Will the "Green New Deal" have any effect on the climate? If not, then what's the point? Wouldn't it be a better idea to save money and focus on the economy?

I think there are better, more effective, less intrusive ways to keep pollution under control. We won’t get rid of it totally, but it can be kept under control. What seems significant to me, that climate alarmists don’t ever mention, are a few things:Water covers 73% of the earth’s surface and it absorbs heat and CO2 - the two things people are most concerned about;Trees cleanse the air and produce oxygen and there are 8 times more of them than the best estimate before satellite imaging - 3 trillion when it was thought that there were only about 400 million. Earth's trees number 'three trillion'People live on only about 10% of the land’s surface, which is only 27% of the earth’s surface. Pollution is only made on a small part of that. In the US alone, pollution is produced in or near cities (seven of the eleven most polluted areas are in California - 11 U.S. Cities With the Worst Air Pollution) and they cover a very small portion of America’s land. The rest of the country - farming country, mountains and swampy areas don’t produce pollution (unless you’re worried about cow flatulence, which I’m not). This article - How Much of the World is Covered by Cities? - says that only 2.7% of the earth’s land is urban; only 2.6% of US land. It seems to me that it’s safe to believe that all the cleansing water, air and trees can handle it.Fear grows easily and diminishes slowly. Only believe what you read from those who encourage fear with a large grain of salt. And do research to find out what opponents of those fears believe and why.
