail of tears?

I’m currently researching the trail of tears itself to come up with a question and a thesis statement so that I know I can definitely do my paper on it.

If any of you can help me out that would be awesome :) I just need a question for the trail of tears that I could answer in a 5-7 page research paper :)

thankss

Which topics do ECE students write research papers on?

Hi,Thanks for A2A. There are a wide variety of topics on which students in Electronics and Communication Engineering can pursue their research. The real question is finding the one topic/field you like. Here is one of my answer to a similar question:Yash Deep's answer to What are some good topics to do research and publish papers on electronic devices or basic electrical technology?Apart from that , the broad areas include Embedded Systems, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Communication Protocols, Networking, Antennae and Radar and so on.I hope that helps! Thank you! All the Best!

What are the best ways to choose topic for research paper writing?

Since the question only asks about choosing a topic, and I am making the assumption this is for school:Choose something that interests you. Trying to research something that you do not find interesting makes the paper extremely difficult and frustrating. By picking a topic that you want to know more about, you will be more engaged in the actual writing.Just to note, if you're paper requires a length (8-10 pages, etc.), make sure you pick a topic with enough information. Having an extremely good topic is worthless if you can't make the length of the paper. If there is no page requirement, then I will give you this advice: Keep a research paper to the length of a woman's mini-skirt... Long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting. In my opinion: Choose something you know a little about, but want to know more. Don't just regurgitate something you already know onto a piece of paper.
