What do you do on Christmas/Christmas Eve?

Every christmas eve, my parents, my sister and me go around to visit some family, then by the time we get home it's like midnight, so me and my sister go to sleep.
Christmas day. We wake up, open stocking, open gifts. Play a bit. Then christmas dinner with some more family

---> SOME FUN THINGS TO DO FOR CHRISTMAS? IDEAS? PLEASE...?

Over the christmas holidays (before christmas day) for some random reason i always get out the video recorder and record lots of video's so i can look back at them when im older.
I also go christmas shopping with my mum and i usually have a christmas sleepover with my friend and we sing christmas songs and its really fun!

Christmas eve is the best though cause i got to my friends house every year and we play games and then we randomly jump up and down and run around so we get really tired so its easy for us to get to sleep. Then when its like 7pm onwards i sit and watch christmas films on the telly, like last year i watched the polar express.

More idea's that you could do is make christmas decorations for your bedroom like make paper snowflakes and stick them all over your walls. Or you could prepare anywhere in the house for christmas!

ive just turned 15 and i still love preparing things for christmas... and if you do still get bored after all my idea's, there's always bound to be some legendary christmas film on tv.

I hoped this has helped a bit. Have fun! x

Do you have Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas day?

We have steak or prime rib on Christmas Eve at my grandparents. After supper we all go caroling to homes we know. Then we open presents from my grandparents and aunt and uncle. Then usually head over for midnight mass. On Christmas morning we go to mom and dads for breakfast and exchange gifts there. Then we all head up to my aunts to hang out. We eat around 2 or 3 there. Then we go to my boyfriends family's house. The day after we go to my dads mothers house and so do his 4 sister's and their families. We eat there too. Way too many people there, we draw names so everybody gets one thing and stuff from grandma. Sounds exhausting - doesn't it? My favorite part is Christmas Eve - the night is so magical!

*I love watching my little cousins open gifts on Christmas Eve - they get so excited, it's nice to tide them over til Santa comes the next morning :)

How to make christmas eve go by faster?

I think to make the day go by faster is to do something outside of the house where you may not have too much access to a clock. If you stay home all day you'll be continuously looking at the clock! I say tomorrow morning lay in bed for as long as you possibly can without looking at the time. Then take a long shower, just make everything you do longer than it should be. Maybe you could go to the mall and do stuff, or have shovel snow or do chores, clean your room, pick out fun clothes to wear and do different hairstyles. For the night, find a show you haven't watched a whole season of and watch that whole season! Or watch some christmas-themed family comedies. Those are always fun!

What do you do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

On christmas eve my family goes to church and we always go out to eat before or after. When we get home we always traditionally bake christmas cookies and watch christmas specials on t.v. When it is time to go to bed we pray and thank the Lord for being born to wash way our sins.

On Christmas day my family and I wake up early and open our gifts. We always have a delicious breakfast with my mom's special christmas hot-chocolate or tea. After that we usually have fun with our new items that we received. Next we go to Chicago and we go to our dad's side of the family to celebrate then we go over to our mom's side of the family where we usually end up spending the night.

I love Christmas and every year is memorable.

What's a cheap, fun thing I can give my mother for Christmas?

So I’m not sure how old you are, or how old your mother is…but I would consider possibly baking something for your mom, as I’m sure that would probably really surprise her!! There is a ton of different wonderful baked goods that you can make, or sweet treats that you can put in a really nice jar too!! My dad makes each of my siblings and I homemade Maple Cream (it’s like a fudge but wayyy better) each and every year for Christmas now!! It’s one of the BEST and most looked forward to Christmas gifts for all of us!! Not sure where you live, but “Paint Night” is becoming a huge thing around where I live!! You pick a location that is local to where you live and book a seating for (in your case 2). When you go to the location (usually a local pub, or eatery) they have a professional artist on hand to teach everyone how to paint a picture that looks professional looking!! I have many friends that have done this (both male and female, kids with parents too). If you google “Paint Night” and your home city it should pop up some in your area!! I’m sure that would probably surprise your mom!! Now, if you want to go on the sentiment side of gifts then you could write her a letter/poem from the heart and frame it, or slide it into a nice book or memoir book that you could buy her as a new diary or date book. You could put together an album/scrap book full of memories that you’ve shared, along with family pics etc. That would surely tug at her heart strings too!! Hope this helps with some ideas for you!! Merry Christmas!! :-)

What is your plan for Christmas?

What I am planning for Christmas? Where to start… I suppose a brief overview of my personal family traditions would be in order.Christmas is one of the most hectic times of year for my husband and I. To start, we both have divorced parents who have remarried. Instead of Christmas with his side, and then Christmas with mine, we have 5 different “Christmas” celebrations within one week. This is mostly due to us having to attend with each side separately since it is impossible to coordinate so many different schedules and preferences. The main events would be Christmas Eve. We always spend the evening with my mother and step father. After dinner we go home and put our kids to sleep. (Our daughter is 7, our son is 12) Around midnite we wrap any leftover gifts up and place everything under the tree as well as stuff the stockings. This has to be one of my favorite things about Christmas. It’s only a couple hours that my husband and I have together alone, but spending that time near the tree and decorations before the morning chaos ensues is everything to me.Christmas Day this year is going to be exciting. It will be the first day I host Christmas dinner in our new house. Hopefully my husbands side will all come. We cook a traditional American Christmas dinner of ham and sides, with lots of cookies, sweets and pie of course. After the company leaves and we are left with the aftermath of gifts and dishes, I may be the happiest I have ever been knowing I was blessed enough to have a family to clean up after. What are you planning? Anything different this year than you normally do?
