Full Metal Alchemist Vs Fma Brother Hood

Full Metal Alchemist or Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood?

I wanna start watching Full Metal Alchemist but I know if i should watch Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood instead. What’s the difference between the two, and which one should I watch?

What comes after full metal alchemist brotherhood?

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a complete story- it follows the original manga/comic plot more closely than the TV series but it ends the main FMA storyline. All of the main protagonists are alive, but the main antagonist was defeated. There is supposed to be a second film according to final episode of Brotherhood.

What should I watch: Fullmetal Alchemist or FMA: Brotherhood?

The choice between the 2 depends mainly on what you look for in a story. In a nutshell, FMA has more to do with heart wrenching character development moments balanced with a caustic sense of humor and muted battle scenes, while FMA - Brotherhood stays true to the manga and epitomises a good shounen anime, with its flashy, dramatic fight sequences and incorrigible monsters (I'm looking at you, Sloth).Personally I prefer the former and therefore recommend watching Fullmetal Alchemist due to these reasons:Spectacular story telling: Side stories like the “other brothers Elric” and “A forger's love”, temper out the main story and give us deeper insights into the Elrics' personality. Sure, it's not faithful to the manga, but these stories have heart. The explanation around what the “Gate” really is, (afraid I can't say more without spoiling it for you) will blow your mind- it's the premise for the movie conclusion to the series. And the identity of Sloth in the Fullmetal Alchemist rendition is fearfully unsettling. FMA -Brotherhood shows this character completely differently which was a minor letdown for me.Meaningful Homunculi characterisations - to give an example:Pride in FMA :Pride in FMA :BrotherhoodThat little boy will never be “PRIDE” Fantastic voice acting: Okay, so this one's just based on my opinion of the English dub of the anime- Vic Mignogna and Aaron Dismuke. Respect. You need to see FMA and hear them say their lines to understand this one. One quora answer can't do enough justice.Real world parallels: FMA references the Thule society, alternate universes, and space travel and the World War in a much more relatable manner than Brotherhood. Gets your inner geek to draw those lines and marvel at the cheeky interpretation.Awesome villains: Personally, I think Brotherhood was somewhat incomplete without Dante/Lyra. Their motivations and backstories seem far more fitting to the universe than the Big Bad in Brotherhood.The identity of the homunculi: Envy's real identity in FMA strikes a much deeper emotional chord than in Brotherhood. And the epic reveal of this aspect will leave you breathless.As I've said before, watch FMA only if the above points have piqued your interest.FMA was one of those anime that and me analysing the exchanges between characters for days at a time while Brotherhood had me waiting for the next big battle between the good guys and the bad guys.Hope that makes it easier for you to choose.Cheers!

Full metal alchemist brotherhood vs naruto?

Now FMA is much much better than Naruto of fillers..lets compare them
--both of the protagonist means Naruto and Ed/Al Elric have a very tragic past but at least Ed is chasing something meaningful means the body of his younger brother and his own whereas Naruto is all about Sasuke/Sauske and more Suxgay.
--characters of both series r strong but now Naruto only focus on Sasuke.
--even with the fillers in first season FMA was million times better than Naruto.
--comical part of FMA is hilarious whereas in Naruto its repetitive and boring.

I rate Naruto as an anime-->5/10
as an manga------>7/10

Full metal alchemist anime---->8/10
FMA manga------>8/10

Why is FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) Brotherhood considered as a matured show?

I started watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and I saw TV MA on the top. I know it has some bad words and violence but it is normally the same as the original FMA and the original FMA was TV PG or TV 14. Why is this?

Is Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood still an on going series?

I just recently got into full metal alchemist. I'm nearly done with the regular storyline and about to move on to FMA brotherhood. I'm going to get it on netflix and I realized that there are 52 episodes in all. Is that it? Is it an on going series still. They show new episodes on adult swim, but those arn't technically new episodes.

Dragonball Z vs Full Metal Alchemist vs FMA Brotherhood vs Death Note?

Should I watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood first or the old series?

I watched both the series as they came out, Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) in 2003 and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Brotherhood) in 2009.I am biased since I saw FMA first and given that the character development in that series is the best (in my opinion), I’d suggest you watch it FIRST.It is also a great example of how the makers did exceedingly well keeping true to the character’s story and overall message without the original source material (which was incomplete during the series run).Brotherhood is also extremely well done and is faithful to the original manga (which may be a deciding factor for you).However, FMA exists and since the makers may have assumed that most fans must have already seen the first series, they cut out a lot of the meandering plots and one-shot characters - which added depth to the protagonists journey and overall plot message.One point to note is that Brotherhood has better animation in terms of effects when performing alchemy and the colour quality. This is expected given the process improvements between ’03 and ’09, however, there is nothing to complain about with FMA - it is as beautifully done.In terms of soundtrack, again both are on par; however despite my preference for FMA in all other areas I have to admit that Brotherhood’s soundtrack had me was a tad bit more emotional. (This may change on another date - I keep swinging sides)I suggest you watch both for a full experience. But if you’re short of time the two main considerations are:1. FMA has rich character developments and anecdotes - but the ending is original i.e. TV-only.v/s2. Brotherhood sticks to the manga - but cuts off many events/characters deemed ‘expendable’.
