Gaining Weight On 1200 Calories

If I go from eating 500 calories to eating 1200 will I gain weight?

I want to be as compassionate as possible in this answer, because I’m aware that a person interested in the question as stated may have a problem with their relationship with food and body image. At 1200 calories, you will starve to death more slowly than at 500. A tiny adult female would squeak by at 1500–1700 Cal, with little to spare for walking around. A moderately sized (5′4 and 150lb) female with a typical, relatively sedentary lifestyle would maintain at about 2200 - 2400. If that seems like a huge number, please consider talking to a doctor about your feelings and lifestyle.

Will I gain weight if I go from 1,000 calories to 1,200?

It really depends on what you're eating. You can gradually up your calorie intake while working out properly. If you're eating a balanced diet, you won't gain as much compared to if you are eating junk. Eating junk can easily increase your calories and you will be gaining the wrong kind of fat, like saturated fat. Some fats are more stubborn, meaning they aren't easy to break down and saturated fat is one of them.

Will eating 3000 calories once a week make me gain weight?

I eat 1200 calories 6x a week and do 40 minutes of cardio 7x a week, plus situps everyday. I have a "cheat meal" once a week where i go to a buffet and probably consume 3000 calories. I haven't gained weight, and i've done this for a couple weeks now.

If I keep doing the same every week will I gain weight? I'm 5'1 and 91 pounds if that helps any.

Will I gain weight on 1,200 calories if my BMR is 1,100 and I'm almost 15?

I'm slowly recovering from an eating disorder. I used to have anorexia. I'm weight restored now and doing a bit better and conquering fear foods. I can't exercise since they say I'm not aloud to and plus it makes me bones hurt since I have weaker bones now.

I'm turning 15 in january. I developed my eating disorder when I was 13 and I have a bone health problem already so they weakend quite a bit.
I'm 4'2 and now up to 70 pounds. they made me gain 10 pounds. I have no idea how many calories I should be eating which made me worry and start restricting again. Of course I eat very healthy. I've heard from some health websites that since I'm a teen, 1,500-2,000 calories a day should be ok? I'm just very scared I'll keep gaining x

If I go from eating 980 calories to 1200 am I going to gain weight back that I lost?

I started eating 980 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week and I have been losing! But I read today that it's unhealthy to eat less than 1200 calories for a woman. If I start eating 1200 now after only eating 980 a day for a few weeks, am I going to start gaining weight back or will I just lose slower than I was?

Will I gain weight if I eat 1,200 calories a day?

1200 calories is pretty much “starvation”. To lose weight healthily you should aim for 10–20% lower calories than normal, so 1800–2500 a day, depending on who you are. If you need to gain weight, aim for similarly more than normal. If you think you are gaining weight on 1200 a day, then either you’re mistaken, or your body in in hard starvation mode. In both cases you need to eat more, and possibly see a doctor or proper dietitian.

I Eat 1200 Calories a day...Why Am I Gaining?

Hey, I'm a 15 year old girl, and for the past year I've been trying to lose a lot of weight. (I'm 5'7" and 220 lbs) Anyways I eat 1200 calories, maybe 1 or 2 sweets a week, and I have gym 4 days a week for an hour and 2 days a week walk home from school a little more than a mile.
I'm not losing weight though! Actually, I've gained 3 pounds within 2 months. Why is this happening? I try not to skip meals and i don't stave myself...
Thank you!

Will eating 3000 calories once a week make me gain weight?

I eat 1200 calories 6 days a week and do 30 minutes of cardio 6x a week plus dance classes. I've been losing weight and today there was a chuch function i attended and probably consumed about 1200 calories for lunch! I don't really feel guilty or any desires to purge (I was bulimic for a few months) but I just want to know if I'll gain any weight if I eat about 3000 calories today?

I'm going to eat a healthy dinner but after that I'm going to a party where fattening snacks will be and I will eat some, so don't say like "bring you're own snacks" or "don't eat at the party" because it won't work. I just want to know if I will gain weight, plain and simple.

btw I'm 5'4" 114 lbs, if that helps at all.
