Christmas gift ideas for a 16 year old girl?
First off, ask her what she wants. As an almost 16-year old, there's lots of stuff I'd like. So ask! If she says she's not sure, the best bet is money. Money gives her the option to save, or spend on something that she'd really like. If you don't believe in giving money for Christmas, and if she wears jewelry, there's your next option. You have to look at the kind of things she wears already. I like classic simple things, like the Elsa Peretti (spelling?) hearts from Tiffany. But my best friend likes more flashy things, like a diamond LV logo on a chain. I wear simple stud earrings of gemstones, and my other best friend has cute things, like buttons or dangly earrings. Just don't get her clothing. You don't know her style as well as she does. And she'd have to try on the clothes in the first place to see if she likes them or if they work well. If you want to get her something clothes related, get her a gift card to a store she shops at a lot. Does she watch a lot of movies? Buy her some DVDs, or her favourite TV show. If she's always listening to her iTouch, you could get her an iTunes gift card for the songs she can't download. If she goes to the movies a lot, you can buy movie passes that you can use any time. Does she like pampering herself? Get her a spa-day pass, and if you've got the space in your budget, a pass so she can take a friend, or even you. Here's something that has a little bit of everything. Get a cute basket, or even better, a tote bag that she can use for everyday use. Stick some of her favourite snacks in it, like popcorn, Junior Mints, chocolate bars, etc. Find a movie you liked from your childhood, one she might not have seen. (If you've got a daughter my age, I'm going to assume you watched movies like Pretty in Pink, the Breakfast Club, Fame, Footloose, etc) Get her one of those movies. Stick a few nail polishes in. Pick some giftcards for shops like Starbucks, Dairy Queen, movie theatres, Barnes and Noble (or whatever bookstore you've got). Only put $10 on each so that you can put a lot of different cards in there. Add some other things she likes, like a pretty journal, hair clips, or things she uses everyday. Is there any kind of makeup she doesn't have that she wants? Any TV show she likes that isn't on tv anymore? Usually walmart has tons of dvds of old tv shows. Make her a nice friendship bracelet. Get some beads and embroidery floss, and look up some designs for it. Jewelry? Necklaces, rings, bracelets... depends what she likes and what you want to get her. Charm bracelet? Those are always nice, she can add little charms to it when she wants to. hmmmm, does she have any piercings, such as nose, bellybutton, ears, anything really? if she does you can always get her some jewelry for that. If she does, make sure you find out the gauge size and think about the length of it before you get it. Thats all I got for now. Good luck :)

Well, at 17, people are often stressed. Girls or boys. I would give her something fun and interesting. It doesn’t have to be spa stuff or beauty supplies, because not everyone enjoys that. I would get her something she can do with friends and/or family. Not like a board game. Something like a $50 gift card that you know she and her friends love to go to. You also get her something you know she’s passionate about. Loves writing? Great. Buy her a book of prompts, a big fat notebook, and a G2 pen. Enjoys skateboarding? Buy her a rib-stick or a longboard. My advise for gifting is always buy something they would love to have, but would have to go out of their way to buy it themselves. That way, it really feels like a special treat.
