From Anorexic To Obese

GUYS: anorexic or obese girls?

Hmmm, id say an obese girl. Main reason is because, the eating disorder has more to do with outside influences, like depression, bad relationship with parents, sadness, anger etc. Anorexic girls have the eating disorder originating from selfishness, like they never think they are satisfied with themselves, they just keep getting thinner and thinner.

From anorexic to obese?

Last year I was 82lbs and now I am tipping the scale at 395..... I am 19 and 5'6. I am huge and no one believes I had an eating disorder. I went from a 00 to a pants size of 30 and shirt size of 4X... Why do people always judge a fat person more than they do an anorexic. I don't know what to do. I want weight loss surgery. I can't deal with being this large. I can't even drive my car because my stomach is so large I can't fit in my seat. I work with an with a lot of men and they used to call me bones and now all they do is make fun of how fat I am. I know I am extremely large. My boyfriend dumped me because I am too fat to have sex with and because I looked so nasty naked. My stomach is huge and I am can't deal any more. What should I do. Would weight loss surgery help?! I have tried diet and exercise but I just am not losing weight.

Can obese people be anorexic?

This is from Button Poetry,“If you develop an eating disorder when you are already thin to begin with, you to go the hospital. If you develop an eating disorder when you are not thin to begin with, you are a success story.”“The day I was refused for treatment, they told me there was no outward evidence of my illness.”So yes. Anorexia is about thoughts and eating patterns. It's all about the severity and where it will lead. The difference is how close you get to a dangerous weight, although you can be in danger even at a normal weight.

What is it like to go from obese to anorexic?

it feels like a lot of things. im assuming you mean underweight by anorexic. you can have anorexia & also be obese. personally, it was euphoric. every single pound i would shed off, i would be overjoyed and almost get a high, but it would only last around a day. i had to keep going. if i ate and didnt keep going, i felt guilt, disgust, and felt like a failure. after a while of restricting, i began to hate myself more and more, feeling like i was getting fatter and fatter, even though i looked like i was dying and my face was extremely sunken in. i began to physically feel ill, constantly tired, heart rate at 80 bpm, i could barely walk, my lips and skin were so extremely dry, very constipated, my hair was falling out in big chunks, covered in bruises and hair, constantly cold, skin turning yellow & my nails turning purple, getting violently sick if i did eat. overall theres way more negative feelings than positive, yet once you struggle with it, its nearly impossible to stop, even with all the side effects. skinny enough doesnt exist in the mind of an anorexic.

What's worse anorexic or obese?[[survey]]?

Alright, first you have to expel the belief that gaining weight is easy for everyone. Many, many people have a huge amount of trouble putting on weight. Saying "it's easy to eat" is the same as saying "it's easy to not eat".
Also, people can have mental and emotional problems that push them to either eat too much or eat too little. Strangely enough they are usually the same problems and people just choose to handle them differently. Neither are healthy for you, but honestly eating too little I feel is worse because your body starts to eat itself if it doesn't get food.

A good question.

What is worse for your health: being obese or anorexic?

Anorexia is the worse for the health. First of all is a mental disorder. you can be both obese and anorexic. what you mean is "is being obese or extremely underweight worse?" anorexia is commonly characterized by being severely underweight but that isn't always the case, but to answer your question. extreme cases of anorexia would be much worse than being obese. morbidly obese even is a bit healthier.Anorexia causes your hair to fall out, osteoporosis, tooth decay, it makes you dizzy, and its the most deadly mental disorder known, even treated your likelihood of becoming pregnant is slim and your life span decreases about 14 years. obesity doesn't compare, but can cause diabetes and other things which can make it deadly. either way, wouldn't recommend either.

Can a morbidly obese person be anorexic?

Yes, they can still become anorexic. Even very severely obese people can become underweight due to anorexia. It is not as likely for obese people to become underweight by starving themselves, but it can happen. Keep in mind that a person is anorexic if he/she is 1) trying to lose weight or prevent weight gain and 2) more than half way from healthy to severely underweight, including severely and very severely underweight. Even if a person is losing weight healthfully, he/she could still be considered anorexic if he/she meets both of these signs, although people with anorexia usually lose weight unhealthfully — by starving themselves. However, even healthy weight loss is unhealthy if it results in anorexia. However, people with only one of these signs are not at all anorexic.
