Oh come on people! Shut up with that whole "wanting depth" mumbo jumbo...looks matter to us all. We want an attractive + cool person if we could get one....would you choose barbara walters/dr phil if they had depth and a cool personality or adriana lima/david beckham if they had a cool personality and depth? Come on, dont kid yourself, only ugly people say looks dont matter. I was overweight and not many guys paid attention to me, now that I am slim an actually attractive I get stared at so much and I get people asking me out (BUT they only ask me out when they become my friends). If I am not their friend, they would have never asked me out..I know this because they tell me "I cant believe youre talking to me...I never thought of talking to you because I felt you were going to reject me or you had a boyfriend cuz ur so beautiful"...Thats all I get. I also get guys flirting with me when they have fat/average significant others, so that says they feel like thats all they can get so they settle. I have met gorgeous single girls and even I cant believe they are single...not many guys ask them out either unless she talks to them first and if they do, they are stupid man-whore guys for the most part. So my advice to you is that YOU have to make the moves because even the best looking guys get insecure....I have also seen many ugly/average chicks with guys, but then again the guys are average and ugly for the most part too so I dont feel so bad... :) So yeah, looks matter...get a social psychology book and read the attraction section. No matter what you tell yourself, looks matter (even babies like looking at attractive faces...and teachers pay more attantion to attractive kids)... @Gia, nope, it wasnt her that gave the thumbs down...it was me--you know, the one with the good sources. You say you're a pretty girl and don't go around bragging about it...um, you just did. If you really wanted to get your point across you would have not have mentioned that you were pretty.

Why do handsome guys date ugly girls?
It's not just like that but I see GORGEOUS girls with some butt *** ugly guys. This one girl I went to school with graduated and is now modeling in Las Vegas. Her boyfriend for three years in Highschool was downright hideous. He was funny though and he drove a red convertible. This other girl I knew was a really pretty dancer and she looked EXACTLY like that girl from Step Up one and her boyfriend looked like a ferret. No joke. But he was HILARIOUS. Everyone liked him and he was like the life of the party. When it comes to guys though ... this one super hot guy liked me but his immaturity kind of repelled me. He was gorgeous sexy though, OMG. His personality made him SO ugly to me though and he asked me why I turned him down like he couldn't believe it lol. Now I like this one guy who looks super plain but his personality is like way hott to me. Bottom line is ... personality can make the appearance. How one projects themselves can make them ugly and repulsive ... or charming and alluring.

There are those who, gaining some maturity, understand that appearance and substance are two different things. Then we come to love whom we love, and those we love are not ugly.The beautiful girl and the ugly boy of your question are living childish dreams. Perhaps they will awaken to the beauty of life, or perhaps they will slumber their way through their lives. Who can say when or even if one will mature?

So you haven’t seen the dozens of questions and hundreds of answers on here saying that a guy doesn’t stand a chance with a woman unless he is movie star handsome or absolutely loaded? Or that looks are subjective what you think of as attractive or unattractive are not the same things as what some else might find attractive or unattractive? Nor the answers pointing out that men and women are all human and human emotions are complicated and dependent on a lot more factors than just looks? The truth is that, apart from some very shallow temporary pairings, while appearance may often be the first thing that makes someone notice another person but it’s who they are that makes a relationship work not how they look. Looks fade, no matter how attractive you are it won’t last but if you find someone who brightens your day and picks you up when you are down, if you are sensible enough to recognise it they are worth their weight in diamonds. People go out with other people and while you may think that there is a vast difference in their looks or none at all they may not agree with your opinion
Why do girls only care about looks ?
Well it isn't fun to look at ugly guys and comment on them, only the hot ones. But, that doesn't mean that we only care about looks. It is just for fun when we are in a group people-watching. As to your additional detail - yeah, I would. Eavesdropping shouldn't tell you everything about females.
