Found New Job. Need Advice

I need to quite a job due to illness...advice?

I need to quit a job due to illness, and i won't be able to work for awhile. I was planning on quitting the company before i found out i was sick, but this just means that I can't give a 2 week notice.
How do I explain this to my boss without sound like a jerk...it's not my fault i can't work.

How do I describe to my manager that I have found a new job at another company?

Make an appointment to speak with the manager, first of all. Second, when you meet the manager, speak clearly and directly, stating what the current position (that you are leaving) has taught you and prepared you for more challenges. Thank them for the learning opportunity. Third, tell the manager that you have found another job and are giving a two-week notice. Say that you will also give the notice in writing, but you wanted to inform the manager in person. Fourth, type your letter and submit to the manager and to HR. State your last day of work in the letter. Finally, share your good news with colleagues, if you wish to. All the best!

Boss found out I'm interviewing...?

I really need some advice....

I work for a small company and I have been looking for another job as I have no room for advancement in my current position. Well, one of the companies I applied with must have called my place of employment to verify my work there. Our HR director then told my boss about this call and he came up to me and confronted me on it. I was honest and said that I did have an interview but was not offered the position. He said he appreciated my honesty. But now I don't know what to do- do I sit down and voice my concerns with my present job and "explain" why I'm looking (i.e. "damage control") or do I just let it go and not mention anything else about it???

Advice PLEASE!!!!!!

Need help finding a job EMERGENCY?

Unfortunately because you are underage (not yet 18) your best bet for hire is working in the fast food industry. No one else will hire you until you turn 18. Besides, this isn't your problem. This is an adult's problem, more specifically, your parents. THEY are the ones who should have taken out insurance and THEY are the ones who need to worry about paying the bills, getting short-term sick leave, etc. Not you. Don't try to take on this burden; this is THEIR responsibility. You need to finish your schooling. It's OK to help; but don't assume the entire burden. That's unfair to you and unrealistic.

How should a software engineer go about finding a new job in the Bay Area?

I might be biased, but I am part of the management team at Jobspring Partners San Francisco, and we specialize in placing engineers here in the Bay Area as well as Silicon Valley.  If you're employed and looking for a new opportunity, you should find one recruiter you trust and have them be essentially a consultant for you.  They will reach out to companies on your behalf and will send you on multiple interviews, while still respecting your privacy and your current employer. Here at Jobspring we work on teams that are specialized by technology.  Depending on what programming language you work with, you will have a 6-person team of recruiters all actively pursuing jobs that you'll be interested in.  We will sell your background directly to the hiring managers and will set up your interviews in a timely manner. You can of course choose any recruiter that suits you, but Jobspring Partners should be your first stop.  Check out our reviews on Yelp: Jobspring PartnersAnd the National Meetup we host, #TechinMotion: Tech in Motion: San FranciscoWe can definitely help you find a new job.

Advice on working while pregnant?

I think you should try to find something else.
Im sure there are other Call Centers in your area that you can find.
Try to see if they have a Alorica or Convergys in your area or search on indeed.com
You need that time after birth to bond with your baby.
They dont call it "labor" for no reason, you're going to be exhausted and you need that time to rest and that sounds like it would be extra stress.
