Girl got me a birthday present?
I was talking with a friend of mine, this girl I really really like...and I had mentioned that my birthday was going to be the next day. And she said..'why didn't you tell me..I'm going to get you something' (not word for word, but basically that). I told her she didn't have to at all. she smiled, and said 'but I WANT to'... and two days later when she saw me at church she gave me her present...a funny card she made..and a t-shirt (the t-shirt was an inside joke..long story..lol). does her gift mean anything? do you think she likes me? (I suspect she might. and some friends think she does based on how she acts around me.) or is she just being nice?? I just thought that was just sooo incredibly sweet and thoughtful of her...and her gift meant like..a ton to me...cause it was completely unexpected and all...and so sweet..and like...my heart melted..lol (and I'm not even much of a gift-receiving person in the first place) or am I just wishfully thinking? I don't know. I'm trying to be rational here..but..given my emotions here...it's..hard. haha

this is really weird, but my friend got me my favorite cereal this year (2 boxes!) and put an inside joke on the wrapping paper. Try to get her something really special; maybe a little more than cereal, but my point is that it doesnt have to be expensive. if she likes cooking, how about a babycakes maker? they sell mini cake pop makers, donut makers, pie pop makers, cupccake makers.... or maybe a huge stuffed animal of her favorite animal? ...you can also put together a collage (i know this might be cheesy) of all your memories together. you can also try something from sephora, like those little fragrance sampler kits where you get her 4 different rollerballs of perfume and she can send back a little card to sephora saying which one she wants the full thing of. maybe fair ivy? fair ivy is a thing where you can subscribe for 3months, 6 months, or a year and you get a few gifts in a package each month. It's really fun and the gifts are very cool! or look at the pillow pets website. they have so many and many are very cute! a new phone case, maybe? a homemade little card saying you guys will shop till you drop at the mall? that would be fun, and say you'll pay the first $50 she spends. The ideas are endless. i'll add more when i think of them, but i hope i helped! :)

thx for all the answers guys but i need something better. Not gift cards or vouchers or coupons or w/e, firstly because i think those r too common, 2nd i don't know where to buy gift cards or vouchers for any clothing stores. Plus, i don't even know what store she likes to shop at, i don't FULLY know her at all.........i like the idea of making a bracelet but not sure how to approach that, i haven't done that be4 and don't know where to get the help from a professional......any other suggestions?

If you have a large chump of change to spend, then you're best bet would be technology: -- iPad -- iTouch -- Portable dvd player -- Speakers for their iPods, etc. But if you're on a strict budget (under $20): -- Sephora.com has cute makeup & perfumes (its best to visit the store than buy online, they have free in-store makeup makeovers!) -- Claire's (jewelry store) was my Go-To place for my girly friends -- Hot Topic was my Go-To place for my gothic/metal/punky friends -- Pay their ticket to a movie they really want to see (or a movie giftcard) -- Pay for their meal at a restaurant they like (or that restarant's giftcard) -- A handmade gift such as a photo album, a stuffed animal, etc show that you're a thoughtful friend that spent a good amount of time dedicated to them If you're planning on giving them their gifts together, a goup outing is best: -- Karaoke -- Bowling -- Amusement Park -- Get tix to a concert in town -- Have a themed party/sleep over I hope this overs it... ;)

Book recommendations can also be found on the bookshelf of A Mighty Girl (website or Facebook page). I seem to have several focused (obsessed?) 10yo girls around me. Their interests can be endlessly inspirational for gifts. One is keen on horses, so books, riding gear, an alarm clock that neighs - really! - posters, and other horse stuff. Another likes outdoor stuff so hanging & climbing frames, ropes, camping gear. Yet another makes things so craft supplies in consultation with parents. Yet another is dyslexic and needs help with reading so I bring her graphic novels and books written to help dyslexic kids.
