Facebook friend request is not working? please help?
it sounds to me like you sent a request to someone you dont actually know in real life, and they clicked on the "i dont know this person" link in your request facebook limits what you can do then, because you are breaking the rules

I have an iPhone with the IOS 5 version and new Facebook mobile. The friend request is saying I have one notification and when I open it, it doesn't have anything and it won't go away. It's bothering me. Please help so I can figure out how to fix it?

It is, unfortunately, a glitch with Facebook. Many people have this same question, but Facebook appears to of archived the questions on thier website, which means they are not going to fix it. This is a glitch and if that person, for some reason, accepts it, you will need to unfriend them immediately, for obvious reasons.

Some of these answers are so mature...not! I suppose some just try to get points and not be helpful. Also, there is nothing wrong with getting different opinions on problems, especially since the Facebook site is such a mess. Thanks to the people are are really trying to be helpful. I have restarted Facebook and my computer both, so hopefully one day the mistake will go away on its own, eh? :-) I just thought there might be a setting I could try.
Is it me or this a Facebook glitch where people do not see friend requests?
I've sent a few requests out in the past and some go a few months without answering it. I know they were online, because if you sent a person a request, they'll appear in your news feed if they add someone as a friend or if they like a certain page. Lately, one of the people I sent a request to added someone as a friend. How could they add one person, but not me? This is not just a one time occurrence either. Has anyone had a problem like this? This is confounding to me. I understand the person not going on Facebook for weeks or maybe even months at a time, but for them to update their page or even add others as a friend, mutual friends too, if that makes a difference, and don't bother to do anything about my request makes me think there may be an error somewhere that is causing at least my request not to go through.
