Getting rid of a Scar from waxing?

Your skin will heal itself, the face has a lot of blood vessels. Just be patient. In the meantime, always keep the area clean and apply an antibacterial topical to prevent it from getting infected.

How to get rid of a waxing scar?

Dear Kitty,

You can purchase a bleaching cream (skin lightener) from the from the cosmetic section of any drugstore or department store. You can also try the home remedy of applying lemon juice to the darkened skin once or twice a day. You may be able to speed the lightening process with the skin lightener but, even left on its own, the scar will probably fade in 6 months or so.

I imagine what you have is a flat darkening of the skin, not actual "scar" tissue, right? If you really have scar tissue, you can purchase Mederma which will help break down the scar tissue.

You might consider bleaching your facial hair in the future, or investigating lazer hair removal (which does work). If you continue waxing, the hairs will continue to grow back stronger and thicker. We all have some peach fuzz on our faces and when you use peel off masks, or waxing, you remove the offending hairs AND the peach fuzz that we are supposed to have on our faces to protect us from wind and sun. Now ALL the hairs will grow back thicker and probably darker. (Just think the hairs like a plant, if you cut it off, it will just work harder to grow itself back bigger and better than before.)

I am so sorry this has happened to you but it will get better in time.

How do you get rid of scars left by wax burns ( on the face )?

Do i ask?
I use bio oil for my scars... no they are not wax burn scars, I've only used it a couple of times and the scars are.. less predominant, the scars are a few years old.
There are other products for scars, try the chemist/pharmacist.
You can go online and search for suitable products if you're not willing to go in store. But in store someone would be able to see what was being dealt with.
Bio oil was my cheaper option, i cant recall the others. It contains PurCellin Oil which is meant to be a "breakthrough ingredient".
Go to www.bio-oil.info and check if it's safe.
I think if the burns are old enough to be scars that aren't sensitive it would be ok... but I'm guessing.
Bio oil is for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing skin, dehydrated skin.
So you may find a product solely for scars (from burns)?

How do I get rid of a skin burn after the waxing upper lip?

Avoiding Skin Burns - don’t apply wax when it’s burning hot. If you can adjust the temperature, turn it down a notch. Test the temperature of the wax on the back of your wrist before applying. Also, try using a thin layer because a thick layer of wax can remove the top layer of the skin.Get to Some Water - apply cool water as soon as possible to the burned area for 5–10 minutes. Depending on where you waxed, try using running water, a bathtub or a damp washcloth.Ice It - apply ice to the affected area to reduce pain and swelling. Wrap the ice in a paper towel or washcloth to avoid putting it directly on the burn. *If the skin is broken or blistered, seek medical attention.Aloe is Key - use pure aloe gel out of the leaf or from a trustworthy brand. Gently apply the aloe to the affected area and pat it on. Use as needed to soothe the burn. *Refridgerate the aloe gel for a more soothing and cooling effect.Protect the Skin - use a bandage or a dressing to avoid further irritating the burn. Allow the skin to breathe often and replace with a clean bandage afterwards.Take Some Mecicine - NSAIDS and acetaminophen are good options if you’re in pain and have some swelling. NSAIDS, like Advil or Naproxen, will help reduce any residual pain or inflammation from the burn. Acetaminophen is more gentle on the stomach but will also help with the pain.

Is it safe to wax over a scar?

Has the scar fully healed? If so, yes. Healed scar tissue is as tough as skin. That's why women who have had c-sections can continue to have babies.

Liquid latex vs scar wax?

I've never heard of scar wax, but liquid latex works really well. I used it for a zombie costume last year for comiccon.
A couple good tricks:
Make a thick layer of liquid latex on your arm or wherever, then carefully pull it so the edges are still on you, but there is a pocket. Then shove strawberry jelly in there.
Also, to make bumps and stuff, use toilet paper. Just put a layer of liquid latex, then some ripped and clumped toilet paper, then another layer. Putting some sort of scab looking stuff over it will make it look more real. Again, strawberry jelly would work for this.[=
If you go on YouTube, I bet they have a ton of other tricks with the latex.

RED MARKS ON CHEEK AFTER WAXING?!?

Ice! then conceal like nobodies buissness. stop with the lotion, use petrolium jellie instead.
