Geometry Math Question!?

I have tried to figure this out. Can anyone help me get the answer. How did you get it?

A television screen measures approximately 15.5 inches high and 19.5 inches wide. A television is advertised by giving the approximate length of the diagonal of its screen. How should the size of this television be advertised?

Math question geometry.?

Joel is laying a pipe for a sprinkler system before he plants his lawn. The lawn is a rectangle, 15 feet long and 8 feet wide. He needs to lay a piece of pipe that will be run along the diagonal of the lawn. It will divide the area of the lawn into two right triangles. What will the length of that diagonal piece of pipe?

Geometry Math Question?

In tennis, the length of a doubles court and a singles court are the same, but the width of a doubles court is 9 feet greater than that of a singles court. The length of a singles court is 6 fee greater than twice the width of a doubles court and the width of a singles court is 1 foot greater than 1/3 the length of a doubles court. What are the dimensions of a doubles court?

Geometry math question HELP! plz.?

the circumference of 7.85 is a quarter of a circle so:
4(circumference)=pi*d
4(7.85)=pi*d
d=4(7.85)/pi=9.9949cm = aprox. 10cm
r=d/2 = 9.9949/2 = 4.997cm = aprox 5cm.

A=(pi*r^2)/4 for a quarter

A=(pi*4.997^2)/4 = 78.4529/4 = 19.6132 cm^2

Math question: different geometry question!?

I get 48.

Let the points of tangency on sides XY, YZ, WZ and WX be A, B, C and D respectively
and let the center of the circle be O.

Tangents meet radii at right-angles, so
∠A = 90º
∠B = 90º
∠C = 90º and
∠D = 90º

Since ∠X = 90º, ∠A = 90º, ∠D = 90º
We get ∠AOD = 90º.
Also since AO = BO = 5 (radii) , AODX is a square
Hence AX = DX = 5

Similarly, CODW is a square and CW = DW = 5

We also know that AY = BY (I can't remember the name of the theorem)
and BZ = CZ

So, AY + BY + BZ+ CA
= 2(BY + BZ)
= 2(YZ) = 2*14 = 28

So, our total perimeter is CW + DW + DX + AX + (AY + BY + BZ + CZ)
= 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 28
= 48

Geometry Math Question Please take a look!?

since the kite is straight up from the ground right below it you can imagine it is a right triangle.
therefore you can use the sin identinty of opposite over hypotenuse since we know the angle and the length of the hypotenuse

sin x = a/c
sin40 = a/30
30*(sin40)=a
then you also have to figure in that she is 2 meters off the ground so your final height for the kite would be (a + 2) i dont have a calculator near me but it wouldnt be that hard to type into your calculator...

I want to ask a geometry question (math) in Quora. How can I do that?

Ask away — there are many geometry questions already out there.Geometry questions can be tricky to pose in words. I would recommend taking some care to make a ‘summary’ question that encapsulates what you’re trying to ask without getting into the detail — use that as the main question that you ask, and then edit the question details and put the specific detail into there. The summary question can only be words (including math mark-up), but the details can contain all normal quora mark-up: paragraph and text styles, lists, bullets, math mark-up AND pictures — so, if your question would be clearer or needs to refer to a diagram, draw up the diagram in your favourite drawing package and add it to your question. Or draw it neatly with pencil and paper and upload a photograph!

Help! math (algebra-geometry/math b) question?

(3/4)^2 x= 64/27
square the left side to get (9/16)x = 64/27
multiply both sides by 16 to get 9x = 1024/27
multiply both sides by 27 to get 243x = 1024
divide both sides by 243 to get x = 1024/243 or 4.21

Only 4 math (geometry) questions lease help me. It would mean a lot.?

Compare and contrast Euclidean geometry and spherical geometry. Be sure to include these points:
