Friend Stealing Money From Me

Friend stealing money from me?

Last night me, my boyfriend, and best friend were all watching a movie in my best friend's basement. My boyfriend dared me to do a split, which I accepted, and as a joke he picked up my wallet and took the money in it out and threw it at me like "make it rain." We were just messing around. We all sat down to collect the money and put it back in my wallet and my best friend picked up about twenty bucks and turned around and then sat back down. I asked her what she did with the twenty and she said she threw it back into the pile, so i figured i had just been distracted and not seen her do that. i didn't think she would steal from me, much less do it in the same room as me. later i was recounting and noticed that twenty bucks was indeed missing. i was in her room looking for deodorant and i opened a drawer and saw a twenty dollar bill, but i didn't want to accuse her of anything, so i asked her if she had seen my twenty as it was missing after last night. she said no, but that she would go search the basement, and i said ok and went to the bathroom. about five minutes later she told me she didn't find anything but that i could go search the basement and i said okay, well sure enough i found the twenty. when i went back into her room and went to the same drawer, sure enough, the twenty that was in there was gone.

i am fairly certain she took my money. i know it's only $20 but it was money i just got for my birthday, and she is my absolute best friend in the entire world. i don't want to believe my best friend would steal from me, but i guess she is. is there anything i should do? what should i say to her?

What to do when a 'friend' steals your money?

people who treat you like this are not your friend and you are not theirs you are just another opportunity for them to rob you. if you stay in the friendship you are telling your so-called 'friend' that you condone her behavior and you give them non-verbal permission to use you like a dog whenever she wants.

get out, NOW

not everyone is untrustworthy. damn that girl!

all my best.

I think my best friend is stealing money from me, what should I do?

I have known my best friend "G" since the fourth grade. For the past year I been losing money out of my wallet and only recently have I thought it was her. Yesterday night we had a sleepover. I checked my wallet before I went over I had 28 dollars (a twenty, a five and three ones). I left my purse in her room (which is normally what I do). She went in to "change her shirt," but she didn't. She told me she changed her mind. So later that night we went to the a diner. I went to pay and discover I only had a twenty and two ones. After we paid I asked her if she wanted to do anything else and she said she was flat broke. Later that night she open her dresser to get out PJs and left it open. While she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth I went to close the dresser, only to find a 5 dollar bill and an one sitting in her dresser. I have suspected her of stealing my money for a while now, but not sure if she was the one doing it. What should I do?

What can I do if my boyfriend steals money from me?

I would suggest that you know the answer to this question and just don’t like it.If someone has committed a crime against you, you can report it to the police and have that person prosecuted. If someone in a supposedly trust-based relationship with you has taken advantage of that relationship to steal from you, you can and should end the relationship.Your only other alternative is to choose to remain a victim, stay in the relationship and wait to see how he harms you next.

What do I do if my best friend is stealing from me?

First or all, are you really sure they are stealing from you? Such an accusation can end your friendship forever. If they do, I think the question should be why she or he is stealing from you. It could be kleptomania (a mental disorder/an addiction which makes you steal stuff for no reason), they could be in need (which is a poor excuse, but you never know). If you are sure, you should definitely ask them without being too exposing in a derogatory way. Tell them about the symptoms (your things that disappeared in certain circumstances) and see their reaction. I wouldn’t recommend you to be in an accusing mode, at least not if you cherish your friendship and they seem to feel the same way, too. Talk about it and be understanding and supportive.

I stole money from my friend and I'm feeling really bad about it. What should I do?

I think my friend stole money from me?

I'm the type of person of when you do me dirty once I can't look at you the same ever again and I confronted her and she said I probably dropped it somewhere in the car and I looked everywhere in the car and it wasn't anywhere to be found, last time I seen it was like 10 or 20 mins ago, we were driving that long and stopped at Mcdonalds for food, I saw a 10 and a 5 in my wallet and spent 5 and then not long after that went to Dairy Queen for a drink and the 10 was gone. The 10 in my wallet was actually from her in the first place for gas money so I think she was just trying to jip me on gas. I really just want to avoid her now but I already bought a plane ticket and hotel costs for four days for our trip to NY what can I do? We bought this as a package so I can't just cancel it. What to do til then? HELP PLEASE!
