Why do girls wear UGGs with shorts?
I know this is a stupid complaint, BUT... It drives me nuts. UGGs are boots and boots are made for cold weather, NOT summer. I can understand if you're just throwing them on to get to point A from point B, but girls in my town where them as if it's a groundbreaking outfit. Hi, it looks stupid. What's the point in wearing shorts if you're going to wear those tall, hot, boots with them? It just looks stupid. Am I alone here? Anyone else find this "fashion" trend an annoyance?
Whats up with girls and uggs/furry boots?
They are absolutely terrible... the people who wear them only wear them because they are expensive and they want to show that off. I don't care what they say. That is the only possible real reason. UGGS are boots that were invented for farmers in Australia to put on in the middle of the night and go outside on their farm to do whatever random stuff they had to do. They were never meant to be worn outside the property of a late night farmwork run... they certainly weren't meant to be a fashion statement. Anyway, there are other MUCH more attractive, much more high quality, warmer, cuter, etc. boots that cost a lot less than UGGS. So yeah... I pretty much agree. UGGS are terrible. That's been the case for almost a decade now though... I just ignore it... if they wanna charge up their credit cards so they can wear ugly stupid boots (that btw men also HATE)... then hey, more power to them...
Why do girls wear daisy duke shorts and then wear boot like uggs ?
because it's the closest thing to what a stripper wears that they won't get sent home for? :P UGGS are the stupidest things ever. They originated in Australia and were intended to be SLIPPERS.. then some American girls got a hold of them and started wearing them outside... (which is why they always bend in the heel and get worn out in the winter... because they are for INSIDE!) Anyway, I stick with my previous answer, girls are stupid and want to do whatever they can to show off their assets... and i doubt they guys realize how idiotically the girls are dressed... their eyes are just glued to their... assets" So, any self-deprecating girl looking for attention would probably wear them.

Do they wear Uggs where it doesn't get cold?
My friend is moving after the holidays to Austin, Texas from New Jersey and proudly showed me her new Uggs today (slipper/moccasin style - NOT full boot). I couldn't help but wonder if she will wear them after the move to Texas.. so, do people wear Uggs in Texas???
Anyone else wear shoes without socks even in the winter?
There is no way I can be the only girl who still prefers to wear my shoes without socks in the winter, more or less regardless of how cold it is. One girl I ran into today told me I was crazy for not wearing any socks or tights in December. Ive always thought that as long as its technically above freezing outside, its fair game for wearing ballet flats without socks or going bare legged in high heels without pantyhose. As long as its about ten degrees above freezing, I think its positively wonderful to go without socks. Maybe its just me, but I've always felt that as the temperature gets closer to freezing going without socks or tights with your flats or heels just shows what a tough girl you are deep down. Boys like girls who can show toughness without being too manly, and theres no better way to do that! I mean, Im not crazy - if its truly below freezing or like a negative number outside, thats what winter boots are for. When it gets below freezing here, I usually just wear Uggs fur lined boots; although I still wear my Uggs without socks, the way they were meant to be worn. My bare feet are always still plenty warm in the Uggs, so I see no reason to give in on this sock nonsense. =) Tell me Im not alone on this
Ballet shoes? (flats, not the dancing shoes)?
Is it ok style wise to wear ballet shoes in the winter? does it look stupid. Is it a BIG NO! Is it ok to wear them in the fall? I live in texas and it usally gets down to the 50's. The lowest temperature is 40, but only a few days. I was just wondering cuz i just found a pair I bought last year. Thanks for helping. Also what's a good boot for a teenager (14)? I'm tall and skinny. I need something for everyday wear that's casual, but could maybe dress up for a dinner or something. I want something besides uggs! Please leave a link or picture. Thanks!
Does Uggs kill sheep to make their boots?
I doubt that Uggs people are out in the fields clubbing sheep and peeling their skins off :) To state that sheep get killed to make ugly boots is a slight exaggeration; their lives are taken for the meat and the skins are a byproduct butchers have no use for. One man's trash is another man's treasure.The tanning industry buys the skins, adds value to them by transforming skin into leather and only then manufacturers buy it to make things out of it, adding value once more. So to answer your question: Uggs doesn't kill sheep but they do use the hides of dead sheep. :/

For their proper purpose, UGGs are perfect. Form follows function, so they are beautiful when used for their proper functions. After-ski boots, snow boots, terribly cold weather boots? Yes! Room for an orthotic if you need one to walk well? They have that! Traction sole! Fits Yak-Traks or other crampons? You bet!If you want something to wear with a business suit or an evening dress, carry something else to change into on arrival.
